Abstract

This study is aimed to determine: (1) the difference of students’ writing anecdot text ability between low and high motivated students taught by Project Based Learning model and conventional learning; and (2) the effect of learning approach and learning motivation in writing news text ability. The theory that became the reference in this research is the contextual opinion of Johnson and Komalasari, theory of motivation is adopted from Sardiman, and writing news text is gotten from Panggabean. This study is a quasi experimental design with non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study was all students of class X SMAN 3 Painan, the total number of students is 120. The sampling technique is cluster sampling technique. The sample was X E1 as experiment class, and X E2 as control class. Based on data analysis, the result of research was done at the 95% level of confidence: (1) The improvement of writing news ability of students taught by using contextual learning was significantly higher than students taught using the conventional learning because t_observed = 7.48> t_table = 2,021; it can be seen that the students' response in the process of teaching and learning by using contextual learning is better (2) the improvement in the students' writing news ability who have low learning motivation which is taught using a contextual learning is significantly higher than the students who have low learning motivation taught by using the conventional learning, with t_observed = 6.99> t_table = 2.048; (3) the improvement of students' writing news ability with high learning motivation which is taught by using a contextual learning is considerably higher than students who have high learning motivation taught by using conventional learning, t_observed = 2,36> t_tabel = 2,048 (4) there is an interaction between learning approach and student's learning motivation on year twelve students' writing anecdot text ability at SMAN 3 Painan, with Fobserved = 5,554 <Ftable = 4,02; in conclusion, the contextual learning can be used as an appropriate learning approach and improve the learning outcomes of news text writing ability.

