Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang is a state hospital has done it is job and function, but in 3rd class of pavilion room, the number of patient decrease dramatically. It is concerned with quality of this hospital. To answer this problem, research was done using Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Quality Function Deployment is a tool which design some needs include customers represented as a voice of customer and including some competitions and also groups some activities that usually called affinity graphic ang getting a benchmarking for it is competition. From the result analysis can be showed that main attribute for patience is a accuracy. And from House Of Quality can be found that getting a periodic meeting to evaluate this hospital and also increase a service can be made 20 concept

Abstract

Production scheduling is one of the key success factors in the production process. Scheduling approach with Non-Permutation flow shop is a generalization of the traditional scheduling problems Permutation flow shop for the manufacturing industry to allow changing the job on different machines with the flexibility of combinations. This research tries to develop a heuristic approach that is non-delay algorithm by comparing Shortest Processing Time (SPT) and Largest Remaining Time (LRT) in the case of non-permutation flow shop to produce minimum mean flow time ratio. The result of simulation shows that the SPT algorithm gives less mean flow time value compared to LRT algorithm which means that SPT algorithm is better than LRT in case of non-permutation hybrid flow shop.

Abstract

Babat Drinking Water Treatment Plant (IPAM Babat) is one of the clean water facilities for Lamongan community. The process of clean water requires an appropriate processing. This process requires chemicals and energy that it will adverse effects to the environment. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is one of the environmental effects analyze methods for clean water process. The four phases of LCA are Goal And Scope Definition, Life Cycle Inventory, Life Cycle Impact Assessment, and Interpretation. The environmental impacts of the LCA method of processing are divided into three broad categories of impacts, namely the categories of human health, ecosystem quality, and resources. The result of LCA analyzed shows that electrical energy utilization product an environment impact significantly. This impact has consequences on the resource category (fossil fuels) and human health (climate change) due to CO2 combustion. The largest electric consumption is used for tools of pumping water due to the distant length intake and IPAM. The solution for reduced the electric consumption is using the equipment efficiency and water flow system by the power of gravity.

Abstract

Supplier evaluation process is a strategic activity on purchasing management that aims to find out the performance of the supplier. PT. Fronte Classic Indonesia is a company manufacturing car carpet, one of the raw materials needed in producing car carpet that is calcium. The supplier in partnership with the company has performance that is less suitable. The methods used in this research Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Taguchi Loss Function. AHP is used to determine the weights of the criteria and Taguchi Loss Function is used to calculate the loss function of the respective supplier. Supplier evaluation process carried out to search for suppliers and meet the criteria of the company. The criteria used in the evaluation of suppliers are price, delivery, quality, the accuracy of goods quantity, guarantee policy, response to claims. The results showed that the suppliers who meet the criteria of the company by providing minimum losses as the best supplier.

Abstract

PT. Hume Sakti Indonesia represent one of the company which experiencing of the problem of worker selection specially part of administration staff. Worker Selection in the year 2005 and work during more or less 1 year have less good performance. Existence of choices and criterions in election of employees, company should be able to take more accurate and precise decision. Also some alternative election of administration staff employees having equality in criterion which have been determined, so that make problems progressively complex. Beside that the existence of the condition of claiming decision making of employees selection which do not only can be answered yes or do not and also the existence of opinion of subjective in company. Method of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and of Fuzzy AHP tried for application to assist company in election of employees. Both method, hence will be got by consistency value of ratio, priority wight and best employees candidate with highest peringkat. At method of AHP employees owning rangking 2 highest by successively are Sulaiman 25.2% and Indrawati 22.4% while with method of Fuzzy AHP is Indrawati 26.5% and Sulaiman 22.8%. Both the method assign value differently, but method of Fuzzy AHP give result of more accurate because assessment to an criterion given in an value tolerance.

Abstract

Almost most of company operates based on request (order). The aim of company in industry world is get to complete the customer needs that are the high quality of goods, cheap goods price or finish and delivery product on time. To realize the mention the company must compose production planning hooked on scheduling of production. The scheduling in problems right now, there are excessively long delivery times and the large of total idle time. The Problems cause the height of production cost in company. To overcome the mention will conduct an approach of method that able to give job schedule more precise. The methods are Algorithm Heuristic Dispatching Rule Last Come First Serve, Algorithm Heuristic Dispatching Rule Shortest Processing Time, Algorithm Heuristic Dispatching Rule Longest Processing Time, Algorithm Heuristic Dispatching Rule Earliest Due Date, Algorithm Heuristic Dispatching Rule Slack Time, which one of the method will choose with criteria like minimize makespan, mean tardiness and total of idle time. So is obtained result of new method which give minimize of the criteria is Algorithm Heuristic Dispatching Rule Last Come First Serve for September 2007. With this method company can economize process time (makespan) 2 hours, mean tardiness 3,13 hours and total of idle time 26 hours. For October 2007 obtained new method which give minimize of the criteria is Algorithm Heuristic Dispatching Rule Longest Processing Time. With this method company can economize process time (makespan) 1,5 hours and total of idle time 19,5 hours.

