Abstract

The halal industry has now shifted from simply fulfilling religious obligations to global quality standards that include strategic sectors such as agriculture. This research aims to analyze potential, identify upstream-downstream technical challenges, and evaluate the implementation of halal industry development in the agricultural sector in Indonesia. The method used is qualitative descriptive with a case study approach on the Halal Agribusiness Area. Data was collected through literature studies on national regulations, institutional reports in 2023, and scientific literature related to halal supply chains. The results of the study show that Indonesia has great potential supported by the contribution of the agricultural sector to GDP of 13.5% and a significant increase in halal certification. However, the fundamental challenges are still found in the low halal literacy of farmers, the lack of specific regulations for agricultural inputs such as fertilizers and seeds, and the low allocation of halal research budgets which only reaches 5%. A case study in East Lombok proves that the integration of halal standards with organic farming systems and traceability can increase the economic value of products by 20-25%. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the acceleration of the halal agriculture industry requires regulatory synergy, strengthening halal laboratory infrastructure, and replicating the community-based agribusiness area model to increase global competitiveness in accordance with the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045. These findings imply that evidence-based policy interventions particularly in halal regulatory harmonization, halal infrastructure development, and farmer capacity building.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of the implementation of digital platforms on operational effectiveness with the role of moderating the quality of strategic partnerships, using a case study of the Neutrafix Platform at PT Telin. Departing from the gap in the literature dominated by internal factors and perceptual survey methods, this study shifts the focus to external-relational factors and integrates Transaction Cost Economics Theory and Relational View. The study used an explanatory quantitative approach with a single case study design. PT Telin's time-series secondary data for the period January 2021–December 2025 (60 monthly data points) is processed into three measurable variables: Digital Platform Implementation (X) with Software Quality Score, Strategic Partnership Quality (Z) with Strategic Factor Score, and Operational Effectiveness (Y) as a composite index (cost, speed, reliability, service quality). Data analysis using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with SPSS. The results of the study show that the Implementation of Digital Platform has a positive and significant effect on Operational Effectiveness (H1 accepted). On the other hand, the Quality of Strategic Partnerships has a significant effect but with a negative direction (H2 accepted, negative coefficient), and has been shown to moderate the relationship between digital platforms and operational effectiveness in a negative direction (H3 accepted), which indicates that partnerships actually weaken the positive impact of technology. The discussion revealed that the counter-intuitive findings were explained by the concept of relational inertia from the dynamic version of the Relational View and the partnership life cycle theory. The stagnation of the partnership score over five years indicates a prolonged maturity phase , in which coordination and complacency costs lead to a decline in the partnership's contribution to operational performance. The study concludes that digital platforms are a key driver of operational effectiveness, but their benefits can be eroded by stagnant partnerships that are not dynamically managed. Practical advice for PT Telin's management includes periodic partnership evaluations, performance-based contracts, multi-sourcing, and redesign of coordination mechanisms. Theoretically, this study contributes to the strategic management literature by showing that the moderation effects of partnerships are not always positive in the long run.

Abstract

XYZ ABC Region is a company engaged in courier and financial services that has a big responsibility in maintaining service quality and distribution timeliness. However, employee performance in this company does not meet the target, which is suspected to be caused by internal factors such as career development and work discipline. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of career development and work discipline on employee performance with a case study conducted at PT. XYZ ABC Region. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The research sample consisted of 109 employees of PT. XYZ Region ABC, with data analysis techniques using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The independent variables in this study were career development and work discipline, while the dependent variable was employee performance. The results of the study show that career development has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, which means that the better the career development program implemented by the company, the higher the employee performance. In addition, work discipline also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, indicating that compliance with regulations and effective use of time are important factors in increasing productivity. Simultaneously, career development and work discipline contribute significantly to improving employee performance at PT. XYZ Region ABC. These findings are expected to provide input for company management in designing more effective human resource development strategies through improving structured career systems and consistent enforcement of work discipline to support the achievement of organizational goals in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study develops a competency unit standard for conducting competency-based recruitment assessment in Indonesian organisations. It addresses the absence of such a unit in the national competency framework (SKKNI) and seeks to strengthen HRD productivity through more evidence-based people-placement decisions. The study adopts a qualitative research and development (R&D) design based on the four-phase TAEDES504 framework. The unit was drafted using the Subject-Bold and Range Statement Integration Model, grounded in the author's Interface Model, which requires the grammatical subject of each Performance Criterion to be bolded and matched with a corresponding Range Statement entry. The draft was then validated against N.78SPS01.006.1, the formally endorsed Indonesian standard for NCS verification. The resulting unit, SKK-CKP-AS-01-26, comprises five Elements, 15 Performance Criteria, and 15 fully traceable Range Statement entries, while explicitly integrating all eight employability skills as assessment-method categories. Verification against all six criteria of N.78SPS01.006.1 Element 3 confirmed full conformity, with no Corrective Action Requests required. The paper offers the first formally structured SKKNI unit for competency-based recruitment assessment and contributes a practical, rule-based NCS formulation protocol that ensures bidirectional traceability between Performance Criteria and Range Statements. The protocol is potentially transferable to other competency-based training systems.

