Abstract

Agifa Roti is one of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) engaged in the food industry, located in Warungboto, Umbulharjo District, Yogyakarta City, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The products produced are in the form of basic ingredients for sweet bread, in the production process it is still traditional without using the help of machines only during the baking process using a gas-fueled oven and mixer to make dough. facing waste constraints in the sweet bread production process, especially in waiting activities (31.07%) and transportation (8.90%). This waste is caused by the less than optimal layout of facilities, with a distance of movement between work stations reaching 810.99 cm. This study aims to identify waste, reduce waste, and increase production efficiency through the application of the Lean Manufacturing method with the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) approach including the calculation of Material Handling Costs (OMH) to assess cost efficiency. Research methods related to cycle time, lead time, changeover time, and facility layout. Based on the research results, it shows that the application of the Lean Manufacturing method with the VSM approach is able to reduce the distance of movement between work stations by 29.2%, production cycle time by 61.2%, and material handling costs significantly, thereby increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and providing real benefits for the productivity and competitiveness of Roti Agifa MSMEs and similar MSMEs.

Abstract

Abstract. Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is a critical component of the workforce system to protect workers from workplace accidents and occupational diseases. PT XYZ faces high risks due to field activities, making the implementation of an OHS management system based on HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control) an effective solution to prevent accidents. The plate tank fabrication process identifies 23 potential hazards from five activities, including crane lifting, welding, and grinding, which pose risks such as fires, injuries, and health issues. Risk analysis results reveal high to moderate risks. After mitigation, the risks were reduced to low to moderate categories. Mitigation efforts include worker training, regular inspections of work equipment, and improving ventilation in work areas. Risk control measures are systematically applied following the OHSAS 18001 hierarchy, including hazard elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Abstract

This research focuses on proper raw material inventory control and minimum cost control at PT XYZ. From observation data in 2023, it is known that there is an overstock of copper slag material of 50,160 tonnes, and there is a stockout of gypsum material of 44,403 tonnes and clay of 73,574 tonnes. This research aims to determine appropriate raw material inventory control to identify problems and provide alternative suggestions. The factor that causes stockouts and overstocks in storage is the non-optimal supply of raw materials, such as gypsum material, from February to April there was no material ordering activity. This research uses the Material Requirement Planning method with Lot For Lot and Fixed Order Quantity lotting techniques. Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded that the gypsum and copper slag materials using the LFL lotting technique produced minimum costs compared to using the FOQ lotting technique, with a difference in the total cost of the gypsum material of IDR. 402,329,503.8 and the difference in the total cost of copper slag material is Rp. 779.1363.022.5. In contrast to clay materials, the FOQ lotting technique produces minimum costs compared to using the LFL lotting technique with a difference in total clay material costs of IDR. 384,902,040. The right solution for controlling raw material inventory at PT XYZ is to use the MRP data processing method and the Lot For Lot lotting technique with a large percentage of gypsum of 1.48%, and copper slag of 8.17%.

Abstract

The rice supply chain process starts with farmers who harvest rice and sell it to Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) through Bank BJB and Bank Banten based on a price agreement. The rice is then processed in the Rice Milling Unit (RMU) to become ready-to-process rice, before being sent to the warehouse receipt as a guarantee of economic value. From the warehouse receipt, rice is sent to the distribution center which functions as a stock buffer and price determiner, then distributed to consumers. The distribution problem is less than optimal and rice is often sold outside the region, then back to regional distributors, causing an imbalance between food needs and availability. This research aims to illuminate supply chain management in distribution centers and the facilities used in the process. To reduce distribution costs, the transportation method uses the Vogel Approximation Method (VAM) and MODI is used to find the minimum distribution costs. The research results show that the minimum distribution costs in 2017 were IDR 1,024,557,000,000, in 2018 IDR 1,024,107,000,000, 2019 IDR 1,020,428,000,000, 2020 IDR 1,089,830,000,000, and 2021 amounting to IDR 1,111,159,000,000.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design the implementation of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique based on perturb and observe (P&O) algorithm. The solar panel system is designed from one solar panel connected to a dc-dc buck-boost converter and resistor. The P&O algorithm is implemented as a duty cycle control of the dc-dc buck-boost converter to regulate and track the maximum power point of the solar panel. The system was tested under three different irradiation conditions including 1000 W/m2, 700 W/m2, and 500 W/m2. The test results show that the P&O algorithm successfully tracks and maintains power in the maximum power point (MPP) area with an accuracy of 98% but there are still oscillations in the MPP area due to the ongoing algorithm process.

