Abstract

Pokok permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah strategi pustakawan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan intelektual siswa di perpustakaan SMAN 1 Kecamatan Guguak dan keterbatasan yang dihadapi oleh pustakawan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan intelektual siswa dan yang menjadi permasalahan penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan intelektual siswa di Perpustakaan SMAN 1 Kecamatan Guguak Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan intelektual siswa, untuk mengetahui strategi pustakawan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan intelektual siswa dan untuk mengetahui kendala yang dihadapi pustakawan dalam meningkatkan kemmapuan intelektual siswa. Jenis penelitian ini dilakukan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, sehingga data yang diperoleh dari informan penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik snowball sampling dengan informan 1 orang kepala perpustakaan sebagai informan utama, 1 informan pustakawan bidang pengelola, 1informan pustakawan bidang administrasi dan 1 informan pustakawan bidang layanan sirkulasi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder, untuk teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan langkah-langkah teknik penyajian data, reduksi data, penampilan data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kemudian diuraikan serta melakukan klasifikasi terhadap aspek masalah dan memaparkan melalui kalimat yang efektif.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi pustakawan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan intelektual siswa di perpustakaan SMAN 1 Kecamatan Guguak sudah baik. Adapun strategi-strategi yang dilakukan oleh pustakawan di SMAN 1 Kecamatan Guguak seperti meningkatkan pengembangan diri terhadap minat baca siswa, menumbuhkan minat baca, siswa harus meningkatkan ilmu pengetahuannya dengan banyak membaca dan memfilter perkembangan zaman yang diikuti. Dan adapun kendala dalam yang dihadapi penambahan bahan-bahan koleksi perpustakaan, penambahan pustakawan, sistem masih manual, penambahan anggaran untuk perpustakaan dan peningkatan fasilitas perpustakaan.Kata Kunci : Strategi, Pustakawan, Kemampuan Intelektual, Perpustakaan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the library spatial planning system at SMPN 1 Sungai Tarab works. The layout of the school library is the arrangement or arrangement of all school library facilities in the available space or building. Where by paying attention to the library spatial arrangement system in the school the writer was able to find out how much interest is in reading at SMPN 1 Sungai Tarab where interest in reading is a potential to read voluntarily.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what is being done by the Payakumbuh City Library in developing a library automation system. Data collection is done using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results obtained that the Payakumbuh City Regional Library has carried out services in the form of empathy, vigilance, responsiveness, reliability, and certainty, the results show that there are several problems and deficiencies faced by the Payakumbuh City Library in providing services to the community. Lack of human resources that can hamper library services to the community, physical building facilities such as adequate library buildings. In the use of library automation systems, it is still not implemented in the library. It can be concluded that the community in response to library automation services in the Payakumbuh City area in both categories. Suggestions given for the top priority that must be made are the circulation of library web -based services more optimized and professional in providing services to the community.

Abstract

The librarian professional organization has an important role in carrying out the profession as a librarian. Librarians are basically tasked with managing the library properly and providing the best service for library visitors. This study aims to find out how the role of librarian professional organizations in improving the qualifications and competence of librarians. This study used a descriptive qualitative research method by presenting data related to research results in the form of words regarding the role of librarian professional organizations. The data collection technique used in this study was library research, namely collecting research data through extracting references based on literature studies obtained from books, articles, theses, and data that supports research. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that librarian professional organizations have a significant role in improving the quality of librarians. The role is to establish good cooperation with related parties that can help improve library performance.

Abstract

Media sosial merupakan salah satu dari perkembangan internet. Jenis media sosial yang biasa digunakan adalah Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, dan Instagram. Instagram merupakan aplikasi sosial yang terkenal dalam kalangan pengguna smartphone. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan media sosial Instagram oleh Mahasiswa Ilmu Perpustakaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan jumlah sampel 150 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswi mendominasi penggunaan Instagram dengan persentase 74% atau sejumlah 111 mahasiswa, pengguna instagram angkatan 2020 mendominasi penggunaan Instagram dengan persentase 59%, semua pengguna instagram memiliki akun instagram dengan persentase 100%, mayoritas penggunaan berdurasi kurang dari atau sama dengan satu jam perhari, penggunaan Instagram didorong oleh beberapa kebutuhan dengan beberapa tujuan dan  alasan, salah satunya yaitu dengan adanya hiburan dan fitur yang mendukung untuk berbagi momen, selain Instagram mahasiswa menggunakan beberapa media sosial lain diantaranya Facebook, Tiktok dan Twitter.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to find out how the Literacy Movement Program at SMKN 2 Boyolangu works. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by interviewing the literacy coordinator and class X and XI students who were still participating in the School Literacy Movement Program by making observations related to the School Literacy Movement Program and carrying out supporting documentation. Data analysis techniques with data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The School Literacy Movement Program at SMKN 2 Boyolangu is a collaboration with external parties Nyalanesia and Pesona Edu, Literacy Competition Invitations by AYRIS, Literacy Programs every month, Competitions in language month and Literacy Saung. Of the several programs implemented, the results have not been optimal in terms of fostering interest in reading among students and educators.Keywords: Literacy, School Literacy Movement, SMKN 2 Boyolangu.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Program Gerakan Literasi di SMKN 2 Boyolangu. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan Kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara koordinator literasi dan siswa kelas X dan XI yang masih mengikuti Program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah dengan melakukan observasi terkait Program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah dan melakukan dokumentasi sebagai pendukung. Teknik analisis data dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah di SMKN 2 Boyolangu adalah kerjasama dengan pihak eksternal Nyalanesia dan Pesona Edu, Undangan Kompetisi Literasi oleh AYRIS, Program Literasi setiap bulan, Kompetisi di bulan bahasa serta Saung Literasi. Dari beberapa program yang di terapkan tersebut, hasilnya belum maksimal dalam hal menumbuhkan minat baca dikalangan siswa maupun tenaga pendidik. Kata kunci:  Literasi, Gerakan Literasi Sekolah, SMKN 2 Boyolangu

