Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang is a state hospital has done it is job and function, but in 3rd class of pavilion room, the number of patient decrease dramatically. It is concerned with quality of this hospital. To answer this problem, research was done using Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Quality Function Deployment is a tool which design some needs include customers represented as a voice of customer and including some competitions and also groups some activities that usually called affinity graphic ang getting a benchmarking for it is competition. From the result analysis can be showed that main attribute for patience is a accuracy. And from House Of Quality can be found that getting a periodic meeting to evaluate this hospital and also increase a service can be made 20 concept

Abstract

The existence of travel agency in Malang is viewed as strategic business because it could replace the personal vehicle for heading toward Juanda Airport in Surabaya since Malang itself didn't have any international standard airport so the member of the society who wants to get in or out from Malang using aeroplane should go to Juanda Airport in Surabaya. This would cause the competition among travel services in Malang become more competitive by the emerging of new travel agencies. In case the Kirana Travel Agency would maintain its existence, they need to make efforts to improve its service quality. Therefore, it require an experiment to found out what kind of service attributes that wanted by the customer and how does the gap between the perception and consumer expectancy toward the ongoing service quality. One of the planning method that can be use to translate the need of the consumer into action plan for the company is QFD. This step would be use as evaluation tool and planning on service quality improvement. To sharpened identification of the service quality attributes then the QFD approach integrated with Servqual approach. During the Servqual review, it is found eight service attributes that need to be fixed which is: information accuracy given by the employees, the precise time on pick-up, good reaction of the employees in handling consumer complaints, the availability of health and safety facility (First aid box, fire extinguisher, etc), travel order confirmation, driver that should consistently being polite toward the consumer, easy access to be called and gain information from the operator and travel prices. While the technical response prioritized to be fix and to be use for fulfilling the consumer satisfaction in Kirana Travel from the HOQ analysis includes: employees training (contributed 23.43%), providing special number for complain support (contribution 13.71%), fixing the communication inter-department inside the company (contribution 11.84%), fixing the pick-up schedule system (contribution 8.83%). The improvement proposal given by the researcher is to improve the new and old employee training so it could bring better performance in order to fulfilling the consumer satisfaction.

Abstract

This reseach has to find a production schedule with making a job schedule that have to be done on its machine to minimated makespan and total tardines. In this reseach used branch and brand method because of the reseach location involve the job shop scedulling the use data to find the scedulling is the job proses routing on each machine and its proses time. Than using Computer to acaunt proses casier in its interation/ makespan and total for devises.

Abstract

A strategic location is a place for facility location that built and is able to give maximum advantages for the company. The problem of deciding location is important in optimization area. In general, the solution of that problem focuses on facility placement that is able to minimize or maximizing distribution time, distance, transportation cost or another parameter. Therefore, an appropriate model is needed to determine the strategic location of warehouse establishment. The purpose of this research is to develop a Capacitated Maximal Covering Location Problem (MCLP) model that can be used in determining the location of warehouse establishment that can maximize the number of demands that can be served. From the model, the company not only finds the optimum location to establish the facility but also they can know the number of goods allocated from the distribution center to each demand point as well as the maximum number of demand that can be served.

Abstract

The vehicle routing problem is investigated by using some adaptations of the variable neighborhood search (VNS). The initial solution was obtained by Dijkstra’s algorithm based on cost network constructed by the sweep algorithm and the 2-opt. Our VNS algorithm use several neighborhoods which were adapted for this problem. In addition, a number of local search methods together with a diversification procedure were used. The algorithm was then tested on the data sets from the literature and it produced competitive results if compared to the solutions published.

Abstract

In recent years, Indonesia needs import million tons of salt to satisfy domestic industries demand. The production of salt in Indonesia is highly dependent on the weather. Therefore, this article aims to develop a prediction model by examining rainfall, humidity and wind speed data to estimate salt production. In this research, Artificial Neural Network (ANN) method is used to develop a model based on data collected from Kaliumenet Sumenep Madura.  The model analysis uses the full experimental factorial design to determine the effect of the ANN parameter differences. Then, the selected model performance compared with the estimate predictor of Holt-Winters. The results present that ANN-based models are more accurate and efficient for predicting salt field productivity.

