Abstract

A research to study potato yield (Solanum tuberosum, L.) var. Granola L. (G1) at various concentrations of Trichoderma sp. and planting media, has been done in April to July 2018 in Bandongan Wetan, Ngablak Village, Ngablak District, Magelang Regency. The altitude is 1300 meters. The research method used factorial experiments (4 x 3) arranged in a  randomize complete block design, repeated 3 times. The first factor is concentration of Trichodermsa sp. which consists of : 0 ml/l, 5 ml/l, 10 ml/l, and 15 ml/l. The second factor is type of planting media which consists of : soil + cow manure (2 : 1), soil + goat manure (2 : 1), and soil + chicken manure (2 : 1). The results showed that increasing the concentration of Trichoderma sp. till 15 ml/l don’t give an effect an all parameters. Soil + goat manure (2 : 1) increases yield per m2 and soil + chicken manure (2 : 1) increases harvest index. Different concentration of Trichoderma sp. on different planting media gave the regular result on all observed parameters.

Abstract

This research entitled Maintaining Growth of Cassava Leaves (Manihot esculenta Cranzt) through Mulching, Types of Cultivars, and Buds Cutting Intervals. The experiment was carried out in Balesari Village, Windusari District, Magelang Regency within six months. The aim is to study the growth patterns of cassava leaf shoots and to collect factual practice about the cultivation of cassava leaf which was not yet widely available. A faktorial experiment (2x2x3) which was repeated three times in a completely randomized design. This experiment tested the use of black silver plastic mulch, two cassava Rengganis cultivars, and Indung, with three levels of bud cutting intervals 45, 50 and 55 days after planting. Each treatment was repplicated three times. The results of this experiment indicate that the growth of shoots, namely the weight and length of buds formed is strongly influenced by the type of mulch, cultivar and shoot cutting intervals. Shoot shoots that grow with plastic mulch are better and shoot cutting intervals can also improve shoot shoots. While shoot lengths that grow on Rengganis cultivars are longer than Indung cultivars, there are interactions betweenplastic mulch, cultivars and cutting intervals

Abstract

Internet comes with a new possibilities, for agriculture, it can create a new stream of information about anything, whether it is about price of the crops, weather forecast, or in the next level, sharing and talking about innovation. Hence, despite the benefit of the internet, many of agricultural people didn’t make use of it to the fullest. This occur not just because their lack of knowledge about the internet itself, but also their lack capacity to know what best and what do they need about using the internet for their agriculuture. This research using literature review comunication in development paradigm modernization (top down) and alternative (bottom up) with descriptive methods. The result in this article reveal both of the paradigms can be used in certain condition depends of the capacity of agricultural people that involved in. In modernization paradigm, must include inisiator to boost people knowledge for internet, but in alternative paradigm, the inisiator didn’t have to much involve. So whether both of these type development communication used, it all depends on the capacity of the agricultural people on percieving the problems, or in this case the internet..  Keywords: Development, Communication, Internet, Agriculture, Agricultural Development

Abstract

Research on Biofiltotacum - The optimization of stem waste (Nicotianatabacum) aims to create a bio-filter from cellulose extracts of tobacco stems as a form of ultrafiltration membrane for river water filters. Tobacco stem waste can be utilized as an efficient and effective membrane feedstock. This research is done by phase inversion method. Quantitative data analysis was obtained with the calculation of acetyl content that is 16, 89%. Acetylation data obtained is smaller than the standard of 40%. The amount of acetyl content can be affected by several factors, including duration of acetylation process, temperature, stirring speed, acetate amount, and also solvent amount. In addition, the small amount of acetyl may be caused by the cellulose content in the tobacco rod is not yet optimally isolated.
