<![CDATA[The librarian professional organization has an important role in carrying out the profession as a librarian. Librarians are basically tasked with managing the library properly and providing the best service for library visitors. This study aims to find out how the role of librarian professional organizations in improving the qualifications and competence of librarians. This study used a descriptive qualitative research method by presenting data related to research results in the form of words regarding the role of librarian professional organizations. The data collection technique used in this study was library research, namely collecting research data through extracting references based on literature studies obtained from books, articles, theses, and data that supports research. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that librarian professional organizations have a significant role in improving the quality of librarians. The role is to establish good cooperation with related parties that can help improve library performance.]]>

<![CDATA[Media sosial merupakan salah satu dari perkembangan internet. Jenis media sosial yang biasa digunakan adalah Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, dan Instagram. Instagram merupakan aplikasi sosial yang terkenal dalam kalangan pengguna smartphone. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan media sosial Instagram oleh Mahasiswa Ilmu Perpustakaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan jumlah sampel 150 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswi mendominasi penggunaan Instagram dengan persentase 74% atau sejumlah 111 mahasiswa, pengguna instagram angkatan 2020 mendominasi penggunaan Instagram dengan persentase 59%, semua pengguna instagram memiliki akun instagram dengan persentase 100%, mayoritas penggunaan berdurasi kurang dari atau sama dengan satu jam perhari, penggunaan Instagram didorong oleh beberapa kebutuhan dengan beberapa tujuan dan alasan, salah satunya yaitu dengan adanya hiburan dan fitur yang mendukung untuk berbagi momen, selain Instagram mahasiswa menggunakan beberapa media sosial lain diantaranya Facebook, Tiktok dan Twitter.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract This study aims to find out how the Literacy Movement Program at SMKN 2 Boyolangu works. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by interviewing the literacy coordinator and class X and XI students who were still participating in the School Literacy Movement Program by making observations related to the School Literacy Movement Program and carrying out supporting documentation. Data analysis techniques with data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The School Literacy Movement Program at SMKN 2 Boyolangu is a collaboration with external parties Nyalanesia and Pesona Edu, Literacy Competition Invitations by AYRIS, Literacy Programs every month, Competitions in language month and Literacy Saung. Of the several programs implemented, the results have not been optimal in terms of fostering interest in reading among students and educators.Keywords: Literacy, School Literacy Movement, SMKN 2 Boyolangu.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Program Gerakan Literasi di SMKN 2 Boyolangu. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan Kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara koordinator literasi dan siswa kelas X dan XI yang masih mengikuti Program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah dengan melakukan observasi terkait Program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah dan melakukan dokumentasi sebagai pendukung. Teknik analisis data dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah di SMKN 2 Boyolangu adalah kerjasama dengan pihak eksternal Nyalanesia dan Pesona Edu, Undangan Kompetisi Literasi oleh AYRIS, Program Literasi setiap bulan, Kompetisi di bulan bahasa serta Saung Literasi. Dari beberapa program yang di terapkan tersebut, hasilnya belum maksimal dalam hal menumbuhkan minat baca dikalangan siswa maupun tenaga pendidik. <![CDATA[This research is an open source system and utilization for libraries with the aim of providing information and the use of information technology systems, of course also getting great benefits from the application of open source systems in libraries, so that with this presence it will be effective in carrying out systems in libraries. In research using a qualitative approach and descriptive method to provide an explanation and present the research data that has been analyzed. As for the technical data collection in this study is descriptive then perform processing with analytical techniques which will be formulated in the form of words not numbers. The results of this study indicate that Open source is an open source code, where there is freedom in using it, either to study, add, subtract, modify or re-revise. Everything can be done without having to pay royalties to the previous creator, but is free in the sense that he is responsible by not eliminating the copyright of the creator.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh kualitas layanan perpustakaan digital terhadap minat baca. Analisis menggunakan variabel bebas (Kualitas Layanan Perpustakaan Digital) dan variabel terikat (Minat Baca). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling. Penelitian ini berlokasi di perpustakaan PEMKO Medan, Jalan Iskandar Muda. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner langsung kepada responden dan pengunjung sebanyak 30 kuesioner. Metode statistik yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda, dengan pengujian hipotesis uji-t statistik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara kualitas layanan perpustakaan digital terhadap minat baca siswa di Perpustakaan Daerah Kota Medan (Layanan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan berdasarkan nilai signifikansi bahwa dengan uji parsial nilai signifikansi t sebesar 0,001 < dari 0,05 nilai ini menunjukkan nilai t lebih kecil dari nilai signifikansi 0,05.]]>