Abstract

This study describes the relationship between motivation and student learning discipline towards learning outcomes in the lathe subject. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between motivation and learning discipline towards learning outcomes in the lathe subject of class XI students of Mechanical Engineering at SMK Dhuafa Padang. Hypothesis testing in this study used a simple correlation test and multiple product moment correlation to determine the relationship between motivation and learning discipline variables with learning outcomes in the Lathe Subject. This study was conducted at SMK Dhuafa Padang, and the subjects were class XI students of Mechanical Engineering with a sample size of 21 students. The results of the research data analysis showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and learning discipline together towards learning outcomes in the Lathe Subject of Class XI Mechanical Engineering at SMK Dhuafa Padang. This is evidenced by the research data that rhitung> rtable, which is 0.535> 0.413 at a significance level of 5%. By recognizing the important relationship between learning motivation and academic achievement, educational institutions and educators can implement more efficient strategies to enhance students' enthusiasm for learning in order to achieve optimal learning achievement in mechanical engineering lessons.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the user experience of the Online Registration application of Umar Wirahadikusumah Sumedang Hospital using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method. The evaluation was carried out on six aspects, namely attractiveness, clarity, efficiency, accuracy, stimulation and novelty, involving 30 application user respondents. The results showed that the Online Registration application of Umar Wirahadikusumah Sumedang Hospital received a Bad score on the Attractiveness aspect with a mean value of 0.42, the Clarity aspect received a Bad score with a mean value of 0.43, the Efficiency aspect received a Bad score with a mean value of 0.44, the Dependability aspect received a Bad score with a mean value of 0.48, the Stimulation aspect received a Bad score with a mean value of 0.35, and the Novelty aspect received a Below Average score with a mean value of 0.20. The results show that the application still needs to require improvements in various aspects to improve the quality of the user experience. Some recommendations that can be considered to provide better services include improving the interface that attracts user attention, simplifying the application flow, optimizing application performance so that it can be used efficiently, and adding some more innovative features.

Abstract

The digitalization of public services is a priority for local governments to enhance efficiency and transparency. Sumedang Regency has developed the Online Regional Tax Application System (SIAPDOL) to facilitate tax administration. However, SIAPDOL faces significant information security challenges, including data breaches and cyberattacks. This study evaluates SIAPDOL’s security level using the Information Security Index (KAMI) 5.0, which refers to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standards. The research methodology includes interviews and literature reviews. The results indicate that SIAPDOL has a "Fairly Good" maturity level with a total score of 918, although aspects such as risk management, asset management, and security governance require improvement. Recommendations include developing comprehensive security policies, strengthening risk management procedures, and implementing advanced security technologies. This study contributes academically by providing insights into security evaluations of digital tax systems, while also offering practical recommendations for local governments to enhance the security and reliability of public digital services. Future research can explore AI-driven security solutions, comparative studies with other regions, and the impact of security measures on public trust.

Abstract

This research emphasizes the use of Amazon QuickSight as a data visualization tool to analyze and generate recommendations based on traffic accident data. The case study was conducted on crash data in New York City for 2022, with a focus on identifying crash patterns and key causal factors. This research uses a methodology consisting of understanding business problems, data cleaning and processing, data analysis & insight gathering, and data visualization. The dataset analyzed includes 100,280 accident records, with variables such as ID, borough, street, contributing factors, vehicle type, date, person injured, person killed, pedestrians injured, pedestrians killed, cyclists injured, cyclists killed, motorists injured, motorists killed. Analysis results using Amazon QuickSight revealed significant accident patterns, such as a concentration of incidents in certain areas during peak hours. Recommendations include optimizing road design, improving traffic monitoring, and driver education to improve safety. This research shows the potential of Amazon QuickSight in supporting data-driven decision making for traffic policy and crash prevention measures in urban environments.

Abstract

The Sumedang Regency Communication and Informatics, Coding and Statistics Service is a government agency that utilizes information technology to support its operational activities. This research examines how security risks are managed for information technology assets in the Department. The risk management approach used in this research refers to ISO 31000:2018. The main objective of this research is to evaluate the extent to which the implementation of the ISO 31000:2018 standard is effective in protecting IT assets and minimizing risks that could disrupt smooth operations. The methodology used includes identification, analysis, evaluation and risk management. The identification results show that there are 14 potential risks, consisting of 7 low level risks, 3 medium level risks, and 4 high level risks. Risks in the high category require more attention, especially those related to power outages, which are recommended to be overcome by installing an automatic generator.
