Abstract

The account @kpopchartofficial began gaining public attention on Instagram in 2012 and started operating on TikTok around 2020, along with the increasing consumption of Korean popular culture content through short-video-based social media platforms. The account currently has more than 2.2 million followers, follows approximately 435 accounts, and has gained over 175 million likes. This study aims to analyze cultural hybridity in the messages of the Korean Wave phenomenon on the TikTok account @kpopchartofficial, examine the role of the account as a third space facilitating the hybridization process between Korean culture and Indonesian local culture, and explore how users interpret and negotiate the mixture of Korean and Indonesian local cultures within the messages shared on the account. This study employed a qualitative approach using Christine Hine’s ethnography for internet method. The data collection techniques included observation, documentation, literature study, and interviews. The data were analyzed qualitatively and interpretatively based on the ethnography for internet approach proposed by Christine Hine. The theories applied in this research include cultural hybridity theory, social construction theory, and symbolic interactionism theory. The findings reveal that cultural hybridity in the messages of the Korean Wave phenomenon on TikTok occurs through content adaptation, localization of meaning, and active audience participation. The forms of cultural hybridity identified include integrative, negotiative, and agonistic hybridity, reflecting the dynamic interaction between global and local cultures. The TikTok account @kpopchartofficial functions as a digital cultural space that mediates this process, where audiences actively interpret and negotiate meanings. Therefore, the Korean Wave on TikTok is not merely consumed, but also reconstructed by audiences within their local cultural context.

Abstract

The majority of residents in Pangulah Utara Village have not yet optimally utilized the web-based village service information system. The primary obstacle is a limitation in human resources—particularly among the 40-to-60 age group—who still struggle with using the internet. This study aims to examine the web-based Village Information System (SID) in Pangulah Utara Village, Karawang Regency; to assess the effectiveness of public services utilizing the Population Administration Information System in the village; and to determine the impact of the web-based Village Information System on public service effectiveness in the area. The study employs a quantitative survey method, utilizing questionnaires to collect data from a sample of 500 individuals. Data analysis techniques include instrument testing (validity and reliability), normality testing, correlation analysis, and hypothesis testing (simple linear regression and coefficient of determination analysis). The results of the simple linear regression analysis regarding the web-based Information System and public services in Pangulah Utara Village—based on data from 84 participants across five indicators (information availability, ease of use, access speed, system security, and interactive features/online services)—indicate a high level of performance, falling within the 3.40–4.19 interval range with a mean score of 4.07. Similarly, the effectiveness of public services in Pangulah Utara Village—assessed via 84 participants across four indicators (service satisfaction, process efficiency, accessibility and fairness, and transparency and accountability)—also falls into the high-performance category, situated within the 3.40–4.19 interval range with a mean score of 4.04. Regarding the influence of the web-based Village Information System on public services in Pangulah Utara Village, it is concluded that the system has a significant impact on service effectiveness, accounting for 96.8% of the effect, while the remainder is attributed to other factors not included in this study.

Abstract

Jakarta's rapid growth as an urban tourism hub has coincided with its quiet integration into the global "pink tourism" network, a market segment oriented toward LGBTQ+ travelers. Yet this integration unfolds inside a society still governed by strong heteronormative and religious norms, creating a persistent tension between economic openness and social exclusion. This study examines how public perception, social norms, and mechanisms of social control shape the lived experience of transpuan (trans women) who are visible participants in Jakarta's entertainment and tourism spaces. Using a qualitative descriptive design and data triangulation across in-depth interviews with five purposively selected informants, literature review, and documentary analysis, the study applies the interactive analysis model of data condensation, display, and conclusion drawing. Findings show that stigma toward transpuan operates in a layered and sector-specific manner: tourism-industry actors tend to accept transpuan on economic and functional grounds, while the wider community extends only conditional tolerance rooted in religious and moral narratives, and state institutions maintain formally non-discriminatory administrative access while tolerating informal, identity-based enforcement. Read through a Queer Criminology lens, these patterns reveal a form of symbolic criminalization in which transpuan identity itself, rather than any proven unlawful act, becomes sufficient grounds for surveillance, restriction, and exclusion. The study also documents transpuan agency and resilience through advocacy, digital adaptation, and participation in the tourism economy. The research contributes to Indonesian criminology by repositioning transpuan as legitimate subjects of analysis and offers practical implications for inclusive tourism policy in Jakarta.

