Abstract

The design of the ShoeStok application was carried out using the Design thinking research method to increase shoe sales. This application is designed with an intuitive user interface and provides various payment options, stock checking features, product availability notifications, as well as reviews and ratings of products that have been purchased. Design thinking is used to find the best solution for the problem at hand, with the stages of understanding, ideation, prototyping, and testing. Wireframing, prototyping, and user testing techniques are used to determine the layout and elements that will be displayed in the application. The result of designing this application is a Shoestok e-commerce application which has an intuitive UI and is easy for customers to use, which is expected to help increase shoe sales.

Abstract

Customer churn, also known as attrition, occurs when subscribers or customers stop doing business with an enterprise or organization by unsubscribing to a service, discontinuing membership or simply stopping payment. Churn is a critical metric because it is more cost-effective to retain existing customers than it is to acquire new ones. Since churning impedes growth, companies usually use a defined method for calculating customer churn in a given period. By monitoring churn rate and the various factors affecting it, organizations determine their customer retention success rates and identify strategies for improvement. The model, “Artificial Intelligence based Predictive Analysis of Customer Churn” is aimed at predicting a customer’s likelihood of discontinuing the usage of the products or services extended by a company, using ML & DL algorithms. It is built for the example of a US based telephone service provider’s services. This model uses machine learning’s capability to identify patterns and build prediction algorithms using provided data, blended with the adoption of complex algorithms of deep neural networks, which form deep learning. Accuracy tests, comparative graphs and illustrations equip this project with higher efficiency and good performance by estimating which is the best model from the suite of models created

Abstract

Newton’s method can be implemented for the Van der Waals equation of state (VDW EOS) and its derivatives. Application of programming language in chemical engineering is not new but however limited in practice, as it is not included in the curriculum of students of tertiary institutions across the globe. Finding roots through iteration for the VDW EOS can be described as interesting and simple using C++, FORTRAN, R, MATLAB, Java and Python languages; even though a perfect programming language does not exist. In this work, the coding syntax in the six languages employed to solve parameters in VDW EOS differs in terms of simplicity and user-friendliness. Notwithstanding, all of them proves to be an adaptable software, capable of solving chemical engineering problems leading to nonlinear relations

Abstract

The study aimed to design an automated system for a healthcare centre to manage their records. It aimed to describe the process of designing and developing the system using the modified waterfall model. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 25010 software standards were utilized to assess the technical feature of the system and the quality of using the system. The developmental research design was used, and IT experts and healthcare workers/residents served as the respondents. The results were analysed using weighted mean and frequency distribution, revealing that the system was successfully designed and developed using the software development model. IT experts and end-users evaluated the system with highly acceptable ratings. This study concluded that the system met the software quality standards assessment and recommended its implementation to benefit more people in the locality with further improvements

Abstract

This study aimed to design, develop, and assess an Ob-gyn Clinic Online Scheduling System using the stages of the software development life cycle. The respondents were IT experts and end-users who were purposively sampled from the Science City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. The system was evaluated using the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 25010 software standards. The results indicated that the SDLC model was effective in designing and developing such a system. The IT experts and end-users assessed the technical features and quality of using the system and gave favorable and acceptable ratings. The developed system was intended to help hospitals in accommodating their outpatients, particularly pregnant women or people with uterus problems, by making it easier for them to schedule their available time, date, or days and reducing their time spent waiting for their turn. Based on the assessment, the researchers recommended that this study could serve as a first step for gynecologists in developing the easiest way to schedule. Future researchers were encouraged to investigate the benefits and drawbacks of the system and its effects on patients and gynecologists. Understanding this research could assist future researchers in developing better systems

Abstract

This study aimed to design, develop, and assess a cross-platform scheduling and appointment reservation system for clinics. The software development life cycle (SDLC) was used to guide the development of the system, which included planning, defining requirements, design and prototyping, development, testing, and operations and maintenance. A developmental experts research design was employed, and the technical features of the system were assessed by IT following the ISO 25010 standards, while end-users evaluated the quality of using the system based on selected ISO 25010 standards. The results showed that the SDLC was appropriate in developing the system, and both IT experts and end-users found the system to be of high quality. Based on the results, the researchers drew conclusions and provided recommendations for future studies. The study revealed that a cross-platform scheduling and appointment reservation system for clinics can be developed using the SDLC with the involvement of IT experts and end-users in the assessment process. It is crucial to incorporate the ISO 25010 standards to ensure that the system is of high quality and meets the needs of the end-users

Abstract

CV. Sachio Express Sejahtera is a registered expedition company located in Surakarta. Attendance is the most crucial aspect for the company as it affects an employee's salary based on attendance data. Therefore, the presence of a real-time attendance system stored in a database is highly needed. The design of the employee attendance system utilizes the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which includes requirements planning, system design, development processes, and implementation. This method is employed to meet user needs and achieve desired outcomes. The result of the design for the employee attendance system is the utilization of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) cards as a tool for attendance record. It is expected that this system will assist employees in recording their attendance and reduce any potential data manipulation or inaccuracies

Abstract

Zaen Syariah Hotel still uses a conventional information system, which is less efective and ineffecient because it take a long time and requires data search in bookkeeping. In an effort to improve the design of the information system, imporovements need to be made to the manual room resevation administration and manual data management as well. The goal of designing this  information system is to facilitate acces and data retrieval. By using the information system at zaen syariah hotel, the admin can easily an quickly navigate through the hotel’s information system. The method used in designing this information system include data collction through interview and literature study, data collection through Unfied Modeling Language (UML) using use case diagrams, sequence diagram, activity diagrams, dan class diagrams

Abstract

In order to better understand tax avoidance in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), this study will examine the elements that influence it. organizational size, leverage, profitability, sales growth, institutional ownership, and other variables are the aspects that are the subject of this research on capital identity. Leverage is identified as a mediating variable in the relationship between these factors and tax avoidance. The population in this study were 398 companies. The sampling method used was purposive sampling and obtained 35 companies that became the object of research. The research data was obtained from the financial reports of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2021 period