Abstract

Companies that are categorized as small industries face many difficulties to keep survive or to develop their products. The subject of this study was convection home industry with the commodity as follows: Muslim clothes, sport shirt, baby clothes, children clothes, bed covers, veils, and many kinds of embroidery products. The purpose of CSSF (Contingent Strategic Success Formula) approach was to analyze the formula of success strategy by combining the internal condition with external condition of the company. The ways to do that were by measuring, estimating, and predicting the environment condition of the company at this time and at the specific time in the future. The measuring of internal condition of the company is aimed to know the things that need to be repaired so the company can fulfill the requirement of optimal external condition in the future. The finding of this study was shown in 4 cases. First, the variables that have influence in convection home industry were 36 industries. Second, there were 3 clusters of convection home industries, those were: Cluster 1, the companies of embroidery convection that lack of success, and Cluster 2 and 3, the company with mass production that success enough and very success. Cluster 1 was categorized as the company that left behind in the competition and its agresivieness and responssiveness is under environment turbulence. Cluster 2 was success enough because the turbulence difference with agresiveness and responssiveness is not wide. Cluster 3 was the best one because the company was number one in the competition and its agresiveness and resposiveness exceed the environment turbulence at this time. Three, to get success in the future, the company need to fulfill the optimal internal condition that suitable with the level of turbulency. It is better for the companies to apply 3 succeed marketing points, those are: to develop the positioning of the products in the specific SBA, create the strong differences, create mark equities, or the emotional relationship with the customers

Abstract

Eka Surya Makmur is a company that produce plastic bag. For couple years before, this company can't fill the customers demand because the machine capacity. Because of that, the labor working overtime, but still not optimal and effected to financial aspect significantly. That's way, need accurate analysis to minimize the failed effect and increase company income. To solve the problem, its suggest to use Prediction Method to predicted the future quantitatively based on current data. NPV (Net Present Value) is different value between current investment and reseipt net cash in future. IRR (Internal Rate of Return) is current interest level same with current cash flow or cash receipt in first investment. PI (Profitability Index) is ratio between present value proceed with present value outplay. PP (Payback Period) is payback parameter investment. The research result is that machine investment properly to conduct to avoid overtime job, and as financial aspect can increase net income. From financial prediction knew that demand increase 10% every year; NPV = Rp. 94.803.643.788; IRR = 40%; PI = 54,41 %; PP = 0,06 year (21,9 days).

Abstract

Noise is a longitudinal wave which is known as pressure wave. Therefore, noise is expected to disturb the stability of fluid flow. The disturbance is expected to increase the heat transfer of fluid flow. In this research, noise was applied to condenser cooling of air in a refrigeration system. Effect generated is directly measured by amount of heat capable to be released into the air passing condenser, and indirectly by the compressor energy required and coefficient of performance (COP) of refrigeration system. Experimental results indicate that noise with intensity level of 115 dB with frequency around 100–500 Hz at air velocity of 5,3 m / s increases the amount of heat capable to be released into the air which is 10,1%, reduces compressor energy to 12,8% and increases coefficient of performance (COP) by 11,4% compared to flow without noise.

Abstract

PT "X" on the weaving department had oven the material accumulation was caused by buying material is over. Another always have under capacity work time result cut back schedule material shipping. So that needs arrangement adjustment from fist capacity and needs. And than recalculation, amount ordering material in order to not happened material accumulation. MRP method use for determine exact lot sizing. The comprise amount ordering and frequency ordering. Compare the suggestion cost before suggestion lot sizing occur fist lot sizing, so can determine lot sizing method use balanced between load and capacity. Add load and capacity or decrease load and capacity. From comparison fist capacity and suggestion capacity so can a profit capacity. Based on the analysis we can know on the suggestion lot sizing have efficiency 78.26% concerning fist lot sizing. The suggestion capacity experience decrease 17.14% from fist capacity. And than efficiency labor force cost 13.55% occur fist labor force cost.

Abstract

Distribution method of Reorder Point is method which controlling and observing the amount of Inventory pursuant to at boundary of Reorder Point. If inventory smaller than boundary of reorder point hence require to do/conduct order. Method of Distribution Resource Planning is method which controlling and observing the amount of inventory pursuant to at stock safety. Where if inventory less than stock safety hence require to do/conduct order as according to time lead. Each;Every company will be out for always always menu request of consumer when and correct amount. For that fluency in pendistribution of product have to be majored so that require to be done/conducted by an Schedule Mains Distribution good JID as according to requirement each;every existing distribution network level. In this research of writer try to compare the expense of released distribution with method of DRP and Method of Reorder Point. Where distribution system at PT. PAI Probolinggo use Method of Reorder Point. In the reality after its it him Method distribution of DRP the expense of compared to smaller distribution of Method of Reorder Point. With applying of DRP can cost effective equal to that is equal to Rp. 1823171.4 or 14.7386369 % from expense of before using Reorder Point.