<![CDATA[Censhorship and prohibition of books should be done in the library so that it can provide information of an educational nature and have value relevant to the needs of librarians. The study aims to analyze the prohibition and sensing activities of library materials in the National Library of Proclamator Bung Hatta Bukittinggi. The type of research used in this research is qualitative with descriptive analysis. Sampling techniques use purposive sampling with specific criteria to answer research problems. Primary data sources are obtained from the procurement head, librarians, and library publishers. The data collection methods that the researchers use are observations, interviews, and documentation. Then the data analysis, i.e., data reduction, after submitting the subsequent conclusion drawings to disaggregate the results of the research A data validity test using source triangulation aims to check the validity of the data, whether or not it is valid from the source. The results show that the Prolamator Bung Hatta National Library has carried out book censorship activities based on UUD 1945 Alenia 4, Act No. 4 of 1990 on the surrender of printed and recorded works, and Law No. 43 of 2007 on libraries. The three rules of law—these invitations are consistent with each other. In connection with the prohibition of the books, the authorities were not authorized to prohibit public access to the books but to restrict the age and purpose of the readers in order not to misuse the information.]]>

<![CDATA[The main problem in this thesis is how the attitude of librarians in serving users is based on the librarian's code of ethics at the Padang Panjang City Public Library. The purpose of this research is to describe the attitude of librarians about Asta Ethics of librarians in providing services to users at the Padang Panjang City Public Library, as well as to describe the perceptions of users of the services provided by librarians at the Padang Panjang City Public Library. Asta ethics are guidelines for librarians to behave and act in accordance with the regulated code of ethics. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques start from data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Guarantee the validity of the data in this study using source triangulation. The results of the study show that the attitude of librarians regarding basic ethics in the Padang Panjang Public Library as a whole, all librarians have understood the meaning of basic ethics in general. Asta ethics is important as a rule that must be obeyed and used as a guide in carrying out duties in a professional manner. Asta librarian ethics are eight codes of ethics for librarians in providing library services to the community. The librarian's code of ethics is a moral requirement that librarians should follow and comply with. The role of asta ethics for librarians in providing services to users is very important. As for the user's perception of the attitude of librarians in providing services, librarians have not fully been able to apply ethical standards, as there are still some librarians who show an unfriendly attitude in serving users, speak in a high tone so as to disturb the peace of the user and the lack of librarians in applying thanks to users , even though this is something that is very easy to say to someone. Then the efforts made by the library for the attitude of librarians who are not well received by users are by evaluating performance and improving the quality of its human resources. Suggestions from researchers for librarians at the Padang Panjang City Public Library are that librarians are expected to increase their understanding of librarian ethics and increase their role according to ethical standards in providing services to users.]]>

