Abstract

The water wheel is defined as a mechanical device in the form of a wheel with blades (buckets or spatulas) around the edges which are on the horizontal axis of water as the working fluid. The water flowing into and out of the wheel has no excess pressure, only atmospheric pressure. The speed of the water flowing into the wheel must be large, because if the speed is large, the impetus on the blades of the water wheel will be greater. Comparison of the Effect of Natural Flow Performance and the Use of Sluice Gate on the Wheel. The use of Sluice Gate on the Waterwheel affects the performance of the waterwheel and from several variations in the width of the sluice gate flow gap (25mm), (35mm), and (40mm) with a sluice gate flow gap of 40 mm with an efficiency of 38.12 % at 40 rpm rotation, which is 13 Watt higher than the natural flow test at 40 rpm, the rotation speed is 5.11 watts with an efficiency of 10%, and the lowest power at 10 rpm is 3 watts and an efficiency of 6% with a discharge of 12 liters per second.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology in the industrial sector apart from having a positive impact on economic development and the prosperity of the nation also has potential hazards that can cause accidents, fires or explosions and environmental pollution. Therefore it is necessary to have efforts to prevent and control work-related accidents and diseases in companies by referring to Law Number 1 of 1970 concerning Work Safety and the regulations derived and related to this matter. This study aims to determine the application of K3 in the company and the potential for work hazards as well as to determine risk control that occurs in the Finish Mill Unit of PT. Semen Indonesia (PERSERO) Tbk. Tuban Plant based on hazard identification and hazard assessment. Data collection methods in this study are observation and reference. While the data analysis method uses the HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Risk Control) method. Based on the research results, it can be seen that in general PT. Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. The East Java Tuban Factory has met statutory requirements in the scope of work safety including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Based on the results of the research, suggestions that can be conveyed are that it is necessary to carry out monitoring and review of the effectiveness of controls that have been implemented as a reference for continual improvement measures at certain time intervals.

Abstract

Performance is the most important aspect in achieving goals with maximum results from the performance of a good team or individual company. And vice versa, failure to achieve the formulated goals is the result of inefficient team or individual performance. the influence of employee safety and health on employee performance greatly determines the company's progress, this is due to the maximum worker conditions that will affect the results of their performance. This research uses multiple linear regression method because it uses x and y variables. In the regression method we have to distribute questionnaires to the respondents we are aiming for. This calculation uses the Multiple Linear Regression method with employee performance as the dependent variable (Y) and employee health and safety as the influencing variable (X). From the results of multiple linear regression analysis, it was found that the variable Health (X1) did not affect employee performance (Y) and safety (X2) had a linear effect on employee performance (Y). With a linear result Y = 1.652 –0.120 x1 + 1.046 x2.

Abstract

Occupational safety and health is a program created in an effort to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases. The goal is to create a comfortable, safe, and healthy workplace so that it can reduce the risk of work accidents as much as possible. The method used in reducing the risk of work accidents at PT. Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. The Tuban factory, namely the HIRARAC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control) method, After conducting the research, there are several sources of danger that exist in the kiln unit, namely operating the kiln when the percentage of carbon dioxide is high, replacing burnerheads, operating belt conveyors, repairing electrical panels, checking kiln shell inlets, breaking dead-end production lines, and adding chemical mixtures. Then they carried out risk management efforts to reduce the risk of workplace accidents. Risk control measures are guided by the control hierarchy, namely by means of elimination, substitution, design, administration, and PPE. Risk control that has been carried out is by installing and complying with safety lines, barricades, safety signs, and using PPE, including safety helmets, safety shoes, hand gloves, a full body harness, safety goggles, fire-resistant clothing (nomex), and respirators.

Abstract

PT Semen Indonesia (PERSERO) Tbk is a cement producing company in Tuban, so problems often occur in theproduction system including damage to the finish mill machine components. The machine components that are oftendamaged are Grinding tables, Tires, Reducer separators, Rockerarms, Bucket Chains, Seals, Shafts. The finish millmachine is the last area in the cement production process. The result of the final grinding in the form of cement isstored in cement storage silos. If maintenance is carried out on a scheduled basis, damage and production failurescan be minimized. The purpose of this industrial practical work is to schedule maintenance for finish mill machinesusing the FMEA method. The data collection method used was direct observation and interviews with theresponsible department in the finish mill machine area. From the results of industrial practical work carried out, itis known that machine maintenance is carried out with an overhaul system every few years. It is recommended toschedule maintenance for finish mill machines such as cleaning, replacement, lubrication so that components do notoften fail and damage during the production process.

Abstract

The location of the research carried out in writing the journal here is PDAM Surya Sembada, Surabaya City. PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya City is one of the companies owned by the Regional Government (PEMDA) whose role is in processing and providing clean water to serve the people of Surabaya city, taking raw water taken from the Jagir River to then be processed and then distributed to customers. At this time the machines that are used operationally at PDAM are fairly old and therefore machines often experience damage problems. One of the methods used to anticipate problems in this case is the FMEA method. This method is used to anticipate an small problems before big problems. The steps used in this method include processing damage data in 2021, identifying the type of damage, results of the identification process and finally conclusions and suggestions. The data collection process is obtained from the results of observations and interviews or discussions with related parties between managers, supervisors and maintenance staff.