Abstract

Indonesia, as the largest economy in Southeast Asia, has experienced various economic dynamics following the COVID-19 pandemic, including fluctuations in investment, employment, and infrastructure development. This research analyzes the influence of investment, labor, and infrastructure on Indonesia’s economic growth during the 2020–2025 period. Using secondary data from BPS and related institutions, this study applies descriptive and quantitative analysis. The results show that foreign direct investment increased by 12.7% in Q1 2025, reaching Rp230.4 trillion. The labor force participation rate rose to 69.30% in 2023. Government infrastructure allocation reached Rp423 trillion in 2024, representing an 8% increase from the previous year. All three variables are positively correlated with economic growth, which reached 4.87% in Q1 2025. The interaction among these three variables creates synergy that drives economic growth through a multiplier effect, whereby infrastructure investment increases labor productivity, which in turn attracts further investment and creates a positive cycle for economic development. In conclusion, investment plays a strategic role in increasing production capacity and job creation; labor force participation continues to improve, although it still faces quality-related challenges due to the dominance of the informal sector; and infrastructure development reflects the government’s strong commitment despite the persistent infrastructure gap. The study recommends improving investment quality, strengthening labor training, and accelerating infrastructure development to support national economic targets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze human resource readiness in supporting the development of Batur Village as a tourism village in Semarang Regency. Human resources are considered a key factor in the success of tourism village development because they determine how local potential is managed and delivered to tourists. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Informants in this study include local communities involved in tourism activities, tourism managers, and village government officials.  The results show that human resource readiness in Batur Village is still not optimal. Several weaknesses are found, especially in foreign language skills, tourism knowledge, and destination management abilities. These limitations affect the quality of services provided to tourists and the overall management of tourism activities in the village. The study also finds that human resource readiness is influenced by several factors, such as education level, access to training, and support from the local government. Limited training opportunities and lack of continuous capacity building are key challenges in improving human resource quality. To improve the situation, human resource development needs to be strengthened through structured training programs, mentoring, and cooperation with educational institutions. These efforts are expected to improve community skills and support better tourism management. In conclusion, improving human resource readiness is essential to support the development of Batur Village as a competitive and sustainable tourism village

Abstract

Monetary policy has a strategic role in maintaining a country's macroeconomic stability, including Indonesia, by influencing inflation, interest rates, and economic growth. Global economic uncertainty and market volatility demand a deep understanding of the effectiveness of various monetary policy instruments and their impact on national economic stability. This study aims to explore how monetary policy affects macroeconomic stability in Indonesia through a systematic literature review (SLR) with a qualitative approach, to obtain comprehensive insights regarding monetary policy practices, challenges, and implications. The study uses a qualitative approach with SLR, reviewing national and international literature from 2010–2025 related to monetary policy, inflation, exchange rates, interest rates, and economic growth in Indonesia. The data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns, strategies, and implementation challenges of monetary policy, as well as its impact on macroeconomic stability. Findings show that monetary policy, including interest rate settings, liquidity intervention, and credit policy, plays an important role in maintaining Indonesia's economic stability. Adaptive implementation of monetary policy to global volatility increases market confidence, reduces inflation, and supports economic growth. The review results also identify challenges such as slow response to external changes, inter-institutional coordination, and limited policy instruments. Specifically, the findings recommend: (1) accelerating real-time economic monitoring systems to reduce institutional policy response lags; (2) establishing formal inter-institutional coordination frameworks between Bank Indonesia and the Ministry of Finance; and (3) expanding macroprudential instruments to complement conventional monetary tools, strengthening national economic resilience to global shocks.

Abstract

The productivity paradox, the puzzle that intensive digital investment does not always translate into observable efficiency gains, remains an underexamined issue in emerging-market corporate practice. Background: While corporate annual reports of large Indonesian firms increasingly feature digital strategy language, it is unclear whether this narrative intensity coincides with measurable improvements in asset-based profitability. Purpose of the Study: This paper asks whether the intensity with which firms communicate their digital strategy in annual reports is reflected in Return on Assets (ROA) among Indonesia’s largest publicly listed companies. Methods: We develop a reproducible bilingual text-mining procedure to score the digital-strategy intensity (DGS) of annual reports from the 50 largest IDX-listed firms for the fiscal years 2019 through 2024, generating a strongly balanced firm-year panel of 300 observations. The DGS is normalized by document length to control for narrative volume. We estimate firm-and-year fixed-effects panel regressions of ROA on DGS with firm-clustered robust standard errors, and we conduct sensitivity analyses based on one-year lags, pandemic versus post-pandemic sub-periods, and leave-one-control-out perturbations. Results: The within-firm association between DGS and ROA is statistically indistinguishable from zero. The point estimate is small and directionally negative, consistent with the productivity-paradox conjecture that short-run adjustment costs of digital initiatives may temporarily depress asset productivity before any payoff appears. Leverage emerges as the only consistent within-firm predictor of ROA, and the 2020 dummy captures a sharp pandemic-related profitability shock. Conclusions: Disclosure-based digital intensity should be read as a marker of strategic orientation, not as evidence of realized operational gains. The findings document an implementation gap between digital narrative and asset productivity in the Indonesian large-cap segment and supply a methodological foundation for subsequent studies that examine valuation effects and complementary-asset moderators.

Abstract

The development of basic social infrastructure, particularly subsidized housing and educational facilities, is a cornerstone of equitable development in Indonesia. Despite increased government spending in these areas, regional disparities in access and quality persist, raising questions about the efficiency of the construction sector as the primary implementing agent. This research aims to analyze the impact of the Indonesian Construction Sector Performance on the availability of subsidized housing and the construction of schools. The research employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis. The sample covers 20 provinces in Indonesia over the period 2018 to 2024, with data sourced from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and relevant ministries. The results of the panel data regression indicate that the performance of the construction sector has a significant and positive effect on both the availability of subsidized housing and the development of school infrastructure. This finding suggests that improvements in construction sector performance reflected in increased output, productivity, and value-added directly translate into greater physical realization of essential social infrastructure. Provinces with stronger construction sector performance are better positioned to fulfill their targets for subsidized housing provision and the construction of new educational facilities. The research underscores the strategic role of the construction industry as a key enabler in achieving national social development goals and highlights the need for sustained policies to bolster the sector's capacity and reach.
