Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penulisan ini adalah siswa kurang disiplin waktu, siswa kurang memiliki rasa ingin tahu terhadap mata pelajaran yang sedang dipelajari, siswa kurang kreatif dalam belajar, siswa kurang bertanggungjawab terhadap tugas yang diberikan oleh guru, siswa kurang menghargai prestasi, siswa kurang mandiri dalam belajar, kualitas pembelajaran matematika belum maksimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pendidikan karakter dengan pembelajaran matematika. Jenis penelitian adalah jenis penelitian korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 5 Susua. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket. Hasil penelitian ini adalah uji hipotesis memperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 9,547> ttabel 1,678 sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara pendidikan karakter dengan pembelajaran matematika siswa, hal ini dapat terlihat dari hasil analisis uji korelasional yang menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel penelitian ini memiliki hubungan dengan kategori tinggi. Penelitian ini menyarankan kepada pihak sekolah diharapkan dapat menciptakan kegiatan-kegiatan yang menumbuhkan interaksi positif, dengan membuat organisasi kesiswaan. Hal ini sangat diperlukan karena melalui organisasi sosial remaja bersama teman-teman dapat saling bertukar informasi, memberikan perhatian dan saling memberikan pendidikan satu sama lain yang pada akhirnya dapat membantu dalam proses pengembangan pembelajaran matematika siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Student Worksheet based on Contextual Teaching and Learning on social arithmetic material that is valid, practical and effective. The type of research used in this research is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The data collection techniques used were validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and student learning outcomes tests. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used is qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Based on research and discussion, the validation results from material experts are 83.33% with very feasible criteria, the validation results from media expert validators are 80% with very feasible criteria, and the validation results from language expert validators are 92% with very feasible criteria. The practicality test results of individual trial respondents were 73.66% with interesting and practical criteria, the results of small group trial respondents were 75.50% with the interesting and practical category, and the results of field trial respondents were 75.54% with interesting and practical categories. practical. The effectiveness results obtained an average value of 81% in the very effective category. Researchers hope that this LKPD can be used to improve students' abilities in the material of indefinite integrals in algebraic functions.

Abstract

This study examines the challenges faced by eighth-grade students at State Junior High School 1 Lahusa in solving systems of linear equations with two variables. This study aims to elucidate the challenges faced by students in solving systems of linear equations with two variables. This study is qualitative and employs a descriptive methodology. The participants in this study were 24 eighth-grade students from SMP Negeri 1 Lahusa. Data analysis process include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Interviews and tests are data collection procedures that are used. The research findings indicate that 25% of students struggle with idea generation, 50% have difficulty understanding the topic, and 25% find it challenging to do calculations. The challenges arise from students' lack of accurate understanding of problem-solving strategies and skills. Conclusively, 8th-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Lahusa have the greatest challenge in understanding issues. This study suggests that teachers' instructional design should aim to provide a question-and-answer forum to address students' challenges.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of the CTL learning model on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in three-dimensional material. This research approach is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type of research. The population of this study was class XII of SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Dalam in the 2023/2024 academic year, consisting of 262 students. Samples were taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique, namely class XII Science-Melati (Experiment) 34 students and XII Science-Teratai (Control) 26 students. The instrument used is a test of students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in three-dimensional material. The results of research data processing showed that the average Pretest score for the experimental class was 65.59 and the control class was 65.38 and the Posttest for the experimental class was 72.03 and the control class was 66.12. Hypothesis testing using the Independent-Samples T Test shows that the sig (2-tiled) value is 0.048 < 0.05, meaning there is a significant difference in the posttest scores for the two classes. It was concluded that the CTL learning model influenced students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in three-dimensional material. This is influenced by students who play an active role in discovering concepts of learning material through real experience and collaboration in discussions with friends and teachers. Researchers suggest (1) The CTL learning model is an alternative for teachers to build students' ability to understand mathematical concepts (2) Students are advised to seek and build understanding of learning material through their knowledge of the real world (3) The results of this research should be taken into consideration by researchers Next in choosing a learning model.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to gather empirical data on the impact of several learning methods (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) on the mathematical communication skills of class X students at SMK Negeri 1 Toma during the 2023/2024 academic year. This study falls under the category of quantitative research. All the participants in this study were 45 students in the X grade at SMK Negeri 1 Toma. The data gathering procedures used in this study consist of questionnaires and tests. The study employs many data analysis approaches, including Classical Assumption Test, Simple Linear Regression Analysis, Partial Determination Coefficient Analysis, and Hypothesis Testing. The study findings indicate that the tcount for the learning style variable (X) is 3,757 with a table value of 1.681, and the significant level is 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Additionally, the coefficient of determination test (R2) yields a value of 0.247, indicating that it has an impact of 24.7%. It can be inferred that the learning style variable (X) has a positive and substantial impact on the student's mathematical communication ability variable, as well as the mathematical communication ability of the whole class. Hence, academics propose doing a comprehensive investigation to scrutinise this event and use it as a point of reference.