Abstract

Plastic waste remains a critical environmental challenge, prompting the Indonesian government to implement various plastic bag restriction policies. However, regulations alone are insufficient without behavioral changes driven by individuals and their social environments. This study aimed to analyze the influence of environmental knowledge, consumer habits, and subjective norms on pro-environmental behavior intention and to examine the moderating role of attitude toward plastic bans in these relationships. A quantitative approach was employed involving respondents who were modern retail consumers in urban Indonesia and had been exposed to plastic restriction policies. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicated that environmental knowledge had a positive and significant effect on pro-environmental behavior intention. Consumer habits also exerted a positive and significant influence. Subjective norms emerged as the most dominant factor, demonstrating the highest t-statistic value. Conversely, attitude toward plastic bans did not have a significant direct effect on pro-environmental behavior intention. Moderation analysis revealed that attitude toward plastic bans significantly moderated the effects of consumer habits and subjective norms on pro-environmental behavior intention but did not moderate the effect of environmental knowledge. The R² value of 0.864 indicated that 86.4% of the variance in pro-environmental behavior intention was explained by all variables included in the model. This study extended the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) by integrating a public policy-based moderating variable, providing practical implications for designing more effective plastic reduction policies in Indonesia.

Abstract

Employee job satisfaction plays a crucial role in enhancing organizational performance, particularly within public service institutions that operate under demanding workloads, continuous organizational changes, and complex service responsibilities. Employees of BPJS Kesehatan are expected to sustain high performance while coping with various work-related challenges that may influence their psychological well-being. This study investigates the effects of mental health and work-life balance on job satisfaction, with psychological capital serving as a mediating variable among employees of BPJS Kesehatan Branch Offices in Jakarta. A quantitative research approach with a cross-sectional design was adopted. The study involved 231 respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling from the employee population. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The findings indicate that both mental health and work-life balance exert positive and significant effects on employee job satisfaction. In addition, these two variables significantly enhance psychological capital, which in turn positively influences job satisfaction. The mediation analysis further demonstrates that psychological capital significantly mediates the relationships between mental health, work-life balance, and job satisfaction. These results emphasize the importance of fostering optimism, hope, self-efficacy, and resilience as key psychological resources to improve employee satisfaction. The findings also offer practical insights for BPJS Kesehatan in designing human resource strategies that promote employee well-being and support sustainable organizational performance.

Abstract

Civil servants have increasingly gained opportunities to engage in entrepreneurial activities; however, the actual level of entrepreneurial participation remains relatively low. This condition indicates that regulatory opportunities alone are insufficient to encourage entrepreneurial interest, as psychological and cognitive factors may play important roles in shaping entrepreneurial intentions. This study aims to examine the effects of income expectations, entrepreneurial knowledge, and entrepreneurial mindset on entrepreneurial interest while analyzing the mediating role of entrepreneurial self-efficacy among KPK civil servants in the 2025 cohort. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 133 respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The results showed that income expectations, entrepreneurial knowledge, and entrepreneurial mindset significantly and positively affected self-efficacy. Furthermore, self-efficacy had a significant positive effect on entrepreneurial interest. Income expectations and entrepreneurial knowledge also directly influenced entrepreneurial interest, whereas entrepreneurial mindset did not have a direct significant effect. However, self-efficacy fully mediated the relationship between entrepreneurial mindset and entrepreneurial interest, demonstrating that mindset influences entrepreneurial intention through increased confidence in entrepreneurial capabilities. The study concludes that strengthening self-efficacy, particularly through entrepreneurial mindset development, is essential to encourage entrepreneurial interest among civil servants within a high-integrity institutional environment.

Abstract

Generation Z has become an increasingly important component of the workforce, yet many young employees experience challenges related to job satisfaction, leadership expectations, and workplace adaptation. In the property industry, which is characterized by dynamic market conditions and high work demands, understanding the factors that influence Generation Z employees’ job satisfaction is essential. This study aims to examine the effect of leadership style and employee engagement on Generation Z job satisfaction, with employee resilience as a mediating variable in the property industry in Jakarta. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 240 Generation Z employees working in property companies in Jakarta. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that leadership style and employee engagement have a positive and significant effect on employee resilience. Furthermore, leadership style, employee engagement, and employee resilience significantly influence job satisfaction. Employee resilience has the strongest direct effect on job satisfaction and significantly mediates the relationship between leadership style and employee engagement toward job satisfaction. These findings highlight that psychological resilience plays a crucial role in strengthening employees’ ability to adapt and maintain satisfaction in demanding work environments. Therefore, organizations should develop supportive leadership practices and strengthen employee engagement programs to enhance resilience and job satisfaction among Generation Z employees.