Abstract

The research entitled "The Influence of the Gallery Visit Model on Students' 4C Ability in Short Story Learning" was motivated by students' lack of interest in short story learning. This happens because teachers have not been able to use appropriate learning models for learning short story texts. The aim of this research is to see whether the use of the gallery visit model can influence students' 21st century skills, namely what is known as 4C (Cerative, Communicative, collaborative and critical). This research uses a qualitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. In this research, data was obtained that the classes that received treatment showed an increase in 4C abilities compared to classes that did not receive treatment.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) describe the personality of the character Kugy in the novel Perahu Kertas by Dewi Lestari, (2) describe the personality of the character Saya in the novel Si Parasit Lajang by Ayu Utami, (3) describe the intertextual relationship between the personality of the character Kugy in the novel Perahu Kertas by Dewi Lestari and I am in the novel Si Parasite Single by Ayu Utami. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive analysis methods. The data in this research is in the form of sentences and dialogue contained in the novel. The steps taken are (1) data comparison, (2) categorization, (3) presenting data with tabulation and description, and (4) interpreting to draw conclusions, and (5) reporting research results. Based on data analysis and discussion of the personality of the character Kugy in the novel Perahu Kertas by Dewi Lestari, findings were obtained based on the nine personality types of Baron and Elizabeth's theory, that the figure of Kugy is a romantic personality. Furthermore, the personality of the female character Saya in the novel Si Perasit Lajang by Ayu Utami is that the character Saya has an observer personality. Viewed from various aspects, the novels Perahu Kertas and Si Parasit Lajang in intertextual studies are character transformations, themes of love and friendship, as well as the influence of popular culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis Pengaruh Keterampilan Menulis Teks LHO dengan Menggunakan Metode Experiential Learning dengan Berbantuan Media Scrapbook pada siswa kelas X (Fase E) di SMAN 3 Painan. Teori yang menjadi acuan dalam penelitian ini tentang metode pembelajaran Experiential Learning dan media Scrapbook dalam menulis teks LHO. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen semu (quasy experimental design). Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa di SMAN 3 Painan yang terdiri dari 4 kelas dan menetapkan kelas X E3 dengan peserta didik sebanyak 29 orang sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas X E2 dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 29 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh hasil penelitian yaitu : 1) Nilai rata-rata Kemampuan menulis teks LHO yang diajar melalui Metode Experiental Learning dengan berbantuan Media Scrapbook sebesar 36,72, lebih tinggi dari pada nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep peserta didik yang diajar melalui Metode pembelajaran konvensional sebesar 33,36. Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan peserta didik yang diajar melalui Metode Eksperimen menulis LHO menggunakan Scrapbook dan Metode Konvensional. Perbedaan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep peserta didik yang diajar melalui Metode Eksperimen menulis LHO menggunakan Scrapbook lebih baik dari peserta didik yang diajar melalui model pembelajaran Metode Konvensional. 2) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara Metode pembelajaran Experiental Learning dan media Scrapbook dalam memengaruhi keterampilan menulis teks LHO kelas X (fase E) di SMAN 3 Painan. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa Hasil Keterampilan menulis teks LHO peserta didik yang diajar dengan metode (Experiential Learning) lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar peserta didik yang diajar dengan metode konvensional. Tidak adanya pengaruh antara Metode Experiential Learning dengan media Scrapbook dalam kemampuan menulis teks LHO kelas X (Fase E) di SMAN 3 Painan. Kata Kunci: Keterampilan menulis, media Scrapbook, menulis teks LHO, metode pembelajaran Experiential Learning.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the ability to write editorial texts for students in class The population of this study were students of class The research sampling technique was carried out using a random sampling technique, namely by taking the entire population as a sample if the population was less than 100. The data collection technique in this research was a performance test. Data analysis techniques include reading, correcting and scoring student test results, converting raw scores into grades, classifying student scores on a scale of 10, making a histogram, and summarizing the results in the form of a thesis. The results of research on the ability to write editorial texts based on linguistic structures and rules, the average score of students' ability to write editorial texts based on the structure of the issue introduction section is at perfect qualifications with an average score of 100. The students' ability to write editorial texts based on the structure of the argumentation section is at excellent qualifications with an average score of 100. Students' ability to write editorial texts based on the structure of the conclusion and recommendation sections is in very good qualifications with an average score of 90.66. Students' ability to write editorial texts based on linguistic rules for parts of popular words is at perfect qualifications with an average score of 100. Students' ability to write editorial texts based on linguistic rules for parts of time, place and events is at perfect qualifications with an average score of 99. 56. Students' ability to write editorial texts based on linguistic rules for persuasive sentences is more than adequate with an average score of 66.23. Students' ability to write editorial texts based on the linguistic rules of the conflicting conjunction section is at almost sufficient qualifications with an average score of 52.89. The students' ability to write editorial texts based on the linguistic rules of our pronoun section is at a sufficient qualification with an average score of 65.33. Based on the qualifications above, it can be concluded that the students' ability to write editorial texts in class XII Semester 1 of SMA Negeri 1 IX Koto Sungai Lasi, Solok Regency Academic Year 2023/2024 is in good qualifications (BK) with a mastery level of 76-85% with an average score of 84.77.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students' ability to write procedural texts in learning activities (P5). Based on the results of observations and interviews that researchers found, in the P5 learning activity report there are procedures or procedures for working on a project. Therefore, researchers found a connection between learning Indonesian, namely procedural texts in making reports from P5 activities. This type of research is quantitative using descriptive research methods. This research data was obtained from the results of student performance. The data collection techniques in this research are: (1) the researcher explains writing procedural texts based on their structure and linguistic characteristics to students. (2) the researcher provides examples of correct procedural texts according to their structure and linguistic characteristics. (3) the researcher gives students the opportunity to ask questions about the procedure text that will be written. (4) the researcher instructed the students to write procedure texts according to what had been practiced in the P5 local wisdom activity "making batik" (5) the researcher collected the students' procedure texts that had been written. Based on the research results, it was found that the ability to write procedure texts in P5 learning according to the procedure text structure was 93.35 with very good qualifications and linguistic rules were 83.9 with good qualifications. Based on the research results described in chapter IV, the ability to write procedural texts in learning activities (P5), class VII students at SMPN 4 Kubung, Solok Regency obtained an average of 88.67 with excellent qualifications.