Abstract

This research is an open source system and utilization for libraries with the aim of providing information and the use of information technology systems, of course also getting great benefits from the application of open source systems in libraries, so that with this presence it will be effective in carrying out systems in libraries. In research using a qualitative approach and descriptive method to provide an explanation and present the research data that has been analyzed. As for the technical data collection in this study is descriptive then perform processing with analytical techniques which will be formulated in the form of words not numbers. The results of this study indicate that Open source is an open source code, where there is freedom in using it, either to study, add, subtract, modify or re-revise. Everything can be done without having to pay royalties to the previous creator, but is free in the sense that he is responsible by not eliminating the copyright of the creator.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh kualitas layanan perpustakaan digital terhadap minat baca. Analisis menggunakan variabel bebas (Kualitas Layanan Perpustakaan Digital) dan variabel terikat (Minat Baca). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling. Penelitian ini berlokasi di perpustakaan PEMKO Medan, Jalan Iskandar Muda. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner langsung kepada responden dan pengunjung sebanyak 30 kuesioner. Metode statistik yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda, dengan pengujian hipotesis uji-t statistik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara kualitas layanan perpustakaan digital terhadap minat baca siswa di Perpustakaan Daerah Kota Medan (Layanan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan berdasarkan nilai signifikansi bahwa dengan uji parsial nilai signifikansi t sebesar 0,001 < dari 0,05 nilai ini menunjukkan nilai t lebih kecil dari nilai signifikansi 0,05.

Abstract

Censhorship and prohibition of books should be done in the library so that it can provide information of an educational nature and have value relevant to the needs of librarians. The study aims to analyze the prohibition and sensing activities of library materials in the National Library of Proclamator Bung Hatta Bukittinggi. The type of research used in this research is qualitative with descriptive analysis. Sampling techniques use purposive sampling with specific criteria to answer research problems. Primary data sources are obtained from the procurement head, librarians, and library publishers. The data collection methods that the researchers use are observations, interviews, and documentation. Then the data analysis, i.e., data reduction, after submitting the subsequent conclusion drawings to disaggregate the results of the research A data validity test using source triangulation aims to check the validity of the data, whether or not it is valid from the source. The results show that the Prolamator Bung Hatta National Library has carried out book censorship activities based on UUD 1945 Alenia 4, Act No. 4 of 1990 on the surrender of printed and recorded works, and Law No. 43 of 2007 on libraries. The three rules of law—these invitations are consistent with each other. In connection with the prohibition of the books, the authorities were not authorized to prohibit public access to the books but to restrict the age and purpose of the readers in order not to misuse the information.

Abstract

The main problem in this thesis is how the attitude of librarians in serving users is based on the librarian's code of ethics at the Padang Panjang City Public Library. The purpose of this research is to describe the attitude of librarians about Asta Ethics of librarians in providing services to users at the Padang Panjang City Public Library, as well as to describe the perceptions of users of the services provided by librarians at the Padang Panjang City Public Library. Asta ethics are guidelines for librarians to behave and act in accordance with the regulated code of ethics. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques start from data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Guarantee the validity of the data in this study using source triangulation. The results of the study show that the attitude of librarians regarding basic ethics in the Padang Panjang Public Library as a whole, all librarians have understood the meaning of basic ethics in general. Asta ethics is important as a rule that must be obeyed and used as a guide in carrying out duties in a professional manner. Asta librarian ethics are eight codes of ethics for librarians in providing library services to the community. The librarian's code of ethics is a moral requirement that librarians should follow and comply with. The role of asta ethics for librarians in providing services to users is very important. As for the user's perception of the attitude of librarians in providing services, librarians have not fully been able to apply ethical standards, as there are still some librarians who show an unfriendly attitude in serving users, speak in a high tone so as to disturb the peace of the user and the lack of librarians in applying thanks to users , even though this is something that is very easy to say to someone. Then the efforts made by the library for the attitude of librarians who are not well received by users are by evaluating performance and improving the quality of its human resources. Suggestions from researchers for librarians at the Padang Panjang City Public Library are that librarians are expected to increase their understanding of librarian ethics and increase their role according to ethical standards in providing services to users.
