Abstract

This study investigates the causes of inheritance disputes in Fak-Fak Regency using a normative-empirical methodology. Normative analysis focuses on relevant inheritance laws, while empirical data, gathered through case studies and interviews, identifies contributing factors such as unclear property division, inter-heir conflicts, and limited public legal awareness. The study recommends creating more specific local regulations and implementing legal education programs to mitigate future disputes. Abstract

Adolescence is a transitional period characterized by biological, psychological, and social changes. During this phase, adolescents tend to have a high level of curiosity about reproductive health and sexual behavior. Lack of knowledge, exposure to digital media without adequate supervision, peer influence, and limited reproductive health communication with parents and teachers may increase the risk of engaging in risky sexual behaviors. At SMPN 11 Pekanbaru, specific and structured education focusing on the prevention of risky sexual behavior using an interactive and adolescent-friendly approach had not previously been implemented. The results of the activity demonstrated a positive improvement in participants’ knowledge, with the mean post-test score increasing from 9.44 to 9.88 compared with the pre-test score. A total of 12 participants (37.5%) experienced an increase in their scores, while 18 participants (56.25%) maintained their high scores. Three participants successfully answered questions during the question-and-answer session and received door prizes as a form of appreciation. The students demonstrated a high level of enthusiasm and openness throughout the activity. The outputs of this community service activity include a final community service report supplemented with activity documentation, a participant attendance list, educational materials, and pre-test and post-test results. Keywords: Remaja, Seksual Berisiko, Edukasi Kesehatan, Pencegahan

Abstract

Gout arthritis is an inflammatory joint disease caused by the accumulation of monosodium urate crystals, resulting in pain, stiffness, limited mobility, and impaired body balance in the elderly. This condition increases the risk of falls and reduces independence in performing daily activities. One of the non-pharmacological interventions that can be applied is Balance Exercise. This Final Nursing Scientific Project aimed to describe the implementation of gerontological nursing care through the application of Balance Exercise in elderly patients with gout arthritis who experienced impaired body balance in Pulau Nguan, Batam City, in 2026. The method used was a case study with a nursing process approach, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The subject of this case study was Mrs. J, a 61-year-old woman with a history of gout arthritis for approximately five years. The assessment results showed that the client experienced pain in the knee and ankle joints with a pain scale of 5 out of 10, impaired body balance, and a high risk of falls. Balance Exercise intervention was provided regularly according to the exercise program. The evaluation results showed a decrease in the pain scale from 5 to 3, improved body balance, increased postural stability, reduced fear while walking, and improved independence in performing daily activities. The application of Balance Exercise was effective in reducing fall risk and improving the quality of life of elderly patients with gout arthritis. It is hoped that clients will be able to implement this on their own, under the supervision of their families, to achieve better results. Keywords: Gout Arthritis, Balance Exercise, Fall Risk, Elderly

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) encompasses a set of practices adopted through conscious learning, enabling individuals or families to manage their own health and actively contribute to public health. Consistent adoption of PHBS is crucial for the elderly, given the high prevalence of chronic diseases in this age group. The 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) reported that 54.4% of the elderly were diagnosed with hypertension, and 51.08% experienced health issues annually. This situation is exacerbated by a lack of PHBS education specifically targeting the elderly at the community level. The urgency of this community service initiative stems from a preliminary survey conducted by the team in the Perhentian Marpoyan Urban Village, Pekanbaru City, which revealed that elderly residents lacked access to information, education, and understanding regarding the importance of clean and healthy living practices—a deficiency that negatively impacts their health. This activity aims to enhance the elderly's knowledge of PHBS, shift negative attitudes toward PHBS to positive ones, raise awareness of its long-term benefits, and provide easily understandable education through direct counseling and brochures. The methods employed included face-to-face counseling using a small-group approach, a demonstration of the six-step handwashing technique, and the distribution of illustrated educational brochures. Targeted outputs include a final community service report—complete with permits, a certificate of completion, attendance records, documentation, and pre- and post-test instruments—as well as a community service journal article. The results demonstrate a significant increase in knowledge: the average correct response rate rose from 76.7% in the pre-test to 100% in the post-test, with all 12 participants achieving a perfect score following the counseling session. This achievement meets the target of a minimum 30% increase in knowledge established during the initial planning phase. Keywords: Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), Elderly, Perhentian Marpoyan Urban Village, Pekanbaru City

Abstract

The research is motivated by the persistent occurrence of theft as a common form of criminality, which requires a comprehensive understanding that goes beyond merely reviewing penal norms. The objective of this research is to analyze the alignment and integration among the legal rules governing theft, the institutional mechanisms of law enforcement, and the legal culture that influences public compliance and responses to law enforcement. This study employs a normative juridical research method with a statute approach and a conceptual approach, using library research and qualitative analysis to develop legal arguments. The findings indicate that Indonesia’s legal framework provides a clear basis for criminalizing theft, particularly under Law No. 1 of 2023 (including Article 476), and also reflects differentiated provisions for various forms of theft. However, effective crime prevention and control depend on consistent and coordinated implementation by law enforcement agencies, as well as public awareness and willingness to respect property rights and report offenses. The study implies that strengthening regulation, improving law enforcement capacity, and fostering a supportive legal culture are essential to optimize the handling and prevention of theft offenses. Keywords: legal culture ; legal structure ; legal substance ; legal system ; theft
