Abstract

This research discusses the design and implementation of a web-based online queue system at the Kumaira canteen of Sultan Agung Islamic University to address long queues and inefficiencies in food ordering. Using the waterfall development method, this system is designed to allow customers to order food online, monitor stock availability, and make digital payments. The results indicate that this system enhances the canteen's operational efficiency, reduces customer waiting times, and simplifies transaction and stock management, ultimately providing a better experience for customers and improving staff productivity.

Abstract

Given the increasing threats to personal data managed by educational institutions, student data security has become a critical issue in the digital era. This study aims to examine how the implementation of blockchain technology in academic information systems can enhance data security. The study employs literature review, qualitative analysis of case studies from universities that have implemented blockchain, and triangulation for data validation. The results indicate that using blockchain significantly improves data security. The security score increased from 4 before implementation to 9 after implementation. Compared to traditional methods, the decentralization and encryption of blockchain systems make data more resistant to manipulation and forgery. According to this study, there is a need for legislation to support the use of blockchain in education. Additionally, further research is required on the scalability and cost-effectiveness of this technology in higher education institutions.

Abstract

This research focuses on designing an online queuing system architecture that is integrated with BPJS at Queen Latifa Hospital using Docker-based containerization technology. This system is designed to improve service efficiency by utilizing Proxmox as the main server infrastructure to support flexibility and scalability. With a Docker-based approach, each system component is packaged in an isolated container to ensure stability, efficiency, and cross-platform compatibility. The design process includes server architecture modeling, BPJS service integration, and queue data management in a systematic and structured manner. The design also supports automation in development and deployment through GitHub Actions-based CI/CD, which aims to minimize errors in system updates. In addition, aspects of data security, service availability, and efficient use of resources are the main factors in technology selection and system configuration. The system is designed to optimize patient queue management, reduce waiting time, and improve the quality of hospital services. With the containerization approach, the system can be easily adapted to user needs and future technological developments. This design is the basis for developing a system that is more scalable, flexible, and can be applied to various healthcare environments with maximum efficiency.

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) technology has brought innovation to various fields, including agriculture and plantations. One of the main challenges in plant cultivation is maintaining consistent irrigation to ensure that plants receive an optimal amount of water. Improper watering can lead to either water deficiency or excess, negatively impacting plant growth and productivity. An IoT-based automatic irrigation system is designed to address this issue by utilizing soil moisture, temperature, and humidity sensors to accurately determine the water needs of plants. The data collected by the sensors is processed by a microcontroller, which then automatically controls the water pump. Additionally, users can monitor and manage irrigation through a smartphone application, allowing for more efficient and flexible watering. With the implementation of this system, it is expected that productivity and efficiency in plant management, both at the household and commercial farming levels, can be significantly improved.

Abstract

3D printing technology has revolutionized the way objects are designed and manufactured. One of the 3D printing methods is Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM). In the FDM process, thermoplastic filament is melted and extruded through a nozzle to build objects. An important aspect of FDM 3D printing is the use of support structures. Supports are necessary to support object parts that have overhangs or other complex geometries. There are two types of support structures, namely normal supports and tree supports. The selection of support type can affect printing time, material usage, and print quality. Slicer programs also play an important role in determining support parameters. This research aims to compare printing time and material usage on normal and tree support parameters with variations in slicer programs (Cura and Creality Slicer). This research uses a comparative experimental method. The independent variables in this research are support type (normal and tree), and the slicer programs used (Cura version 5.9 and Creality Slicer 6.0). The dependent variables in this research are printing time and material usage. In terms of print time, Creality software has a consistent print time, both for normal support and tree support. By comparing all parameters, Cura parameters with tree support can be selected, because it has the least material consumption, and a relatively short print time. The differences in time duration and material usage in 3D printing between different slicers are caused by the way each slicer processes 3D models and generates G-code for the printer. Each slicer uses different algorithms to calculate the extrusion path (toolpath) that the printer will follow. This affects the printing time and the amount of material used.

Abstract

The development of technology has brought significant changes in the world of education, one of which is through the use of multimedia as a learning tool. Multimedia, which includes text, images, audio, video, and animation, is able to increase the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process by presenting material in a more interactive and interesting way. This journal discusses various aspects of multimedia utilization in education, ranging from the types of multimedia, the benefits obtained, to the challenges in its application. Using the literature study method, this journal highlights the importance of multimedia integration in modern learning to create a more effective and innovative learning experience.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of heat treatment on the hardness level of ST 37 steel material used in the press cage component, particularly after quenching using two different cooling media: seawater and SAE 40 oil. The press cage is a crucial component in screw press machines that operates under high pressure and requires optimal mechanical strength, including sufficient material hardness. The research method involved heating the specimens at 850°C for 30 minutes, followed by quenching using each of the cooling media. Hardness testing was conducted using the Rockwell method at five test points on each specimen. The results showed that the untreated specimen had an average hardness value of 72.3 HRC. After heat treatment and quenching, hardness significantly increased, with an average value of 93.8 HRC for specimens cooled in seawater and 84.3 HRC for those cooled in SAE 40 oil. The highest hardness was achieved using seawater due to its rapid cooling rate, which promotes the formation of martensitic structures. In contrast, quenching with SAE 40 oil produced lower hardness results because of its slower heat dissipation process. These findings indicate that the type of cooling medium has a significant impact on the mechanical properties of the material after heat treatment.
