Research is an important component of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which in practice can be implemented by carrying out research and publishing the results in scientific journals or other scientific forums. The large number of studies conducted by lecturers, students, teachers, practitioners, and other stakeholders requires the media to communicate ideas and thoughts on the results of these studies. Through scientific publications, research results can be communicated to the public and benefits can be taken, especially for development in the fields of economics, education, law, and engineering. Based on these considerations, the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Primagraha University created a scientific journal under the name Primagraha Journal as a medium for the publication of research results on theory and application practices which are expected to have an impact on society more broadly. The Primagraha journal contains research results related to scientific development in the fields of economics, education, law, and engineering. The Primagraha Journal is intended for researchers, practitioners, experts, and research observers from research institutions, both internally and externally according to relevant fields of knowledge as a form of intellectual property

Abstract

Since learning and "teaching" are everyone's problems, it is clear that it is necessary and important to explain and formulate these learning problems, especially for professional educators so that we can pursue them more efficiently and as effectively as possible. Whether or not a teacher's task implementation develops is largely determined by the teacher's ability to plan learning activities before teaching and the process of implementing learning. However, in daily reality, there are still teachers who are unable or do not have the skills to plan teaching and learning activities, as well as the implementation of learning, there are even teachers who are not prepared in teaching. To obtain clearer information about the alleged problems above, this study aims to examine teacher competence in carrying out teaching and learning activities at SMP Negeri 3 Serang City, with the implementation of Academic Supervision Work by the Principal through Work Performance Assessment to Increase Teacher Work Motivation in SMP Negeri 3 Serang City, Banten Province
