Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning models in laboratories and simulators in practical learning of the Ship Machinery Study Program on the quality of learning at the Malahayati Maritime Polytechnic. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach supported by qualitative data. The research subjects consisted of 50 cadets, 2 lecturers teaching the Construction and Working Principles of Refrigerator Auxiliary Machinery course, and the Head of the Ship Machinery Study Program as informants. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews, then analyzed using frequency distribution and percentages. The results showed that the use of laboratories and simulators helped cadets understand auxiliary machinery systems on board ships, increased engagement in practical learning, and made the learning process more interesting. E-learning was also considered useful as a supporting medium because it facilitated the delivery of materials and communication between lecturers and cadets. However, this study found several obstacles, such as suboptimal laboratory and simulator features, unstable internet networks, limited free internet access, and less than optimal support for laboratory space and computer simulators. In addition, e-learning cannot replace direct practical learning because ship machinery competency requires real-life experience in laboratories and simulators. Thus, the most appropriate learning model is the integration between e-learning, laboratories, and simulators to support the quality of practical learning more effectively.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are the abilities students acquire after learning activities.Evidence that someone has learned is a change in behavior in that person, for example from not knowing to knowing and from not understanding to understanding. The learning process in class IV SDN Segeran IV is still less active, so that students are less enthusiastic about learning, many students are busy chatting with their friends and some even play around so that it causes a lack of focus on learning and the material is not conveyed completely to all students, this condition causes low student grades in Indonesian subjects. Based on these problems, researchers made an effort to improve the learning process through the application of the Problem Solving method. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether the use of the problem solving method can improve the learning outcomes of Indonesian subjects for class IV students of SDN Segeran IV. The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement in learning outcomes by using the Problem Solving method. The purpose of this study is to improve the Indonesian language learning process for class IV students of SDN Segeran IV in the 2026/2027 Academic Year. The study uses the PTK model with the application of the problem solving method in improving the learning outcomes of Indonesian subjects for class IV students of SDN Segeran IV Indramayu in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. Data collection was carried out by observing student activities and test sheets to determine the improvement in student learning outcomes. From the results of the analysis that has been done, it is known that the problem solving learning method can improve student learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subject at SDN Segeran IV. This can be seen from the percentage of post-test results, there was an increase of 25% from cycle I with results of 70% and cycle II 95%. So it can be concluded that using the Problem Solving method can improve learning outcomes in the Indonesian language learning process for fourth-grade students at SDN Segeran IV Indramayu in the 2025/2026 Academic Year.

Abstract

Public service is one of the primary functions of village government, which plays a role in meeting the administrative and service needs of the community. However, the quality of public services at the village level still faces various challenges, particularly related to the capacity gap of village officials in carrying out their duties and functions. This study aims to examine the capacity gap of village officials in providing public services and its impact on public satisfaction through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The research data were obtained from 10 relevant scientific articles published in the period 2018–2025. The analysis process was carried out descriptively and qualitatively by identifying, grouping, and synthesizing the main findings from various studies related to the capacity of village officials, the quality of public services, and public satisfaction. The results of the study indicate that the capacity of village officials still faces various limitations in the aspects of knowledge, skills, competencies, education levels, utilization of information technology, and professionalism in providing services. This capacity gap impacts the quality of public services, particularly in aspects of speed, accuracy, effectiveness, and responsiveness of services. In addition, good quality public services have been shown to contribute to increasing public satisfaction, while less than optimal services tend to decrease the level of public satisfaction with the village government. Therefore, enhancing the capacity of village officials through education, ongoing training, competency building, and digitalization of services is a crucial strategy for improving the quality of public services and public satisfaction. This research contributes to enriching the study of village official capacity and provides a basis for consideration by the government in formulating human resource development policies at the village level.

Abstract

Effective transport of drilled cuttings out of the wellbore is a key requirement for maintaining drilling performance, since poor hole cleaning can trigger operational problems such as pipe sticking and inefficient circulation. This research examines how Poly Anionic Cellulose Low Viscosity (PAC LV) affects the cuttings-carrying performance of KCl Polymer water-based drilling mud. Two mud samples containing different PAC LV dosages were formulated and tested to obtain their density, plastic viscosity, yield point, gel strength, mud cake thickness, and filtration behavior. These rheological results were then applied to three engineering indicators, namely the Cutting Carrying Index (CCI), Cutting Transport Ratio (CTR), and Cutting Concentration in Annulus (CCA), to quantify cuttings transport performance. The findings show that raising the PAC LV dosage strengthens the mud's rheological profile, reflected in higher density, plastic viscosity, yield point, and gel strength, without compromising filtration quality. Both formulations produced CCI values above 1, CTR values exceeding 50%, and CCA values under 5%, confirming adequate cuttings-carrying capability and satisfactory hole-cleaning performance. Overall, the study confirms that PAC LV-treated KCl Polymer mud can deliver consistent rheological behavior and reliable cuttings removal under the tested conditions, contributing to safer and more efficient drilling operations.

Abstract

Modernization of land services is an important part of bureaucratic reform in improving the quality of public services that are faster, more transparent, and digital-based. This study aims to analyze the level of community interest and performance on the implementation of the seven priority services of the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), determine the strategic position of services using Importance–Performance Analysis (IPA), and identify factors that affect community satisfaction through multiple linear regression. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data was collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive analysis, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), IPA, and multiple linear regression. The results of the study showed that the average level of interest was 4.32 and the performance level was 3.89 in the good category. The CSI value of 77.80% shows that the community is in the satisfied category. The IPA analysis shows that transparency, speed of service, and professionalism of officers are in the quadrant of maintaining achievements, while the use of digital technology is the top priority for improvement. The regression results showed that the variables of transparency, speed, professionalism, and technology had a significant effect on public satisfaction with an R² value of 0.728. This study concludes that the implementation of ATR/BPN priority services has gone quite well, but it still needs improvements in digitalization and ease of procedures to achieve optimal services.