<![CDATA[Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah pemanfaatan mahasiswa pada koleksi local content skripsi yang relatif tinggi dikarenakan mahasiswa sangat membutuhkan pedoman dalam pembuatan skripsi dan tugas akhir dengan cara melihat dan merujuk pada skripsi yang tersedia di Perpustakaan UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar di masa pra pendemi dan new normal. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pemanfaaatan koleksi local content skripsi oleh mahasiswa tingkat akhir masa pandemi Covid-19 dan era new normal di Perpustakaan UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar serta kendala dan upaya dalam pemanfaatan koleksi local content skripsi. Jenis penelitian studi komparasi dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, diketahui bahwa pemanfaatan koleksi local content sangat berdampak dalam kegiatan penelitian mahasiswa yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi atau tugas akhir. Adapun perbandingan pemanfaaatan koleksi local content dapat di lihat dari segi berikut, a) secara umum kebutuhan informasi saat masa pandemi Covid-19 dan new normal mahasiswa tahap akhir tetap tinggi, dengan masih banyaknya pemustaka yang mencoba untuk memanfaatkan koleksi local content secara langsung melalui kegiatan membaca, mencatat dan menduplikasi koleksi-koleksi tersebut. Akan tetapi, penutupan layanan perpustakaan dan mengalihankan ke layanan daring. Sedangkan new normal, pemustaka sudah dapat mengakses informasi secara langsung ke perpustakaan. b) Motif, dimasa pandemi dan new normal tindakan/ motif mahasiswa tahap akhir dalam mencari informasi hampir sama. c) Minat, dilihat dari kunjungan, mahasiswa tahap akhir memiliki kecenderungan yang kuat dalam pemanfataan koleksi local content skripsi akan tetapi dimasa pandemi terjadi penutupan layanan. Sedangkan di era new normal antusias kunjungan meningkat serta perbedaan kebutuhan informasi yang dibutuhkan dengan koleksi yang ada di perpustakaan. Diharapkan perpustakaan lantai dua ruangan karya ilmiah atau local content agar shelving koleksi skripsi lebih rapi dan menyesuaikan koleksi skripsi sesuai fakultas, menambah jumlah dan variasi koleksi digital local content dan sarana penelusurannya]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract The main problem in this thesis is to find out the procedures for implementing library promotion and what results the library gets after carrying out library promotion through media competitions at the Payakumbuh Public Library. The purpose of this study is to find out the competition activities held by the Payakumbuh City Public Library and how the Payakumbuh City Public Library seeks existing constraints to carry out competition activitie This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews with librarians, employees and users at the Payakumbuh City Public Library, and documentation. Data analysis techniques start from data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Guaranteeing the validity of the data in this study uses source triangulation.Based on the results of the research, (1) the Public Library of Payakumbuh City conducts competition activities to support library promotion activities and attract the public to come to the library, routine activities are held every year, namely story telling competitions and poetry reading competitions. (2) after carrying out the competition activities the results obtained by the Payakumbuh City Public Library were that the community knew about the existence of the library so that it increased interest in visiting the community to come to the library, increasing the literacy of the community around the library. (3) the constraints faced by the library, namely in terms of inadequate human resources, funds (budget) that are not in accordance with the expected plan to carry out activities so that the Payakumbuh City Public Library reduces the quota of participants who take part in competitions, and inadequate library facilities so that efforts carried out by the library involving all employees of the Payakumbuh Public Library, as well as in terms of facilities the Payakumbuh Public Library rented tents and stages for performances ]]>

<![CDATA[This research develops three main issues, namely how is the interior design condition in the Solok Regency Public Library, what is the comfort level of the users in the Solok Regency Public Library, is there any influence of the interior design of the library on the comfort level of the users in the Solok Regency Public Library. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the relationship between library interior design and the comfort level of users, the interior design includes layout, lighting, and temperature, with partial and simultaneous research. The type of research that researchers use is the type of associative research or relationship (influence) using a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at the Solok District Public Library. The population used in this study were users who visited the Solok District Public Library using the incidental sampling technique. The number of samples taken by the researchers totaled 87 samples. Data collection using questionnaires and questionnaires. Validity test, reliability test and product moment correlation test using IMB SPSS v20 program. The results of the study can be concluded that the r value of 0.667 is categorized as moderate and positive, meaning that there is a relationship between the interior design of the library and the comfort level of users and the results of the simple regression equation, Y = 79.415 + 0.659X. The two levels of influence between variable X and variable Y are 44%. So this can be interpreted that 56% of interior design is influenced by factors other than user comfort. With a regression coefficient b = 0.667 indicating the magnitude of the addition of the user's comfort level for interior design assessment. The results of hypothesis testing are done by t test with an error of 5%, then t table = 1.262 is obtained. If t count = 2.529 > t table = 1.262, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which shows that there is an influence of interior design on the comfort of users in the public library of Solok Regency.]]>
