Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the influence of religiosity on repurchase intention of non-halal-certified cosmetics, with trust as a mediating variable. Data were collected from Indonesian Muslim women who actively use such cosmetic products. The study employed a quantitative method and analyzed the data using the PLS-SEM approach. The findings reveal that religiosity does not directly affect repurchase intention, but it significantly influences trust. Moreover, trust significantly affects repurchase intention and mediates the relationship between religiosity and repurchase behavior. These results emphasize that while religious values are important, trust in the producer is a crucial determinant in repeated purchase decisions. This study contributes theoretically to Islamic value-based marketing and offers practical implications for non-halal cosmetic producers to enhance consumer trust through transparency and ethical product practices.

Abstract

21-23 Garden is an MSME engaged in the buying and selling of plants, primarily indoor plants, and uses a website as an online sales tool. To maintain service quality, particularly on the 21-23 Garden website, a usability analysis is necessary. The Post Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ) and Usability Metric for User Experience (UMUX) methods are used to measure usability. The PSSUQ method evaluates usability by grouping four categories: system usefulness, information quality, interface quality, and overall satisfaction. The UMUX method targets usability by assessing effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. The PSSUQ analysis revealed complaints related to the speed of the shopping process, the completeness of product information, and the quality of the interface. The UMUX method, on the other hand, showed very positive results, with a UMUX score of 83.3, categorized as Very Good. These results indicate that the 21-23 website has good usability, but there are still challenges with the quality of the interface and the speed of the shopping process

Abstract

Companies, as business entities, are required to sustain strong financial performance in order to enhance firm value while maintaining long-term business continuity. Profitability serves a critical function as an indicator of a firm’s capacity to generate earnings, which subsequently shapes investor perceptions, influences stock prices, and determines market valuation. This study aims to provide a comprehensive examination of profitability as a primary determinant in the creation of firm value. The research employs a narrative literature review approach, synthesizing evidence from eight peer-reviewed articles published between 2015 and 2025 that are directly relevant to the topic. The findings demonstrate that profitability is strongly associated with firm value enhancement, both directly through profit generation and indirectly through improved access to financing, strengthened market reputation, and increased capacity for business expansion. High profitability not only fosters investor confidence but also consolidates a firm’s strategic position within competitive markets. In contrast, low profitability can diminish firm value by eroding investor trust and weakening stock attractiveness. The implications of this review underscore the importance of adopting consistent and measurable profitability management strategies as a central instrument to support the sustainable creation of firm value.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the passport application patterns at the Immigration Office and forecast the number of applications for the coming years using the Exponential Smoothing (Holt-Winters) model. The data used includes the number of passport applications from 2022 to 2024. The analysis shows a significant increase in applications in the coming years, with predictions for 2025, 2026, and 2027 indicating a consistent growth pattern. While the model demonstrates good accuracy, the Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) calculations indicate overestimation for the 2024 forecast. The application of the Holt-Winters model in forecasting passport applications in the Immigration field is a novel contribution to the literature, as this method is rarely used in this context. The model provides a systematic quantitative approach to predict long-term trends in application data, which is crucial for more efficient service capacity planning. The implications of these findings suggest that, although the model can predict a consistent growth pattern, the overestimation in 2024 highlights the need for model adjustment in the future. Therefore, increasing service capacity through additional staff and optimizing the digital queuing system are strategic steps that should be implemented to handle the projected surge in applications. These measures are essential to ensure efficient service and the Immigration Office's preparedness for the ongoing rise in applications.

Abstract

The process of determining students’ majors in vocational high schools plays a crucial role in shaping their academic development and future career readiness. However, manual decision-making often leads to inaccuracies due to subjective judgments and limited data analysis. This study aims to develop a more accurate and objective major classification model by integrating the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The dataset consists of 292 student records, including academic scores in Mathematics, Indonesian Language, English, and Science, as well as interest questionnaire results. Initial testing using SVM produced an accuracy of 79.76%, indicating that the model’s parameters were not yet optimal. PSO was then applied to optimize the key parameters C and Gamma, resulting in a significant improvement in model performance. The optimized SVM–PSO model achieved an accuracy of 97.20%, with a precision of 96.33%, recall of 95.22%, and an F1-score of 95.77%. These results demonstrate the capability of PSO to enhance SVM’s pattern-recognition performance and address class imbalance issues, particularly for minority majors. Overall, the integration of SVM and PSO is proven to be effective as a Decision Support System, providing schools with accurate, data-driven recommendations for student major placement.