Abstract

This study designed and implemented an Internet of Things (IoT)-based telemetry system to monitor electrical parameters in a solar power plant (SPP) installation equipped with a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controller. The system was developed using an ESP32 microcontroller connected to an EPever MPPT controller via RS485-based Modbus RTU communication, which then transmits data in real-time over a WiFi network to the ThingSpeak cloud platform for storage, visualization, and remote monitoring. The research method used was descriptive-experimental, covering hardware and software design, communication testing, and operational data acquisition. The observed parameters included input voltage, input current, output voltage, output current, discharge voltage, and discharge current. Test results over the time range of 10:10–17:00—comprising seven sample points with non-uniform intervals—showed a maximum input voltage of 18.35 V with a current of 0.66 A at 13:00, reflecting optimal irradiation conditions, a maximum output voltage of 12.27 V, and relatively stable discharge parameters within a voltage range of 12.64–14.45 V and a current range of 0.05–0.19 A, serving as an indicator of the MPPT controller’s power regulation effectiveness. Analysis of the ThingSpeak graph confirmed that the input voltage pattern followed the daily irradiance curve, the dynamic response of the output voltage to irradiance fluctuations, and the identification of transient anomalies requiring further confirmation with an irradiance sensor. These findings indicate that the ESP32- and ThingSpeak-based telemetry system is suitable for use as an effective and economical PV system monitoring solution, with recommendations for further research including continuous data acquisition at fixed intervals, the addition of a pyranometer, and comparative validation with reference measurement instruments.

Abstract

Fire safety on board ships depends on the availability of portable fire extinguishers (APAR) as the initial means of extinguishing. This study aims to analyze the suitability of the use and maintenance of APAR and identify factors that influence its implementation on the MV. Tanto Berkat. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The study population was all officers responsible for fire safety on board, while the sample was determined purposively, namely the Chief Officer, Second Officer, and Third Officer. The research instruments included semi-structured interview guidelines, observation sheets, and documentation. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study indicate that the use and maintenance of APAR have been carried out according to safety procedures through periodic inspections, fire drills, and maintenance records. However, some foam-type APARs were still found to be less easily accessible, periodic testing documentation was not optimal, and cleaning was inconsistent in several periods. In conclusion, the APAR use and maintenance system has met most of the SOLAS requirements, but improvements in documentation, accessibility, and maintenance supervision are still needed to improve preparedness for fire emergencies.

Abstract

The coastal area of Kutawaru, Cilacap, holds considerable potential in fisheries, mangrove ecosystems, agriculture, and waste management, yet remains constrained by a dominant linear economy, low commodity value-added, and weak community institutions. This study examines the implementation of the CSR program by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Integrated Terminal (IT) Cilacap through the SEGARA KUTAWARU model (Sustainable Economy through Green Agro-Maritime Resources and Circular Approach-Kutawaru) as an effort to transform the coastal area's economy toward a circular paradigm. The program was designed based on social mapping and participatory planning with the community, resulting in four integrated sub-programs: PEPES SEGA K-CAP (coastal economic empowerment and fishing tourism), SIMANJA (mangrove conservation, educational tourism, and fishery-based SMEs), MASKUMAMBANG (integrated agriculture supported by irrigation infrastructure), and BAPAKU (community-based waste bank). Findings indicate that the integration of these four sub-programs forms a mutually reinforcing circular economic ecosystem, transforming waste into economic resources, diversifying community income, and simultaneously strengthening coastal ecosystem conservation. The SEGARA KUTAWARU model is assessed as an effective integrative framework for CSR-based coastal community empowerment and holds strong potential for replication in other coastal areas with similar characteristics.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the world's megabiodiversity countries, possessing a rich diversity of herbal plants that play an important role in traditional medicine and biodiversity conservation. However, the identification of herbal plant species remains challenging for the public due to similarities in leaf morphology, increasing the risk of misidentification and inappropriate utilization. This study aims to develop a web-based identification system for Indonesian herbal plants using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to facilitate accurate and accessible species recognition. The system employs the MobileNetV2 architecture to classify herbal plants based on leaf images and provides an interactive web interface for users. Experimental results showed that the proposed model achieved a training accuracy of 96.30% and a validation accuracy of 95.75%. Performance evaluation using 50 independent leaf images yielded an identification accuracy of 89.24%, with 47 images correctly classified. These findings indicate that the proposed system is capable of supporting reliable herbal plant identification and can serve as a can serve as a practical digital tool for supporting biodiversity monitoring, medicinal plant documentation, public education, and the sustainable utilization of Indonesia's medicinal plant resources.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the vulnerability and social resilience of the Krueng Geukueh Village community, Dewantara District, North Aceh Regency, in facing flood disasters. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document study. The results showed that the community faced high social vulnerability due to the location of houses in lowlands near rivers, the income of residents who are mostly traders with limited incomes, and limited access to information related to flood warnings. The severity of the flood in November 2025 was exacerbated by river overflows from Sawang District, which submerged residents' homes and public facilities such as PIM Hospital up to the roof. Nevertheless, the community demonstrated strong social resilience through mutual cooperation, social networks, adaptation strategies such as small boats and river monitoring, and coordination with village officials. Solidarity and cooperation among residents helped mitigate the impact of flooding, protect residents, and accelerate recovery. This study confirms that social vulnerability and social resilience are interconnected, where resilience emerges as a community response to the flood risks they face. These findings can serve as a reference for village governments and related parties to improve early warning systems, emergency response training, infrastructure improvements, and economic support for residents to strengthen community resilience to flooding.