Abstract

This study examines how highly educated Generation Z women in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, South Kalimantan, Indonesia, use affective communication as a form of everyday feminist practice. Drawing on a qualitative phenomenological design informed by feminist methodology, in-depth interviews were conducted with five key informants and four supporting informants selected purposively. Data were analyzed thematically through transcription, reduction, coding, textural description, interpretation, and researcher reflexivity, and validated through method and source triangulation. The findings show that within a strongly patriarchal and Banjar cultural context that values politeness, religiosity, and social harmony, educated women rarely resist gender inequality through open confrontation. Instead, they rely on empathetic, warm, and relationally sensitive communication to voice disagreement, negotiate identity, and claim recognition without threatening social harmony. Six major patterns emerged: persistent gender stereotyping of educated women, negotiation between traditional and modern values, strategies for voicing the self, the critical function of higher education, symbolic power relations in communication, and ambivalent societal perceptions of educated women. These patterns are explained through Feminist Standpoint Theory, which frames women's lived experience as a legitimate epistemic standpoint, and Affection Exchange Theory, which frames affection as an adaptive relational strategy. The study concludes that affective communication functions as a subtle but meaningful form of everyday feminism, allowing women to defend their dignity and pursue equality while remaining embedded in local cultural norms.

Abstract

Climate change has increased the urgency of strengthening greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation policies in energy systems. In Indonesia, the electricity generation subsector is strategically important because it remains closely linked to fossil fuel use while also becoming a central arena of national energy transition policy. This study aims to develop a system dynamics model for simulating the effect of carbon policy on GHG emissions in Indonesia's electricity generation subsector, evaluating the effectiveness of existing carbon policy pathways, and formulating policy directions based on scenario results and policy lessons from selected countries. The study applies a quantitative system dynamics approach using Causal Loop Diagram and Stock and Flow Diagram modelling in Vensim. The model represents interactions among demographic drivers, electricity demand, fossil and renewable generation capacity, fossil fuel consumption, carbon policy variables, and GHG emissions. Three scenarios were simulated: a baseline scenario, a 2030 medium-term target scenario, and a 2060 Net Zero Emission scenario. Model validation using MAPE indicated acceptable historical fit for population and power-generation emission variables. The results show that the baseline follows a high-emission pathway under weak policy pressure. The 2030 scenario reduces emissions to 196.42 MtCO2, below the 250 MtCO2 target. However, the 2060 scenario still leaves 127 MtCO2e of residual emissions, indicating that the Net Zero target is not fully achieved. The findings suggest that carbon policy is effective in the medium term but requires stronger integration with coal phase-down, renewable expansion, MRV, enforcement, and transition finance for long-term mitigation.

Abstract

Phenomena/issues: Office administration is a rapidly growing field and many studies have been conducted related to this field. However, research that discusses the analysis of publications related to this field has not been carried out so that analysis is needed to bibliometric create more targeted research in the future. Objectives: This study aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the development of research office administrationand to provide clearer direction for future research. Novelty: This research adds an in-depth understanding of the publications to be made in the field of office administration that has not been done in analysisprevious . bibliometric Research Methods: This study uses analysis bibliometric using the Scopus database as the main data source which is then analyzed based on the year of publication, related fields of science, country of publication, and author of publication. The data was then processed using VOSviewer which was analyzed using two visualizations, namely visualization network and density visualization. Results: The results of this study show that there is a significant growth each year in publications on office administration. The United States is the highest country that publishes related research. Keywords that appear in the field of office administration range from medicine to social sciences. The terms that appear are related to other terms with a smaller number of publications. Research Contribution: this research provides a real contribution for researchers who will examine the field of office administration both from the country of the publisher, author, keywords or related terms, to the relationship between these terms to create higher quality research.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Tabalong Siaga application as a health emergency response information system in Tabalong Regency using the Human-Organization-Technology Fit (HOT-Fit) approach. The main problem is the absence of citizen emergency reports submitted through the application during the September 2025 to February 2026 period, despite the launch of PSC 119 Tabalong Smart on August 30, 2025, 503 application downloads, and 244 reports received through non-application channels. This study applies an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design involving 150 citizen respondents, 60 personnel/operator respondents, and 12 interview informants during March to May 2026. The simulated draft data analysis indicates that 38.7% of citizens had heard of the application, 11.3% had downloaded it, 4.7% had opened it, and 0% had used it to submit an emergency report. WhatsApp preference scored the highest among citizens (mean 4.31), while usage barriers were also high (mean 3.96). Among personnel/operators, system quality was rated relatively adequate (mean 3.44), but system use (mean 2.47) and organizational support (mean 2.64) remained low. Triangulation suggests that non-use is mainly associated with low awareness, strong WhatsApp preference, weak operational SOP enforcement, uneven training, and the absence of mandatory integrated recording. The main recommendations include strengthening SOPs, integrating WhatsApp gateway with the application dashboard, community-based dissemination, recurring training, and monitoring application usage indicators.