Abstract

The reliability services and power quality of power system nowadays become popular in industry because of cost energy reason, not exception for PT SAI. This company utilize control unit process to produce aluminum foil. The purpose of this research is identifying and analyzing the power quality of PT SAI and then to find the correct and economical solution to extinguish the source of bad power quality. After we identified, we conclude that 65% of load are AC motors, 25% of DC motors, 8% of heater and 2% of lightning. For over voltage and under voltage, refers to IEEE 519 – 1995 standard, PT SAI have 99% of nominal voltage. But for voltage imbalanced, refers to NEMA MG-1-1993 standard, PT SAI have 1,22%. For THD of voltage, PT SAI have 1,98%. But for THD of current, PT SAI have 34,47%. While transformer loading between 0,47% - 29,7%.

Abstract

Organize company  stocks,  it's very important  thing  that  company  must be done, because operation cost is depend on how company organize their stock. And lock of stock it's  can anoycny  an such as production  at activities  company.  PT. Domusindo  Perdana  is  a company that  makes product such  as furniture to  full  fill consument  needed.  That  company  must  be ready  stock  one's of their produck  because  they  can't guess  wahat  consument . Want's  it's  can  makes  a  level  of stock  hot optimal  depend  on  this  phenomena,   on  this  thesis  will  explain  a  production  that  using  the  right methode  that  finally  can  calculate  stock  at  company  that  will  be  asking  with  consument  and for calcuiate cost of stock, it's will be using Markov Chain methode.

Abstract

Good condition of environmental work will support workers in performing operations maximally. Factors e.g. temperature, noise, and vibration have contribution in increasing psychological distress and affect to worker’s performance. PR Rezeki Abadi is a cigarette manufacturer which utilizes manual power of workers for establishing production in the whole flow process, starting from mixing materials (tobacco, sauce, and clove) until finishing. In accordance with measurement results, temperature and noise of environmental condition in mixing process workplace is higher than normal level so operators in this workplace get high psychological distress and often do mistakes in terms of mixing process. This research aims to develop environmental work condition particularly in the mixing material workplace and measure mental workload by using SWAT in order to find out the influence of environmental work development. Based on the development of environmental work condition through additional blower and use of earplug, it is obtained that temperature and noise intensity emerge in proper level with normal condition at 25–27°C and 75dB. The result of workload measurement using SWAT method shows that workload in average is under 40 so in other words the workload after development can be categorized as low level.

Abstract

Concrete mixing obtained from the fine aggregate and coarse aggregate is sand, stonebroken by adding sufficient adhesive cement and water as supporting material for purposesof chemical reactions during the process of concrete hardening and treatment progress, andmay also be additional material that could serve to strengthen or accelerate the development ofconcrete strength. Therefore, in order to obtain concrete with a light weight, one of which is toreplace the coarse aggregate is commonly used with natural stone aggregate is an alternativethat has a lighter weight but has the major attributes that do not differ greatly. The methodused in this study by testing it against a strong press, elastic modulus, split tensile strength,density, porosity. Increased modulus of elasticity of the variation in aggregate gradation gradationsI to III of variation 14.03%. On a good variety of aggregate inter-aggregate contact areawill be smaller so that the number of pores (porosity) of concrete produced would be smaller.With a small contact area porosity and the amount of cement needed in a similar treatment willbe less. The more small porosity variations in the use of aggregate gradation will memyebabkanconcrete gravity value greater. Small porosity values which will make the concrete moredense so that the stronger the resulting press will be great. In the strong increase in press andconcrete, will be followed by a rise in value of split tensile strength and modulus of elasticityof concrete.

Abstract

Support vector machines (SVM) is a robust method for  classification problem. In the original formulation, the dual form of SVM must be solved by a quadratic programming in order to get the optimal solution. The shortcoming of the standard version is as the classification problem is getting larger, the high computing time is needed. Cross entropy (CE) is a newly discovered optimization method with two main procedures: generating data samples by a chosen distribution, and updating the distribution parameters due to elite samples to generate a better sample in the next iteration. The CE method has been applied in many optimization problems with satisfying result. In this research, CE is applied to solve the optimization problem of Lagrangian SVM for faster  computational time. This method is tested in some real world datasets for classification problem. The results show that the application of CE in SVM is comparable to standard SVM in classifying two class data in terms of accuracy. In addition, this method can solve large datasets classification problem faster than standard SVM.