Abstract

Nurses’ job satisfaction is a crucial factor influencing healthcare service quality, employee retention, and organizational performance. However, nurses frequently experience high workloads, shift-related pressures, emotional demands, and occupational stress, which may reduce their professional satisfaction. This study aimed to examine the effects of resilience and social support on nurses’ job satisfaction by analyzing the mediating roles of sleep quality and mental support at YARSI Hospital, Central Jakarta. This research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 160 nurses selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0 to evaluate the direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The results showed that resilience and social support had significant positive effects on job satisfaction, sleep quality, and mental support. Mental support significantly mediated the relationships between resilience and social support and job satisfaction, whereas sleep quality did not significantly mediate these relationships. The findings indicate that psychological and social mechanisms played a more dominant role than physiological recovery factors in determining nurses’ job satisfaction. This study concludes that strengthening resilience, social support systems, and workplace mental support programs is essential for improving nurses’ occupational well-being and job satisfaction. The findings provide practical implications for hospital management in developing effective human resource strategies to enhance nurses’ psychological well-being and workplace satisfaction.

Abstract

The coal mining sector in Indonesia faces increasing pressure to balance operational productivity with global sustainability standards, encompassing economic, social, and environmental dimensions. One critical issue requiring strategic intervention is the management of Hazardous and Toxic Waste (B3), particularly the accumulation of used oil generated from heavy equipment maintenance activities. In response to this challenge, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) has implemented a circular economy program through its On-Site Plant and Waste Oil Preparation Plant (OSP and WOPP), which converts used oil into a diesel fuel substitute for explosives. However, the success of this initiative depends largely on the organization’s ability to manage internal efficiency and supply chain connectivity to achieve optimal sustainable performance. This study aimed to examine the effects of Lean Manufacturing Practices and Supply Chain Integration on Sustainable Performance, with Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) as a mediating variable. Lean Manufacturing Practices were implemented to minimize waste in operational processes, while Supply Chain Integration strengthened coordination between internal functions and strategic partners. This synergy was expected to enhance GSCM implementation, increase economic value, minimize environmental impacts, and demonstrate how GSCM mediation connects operational practices with long-term corporate sustainability objectives. A quantitative approach was employed by distributing questionnaires to stakeholders involved in the used oil management supply chain at PTBA. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine the significance of relationships among the research variables. The findings are expected to provide a reference for the mining industry in developing integrated waste management strategies while contributing empirical evidence to the literature on green supply chain management in developing economies.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly being adopted as a strategic capability within the Indonesian telecommunications industry to support digital transformation, enhance operational efficiency, and achieve long-term sustainability performance amid intensifying competition. However, successful AI adoption is determined not only by technological readiness but also by organizational conditions, environmental pressures, and psychological assurances related to trust and data privacy. This study aims to examine the effects of the Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) framework, Trust in AI, and privacy assurance on organizational Intention to Adopt AI, as well as their subsequent influence on actual AI use behavior and corporate sustainability performance within the Indonesian telecommunications sector. A quantitative research approach was employed using survey data collected from 231 managerial and technical professionals across telecommunications firms. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4 software. The findings indicate that technological, organizational, and environmental readiness, together with trust and privacy assurance, have significant positive effects on Intention to Adopt AI. Furthermore, Intention to Adopt AI is found to be a strong predictor of actual AI use behavior, indicating that adoption intention translates into practical implementation rather than merely reflecting favorable attitudes. Consistent and integrated AI utilization subsequently contributes significantly to corporate sustainability performance, encompassing economic, operational, and environmental dimensions. These results suggest that the sustainability benefits of AI emerge when contextual readiness and psychological assurance jointly enable organizations to move beyond adoption intention toward sustained AI utilization. This study provides valuable insights for industry practitioners and policymakers in designing AI adoption strategies that support sustainable business performance in emerging telecommunications markets.