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the comparison of demonstration methods and discussion methods in increasing understanding of trigonometry concepts in Class X SMA Swasta Teluk Dalam. This research uses a type of quantitative research, namely experimental class 1 using the demonstration method and experimental class 2 using the discussion method. The population in experimental class 1 is class X-A of the SMA Swasta Teluk Dalam, totaling 30 students, while the population in experimental class 2 is class X-B of the SMA Swasta Teluk Dalam the totaling 28 students. Results of the research stated that in experimental class 1 by carrying out the pretest the average learning outcome was 58,28 and the posttest obtained an average learning outcome of 73,41. Meanwhile, in experimental class 2, the pretest obtained an average learning result of 57,85 and the posttest obtained an average learning result of 61,32. So, there is a comparison of the demonstration method with the discussion method. The conclusion of the research based on hypothesis test calculations is that tcount = 2.74 is greater than ttable = 2.004 with a significance of 5% because tcount > ttable then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, which means the research shows that there is a difference in understanding the concept of trigonometry between students taught using the demonstration method and students who are taught using the discussion method in class X of the SMA Swasta Teluk Dalam. Students taught using the demonstration method tend to have better understanding than students taught using the discussion method. It is hoped that every subject teacher applies the demonstration method to improve students' learning abilities and students' understanding of concepts in Trigonometry material as well as to serve as a guide or reference for every reader or researcher who wants to write their next thesis.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the lack of ability to understand mathematical concepts of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Ulususua on Cartesian Coordinates material. The aim of this research is 1) To describe the ability to understand mathematical concepts of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Ulususua on Cartesian coordinates material through a test of the ability to understand mathematical concepts. 2) to find out students' obstacles in completing Cartesian coordinates material through a test of the ability to understand mathematical concepts. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The informants in this research were 22 students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Ulususua. Based on the results of tests on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Ulususua on Cartesian coordinates material, it is known that the average student score is 45.55, which can be classified into several score categories, namely 1 person (5%) has a very good score, 2 good scores. people (9%), the fair score was 10 people (45%), the poor score category was 7 people (32%) and the very poor score was 2 people (9%). So it can be concluded that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Ulususua is dominant in the sufficient score category. The obstacles faced by students in completing the test are that students are less able to understand the concept of material and classify the concept of Cartesian coordinates in the questions, students are less able to develop their thinking regarding the concept of Cartesian coordinates, students do not understand the representation of the concept of Cartesian coordinates and students are less able to use algorithms. solve the problem correctly. Researchers suggest that students must understand the importance of the ability to understand mathematical concepts and teachers should pay attention to how important students' ability to understand mathematical concepts is in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This research was motivated by conceptual errors based on the learning styles of class VII students at SMP Negeri 3 Huruna when completing algebraic operations. This research aims to describe students' conceptual errors based on learning styles in solving algebraic operations problems. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The informants in this research were 25 class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Huruna. Data were analyzed using data reduction steps, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, tests and interviews. The results of this research from all student answers show that students made 31.6% reading errors, 32% understanding errors, 25.6% transformation errors, 4.8% processing errors and 6% errors in writing the final answer. So it can be concluded that class VII students at SMP Negeri 3 Huruna experienced errors in understanding based on the visual learning style. Through this research, researchers suggest that teachers create a more enjoyable atmosphere for mathematics learning and provide students with the habit of solving mathematical problems using good and correct solution steps.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the team quiz method and the individual student quiz method being less effective. The purpose of this research is to find out whether there is a difference in students' mathematical problem solving abilities using the Team Quiz and Individual Quiz methods on sequence and series material in Class X of SMK Negeri 1 Lolowa'u. The type of research used is quantitative research. The population in this study was class X with a total of 55 students. The research instrument used was a test of mathematical problem solving abilities using the team quiz method and the individual quiz method. The results of the research stated that in experimental class 1, by carrying out the initial test, the average learning outcome was 52.33 and in experimental class 2, the average learning outcome was 50.01. Meanwhile, in the final test in experimental class 1, the average learning result was 72.94 and in experimental class 2, the average learning result was 71.01. So, there are differences in students' mathematical problem solving abilities using the Team Quiz and Individual Quiz methods. So it can be concluded that applying the Team Quiz and Individual Quiz methods has a great influence on the learning outcomes of class X students at SMK Negeri 1 Lolowa'u. The suggestion put forward by researchers is that teachers should use team quiz and individual quiz methods in learning in order to increase active student participation in learning that takes place in class, as well as serve as a guide or reference for every reader or future researcher, but pay attention to weaknesses in order to obtain appropriate solutions. even better.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' ability to understand concepts and learning motivation, especially regarding the Pythagorean theorem material. This research uses this type of research Qualitative with a descriptive approach. The informants in this research were class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Lolofitu Moi with a total of 20 students. Data were analyzed using the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The instruments in this research were concept understanding ability tests, questionnaires, and interviews. Based on the results of the research and discussion, the researcher concluded that class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Lolofitu Moi had different abilities in understanding concepts and students' learning motivation. In the concept understanding test it is in the poor category. The results of the test research show that the intrinsic motivation category is in the high and medium categories. Meanwhile, the results of the extrinsic motivation questionnaire were in the high and medium categories. The researchers' findings showed that they were unable to carry out mathematical manipulations; students are unable to draw conclusions, compile evidence, provide reasons or evidence for the truth of the solution, students are unable to draw conclusions from statements; and students are unable to draw patterns or properties of mathematical phenomena to make generalizations. Meanwhile, regarding learning motivation, most students are not yet able to study independently. Through this research, it is suggested that the emphasis on learning should not only be on outcomes, but more on processes related to students' ability to understand concepts and learning motivation.