Abstract

Butterworth is one of the main equipment in the tank cleaning process on tankers that plays a role in maintaining tank cleanliness before the next loading. Damage to the Butterworth can cause the tank cleaning process to be suboptimal, thus disrupting the smooth operation of the ship. This study aims to determine efforts to minimize potential damage to the Butterworth and identify obstacles that often occur during the tank cleaning process at MT. Bro Combo. The study used a qualitative method with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study population included all Butterworth maintenance activities and the tank cleaning process, while the sample was determined purposively, namely officers and crew directly involved in these activities. The research instrument was the researcher with data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that efforts to prevent damage were carried out through checking the condition of the equipment, checking the nozzle and connections, proper installation, and routine maintenance after use. Obstacles found included unstable water pressure, nozzle wear, suboptimal Butterworth rotation, and imprecise installation. This study concluded that consistent inspection, regular maintenance, precise installation, and water pressure control are the main factors in minimizing Butterworth damage and optimizing the tank cleaning process.

Abstract

Ludwigia octovalvis is a tropical aquatic weed with potential as a medicinal plant due to its diverse secondary metabolite content. This study aimed to quantify the secondary metabolite profile of aqueous extracts of Ludwigia octovalvis leaves and evaluate their potential as natural antibacterial agents. Leaves were collected from wetlands in Tungkaran Village, Martapura, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan, and extracted using distilled water at a ratio of 1:4. Quantitative phytochemical analysis was performed in triplicate for saponins, alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, tannins, steroids, anthocyanins, and phenolics. Ludwigia octovalvis leaf extract contains secondary metabolite compounds, namely saponins (15.587%), alkaloids (6.507), flavonoids (91.667 mg/g), terpenoids (228.467 mg/g), tannins (0.850 mg/g), steroids (39.177 mg/g), anthocyanins (negative), and phenolics (65.467 mg/g). The highest levels of secondary metabolites are found in terpenoid compounds, namely 228.467 mg/g and the lowest in negative anthocyanin compounds. These secondary metabolite compounds have the potential as antibacterials against Aeromonas hydrophila bacteria.

Abstract

Thermal comfort is essential for the human body to function effectively (at home, school, or in the workplace). A building's thermal performance is one of the primary factors determining the occupant's thermal comfort level. OTTV is an indicator of the building envelope's thermal performance. OTTV (Overall Thermal Transfer Value) is a measure of how much heat from outside the building enters the room through the building envelope (walls, glass, windows, and roof). This value is used to assess the building's thermal performance and energy efficiency. In Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, OTTV performance is measured using formulas established by each country. This study aims to compare three methods for assessing heat transfer through the building envelope in the case of the same office building facade: Singapore's Envelope Thermal Transfer Value (ETTV), Malaysia's Overall Thermal Transfer Value (OTTV), and Indonesia's Overall Thermal Transfer Value (OTTV). These three methods historically originate from the same building regulatory framework, namely ASHRAE Standard 90A-1980 and the ASEAN-USAID/Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory energy conservation program, which were then adapted nationally by each country. A quantitative descriptive method with a comparative approach is applied to measure the Overall Thermal Transfer Value (OTTV) Performance, so that the measurements can be converted to applicable regulations. This case study clearly shows that with the same facade geometry and forming materials, different OTTV/ETTV index values are produced in the three countries with the same compliance result of Not Met. However, these results cannot be compared directly. The dominant heat gain component is solar radiation through fenestration. The implication is that practical design optimization needs to prioritize WWR control, glass thermal performance, and external shading design. Improvements in the U-value of the solid wall and the absorptivity of the solid wall are still beneficial, but in this case it is still less of a priority than solar heat control through fenestration.