Abstract

The development of information technology, particularly in e-commerce, is increasingly expanding into various sectors of education, economics, and business. In Ambon City, the Kudamati sub-district is one of the villages selling Tanimbar woven cloth, produced by housewives. Woven cloth sales are still conducted manually, requiring consumers to visit the location to complete the buying and selling process. Promotion still relies on lectures, and the lack of a marketing strategy hinders the broader reach and development of Tanimbar woven cloth's potential, particularly in terms of technology utilization. This research aims to design and build a web-based e-commerce information system using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. This system expands market reach, increases sales, simplifies ordering, and enhances productivity. The data processing process involves requirements planning, system design, development, and implementation. The system was developed using PHP and MySQL. Test results indicate that the system can support digital marketing of woven cloth, simplify consumer ordering, improve market access, and enhance the efficiency of Tanimbar woven cloth promotion.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the consumptive behavior of Generation Z within the context of digital security awareness and its implications for the digital economy in Indonesia. Using a literature review methodology, this research collects and analyzes theories from various supporting academic articles. The findings indicate that digital security awareness plays a crucial role in shaping more responsible and sustainable consumption behaviors in digital spaces. Additionally, the convenience offered by digital transactions must be accompanied by improved digital literacy and a stronger understanding of data privacy. These factors are essential in strengthening trust and ensuring the sustainability of the digital economy ecosystem among Generation Z. This study contributes a new perspective by integrating the dimensions of consumptive behavior and digital security into the analysis of young people's economic behavior in the era of digital transformation. It is the first study to simultaneously integrate three dimensions consumptive behavior, cybersecurity awareness, and the digital economy within the Indonesian Gen Z context. In Indonesia, the rapid rise of digital transactions has not been fully matched by improvements in digital security literacy. This gap creates a paradox in which fast digital economic growth coexists with increasing potential security vulnerabilities.

Abstract

Instagram is a widely used visual-based social media platform that serves as an effective medium for digital promotion due to its strong emphasis on imagery and concise communication. In the realm of visual content design, text size functions as a critical typographic element that influences audience attention, message clarity, and overall visual appeal. This study adopts the Design Thinking methodology, consisting of observation, interviews, and design testing stages, to examine how text size affects the attractiveness and communicative strength of promotional content. The findings demonstrate that larger text sizes significantly improve visual focus, enhance readability, and increase user engagement with the presented promotional material. Furthermore, the use of proportional and well-structured text sizes strengthens visual hierarchy, thereby enabling viewers to identify key messages more efficiently. These results underscore that determining an appropriate text size is not merely an aesthetic choice but a strategic component of effective digital promotional design on Instagram. The study highlights the importance of integrating typographic considerations into broader communication strategies to achieve visually compelling, informative, and impactful promotional outputs. It is expected that these insights will contribute to the development of more user-centered and visually optimized digital promotional designs across various creative and marketing practices.

Abstract

This study investigates the multi-layered digital divide among university students in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), a region characterized by significant geographical and socioeconomic disparities. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach involving surveys and interviews across various NTT universities, the research examines the digital divide across three levels: Access (Level 1), Skills (Level 2), and Outcome (Level 3). The findings reveal that the primary Level 1 barrier is not device ownership, but rather the poor reliability and high cost of internet access, which is largely dictated by uneven geographical infrastructure distribution. At Level 2, students demonstrate high proficiency in basic operational skills (e.g., office software) but exhibit significant weaknesses in higher-order digital literacy, particularly in digital security, information credibility assessment, and strategic academic usage. Crucially, the Level 3 gap is defined by a significant disparity in outcome, where the aspiration for using technology for productivity and self-development ranks highest, yet the actual capacity for advanced strategic functions remains the lowest, underscoring a fundamental gap between awareness and practical empowerment. This study confirms that the digital divide in NTT is a shift from access to strategic capability, demanding targeted policy interventions focused on network equity and advanced digital literacy training.
