Abstract

This study aimed to develop an Augmented Reality (AR)-based flashcard learning media for the Human Digestive System topic for eighth-grade students at SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang and to evaluate its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The participants included one material expert, two media experts, six students in the small-group trial, and 31 students in the field implementation. Data were collected through validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and learning achievement tests in the form of pretests and posttests. The results indicated that the media achieved a validity score of 93.33% from the material expert and an average of 92.86% from the media experts, both categorized as highly valid. The practicality score reached 97.56%, categorized as highly practical. The effectiveness was demonstrated by an increase in the average score from 65.16 to 88.58 and an N-Gain value of 0.71 (high category). Therefore, the AR-based flashcard media is valid, practical, and effective in improving students' conceptual understanding.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of social media interfaces has reshaped how users consume digital information, and interface complexity is known to affect both ease of use and the mental effort users must invest. This study examines the level of usability and cognitive load of the Threads interface and the relationship between the two constructs, using a quantitative descriptive-correlational approach. An online questionnaire was distributed to 200 students of Universitas Bhinneka PGRI Tulungagung selected through purposive sampling. Usability was measured with the System Usability Scale (SUS) and cognitive load with the NASA Task Load Index (NASA-TLX); data were processed in IBM SPSS. All instruments were valid and reliable, with Cronbach's Alpha values of 0.728 (SUS) and 0.786 (NASA-TLX). The mean SUS score was 70.0875, placing Threads in the "Good" category, while the mean NASA-TLX score of 58.83 indicated a moderate level of cognitive load. A Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.474 (p = 0.000) and a simple linear regression equation of Y = 0.735 + 0.521X, with an R Square of 0.225, showed that usability contributed 22.5% to cognitive load. The findings indicate that Threads is reasonably user-friendly but still imposes a moderate cognitive burden on its users, and that this burden rises together with—rather than in opposition to—perceived usability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of audio-visual media on the listening skills of third-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Segeran Indramayu. The background of the study shows that students' listening skills are still low due to conventional learning, where teachers only read stories without the support of interesting media. The study involved 20 students with a pre-test and post-test design. The research method used in this study is experimental research. The pre-test results showed scores in the range of 30%–80% with an average of 53.5%, where 65% of students were included in the sufficient and low categories. After the use of audio-visual media, the post-test scores increased significantly with a range of 70%–100% and an average of 89.0%, and all students (100%) reached the skilled category. The distribution of post-test scores shows that 40% of students are in the 90–99 interval and 20% reach a score of 100. The results of statistical tests show that the pre-test data is normally distributed (sig = 0.131 > 0.05), while the post-test is not normal (sig = 0.010 < 0.05), but the homogeneity test shows homogeneous variance (sig = 0.814 > 0.05). The Paired Sample T-Test test produces a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, so there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test. Thus, audio-visual media is proven to have a significant and effective effect in improving students' listening skills.

Abstract

Trigona spp. is one of the social insects that can be cultivated in open spaces, urban areas, or through a practice known as meliponiculture. Introduced colonies rely on surrounding vegetation for nectar, pollen, and resin, which are essential for supporting the queen, colony, and larvae to maintain overall colony health. Green open spaces are often underutilized, serving primarily as areas for human activities. This study aims to evaluate the success of introducing Trigona spp. bees and assess the potential of the green open space at the Universitas Sumatera Utara campus as a small-scale honey production industry. The results indicated that foraging activities continued despite the rainy season (October, November) during the two-month observation period. A total of 18 ornamental and shade plants were identified as nectar and pollen sources, with two key species namely Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana: Clusiaceae) and Mango (Mangifera indica: Anacardiaceae), serving multifunctional roles in colony establishment. Productivity, as measured by the number of nest structures such as brood cells, pollen pots, and honey pots, reached 284, 46, and 85 units, respectively, with an average honey volume of 42.6 mL. Stepwise regression analysis yielded an equation indicating that total honey production was related to the combined activity of outgoing bees and incoming bees carrying pollen. These findings support the integration of Trigona spp. colonies into campus green spaces as a viable honey production industry, aligning with the university’s vision to create lush environments for academic and research activities.

Abstract

The implementation of immigration supervision policies for foreign nationals (WNA) requires organizational capacity capable of integrating various resources to ensure the effectiveness of supervision. This study aims to analyze the implementation of immigration supervision policies for foreign nationals (WNA) at the Class I TPI Padang Immigration Office by identifying factors that support and hinder policy implementation. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model with the George C. Edwards III policy implementation framework covering communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The study shows that policy implementation has been carried out through administrative supervision and field supervision. Supporting factors for implementation include inter-agency coordination through the Foreigner Supervision Team (TIMPORA), the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), the use of the Foreigner Reporting Application (APOA), operational support, and apparatus commitment. Meanwhile, the size of the work area, limited human resources, and limited budget are the main factors that hinder the implementation of supervision. This study confirms that the effectiveness of policy implementation is not only determined by the availability of resources, but also by the organization's ability to integrate various supporting factors and manage various limitations in implementing immigration supervision.

Abstract

Religious moderation is one of the important paradigms in maintaining harmony within Indonesia's multicultural society. From the perspective of Islamic Law, the theory of maslahah is oriented toward realizing benefit and preventing harm as the main objectives of sharia (maqāṣid al-syarī'ah). Meanwhile, Buddhist teachings recognize the concept of Sabbe Satta Bhavantu Sukhitatta, which carries a universal meaning in the form of a prayer and hope that all living beings attain happiness, peace, and freedom from suffering. This study aims to analyze the relevance of maslahah theory in Islamic Law to the concept of Sabbe Satta Bhavantu Sukhitatta and its implementation in the practice of religious moderation at Budhasari Vihara, Tulungagung. The study uses a qualitative approach with a field research design combined with a literature study. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with vihara administrators, religious figures, and the surrounding community, as well as documentation, and were then analyzed using descriptive-comparative analysis techniques with normative and sociological approaches. The results show that maslahah theory and the concept of Sabbe Satta Bhavantu Sukhitatta meet at points of universal human values, namely the protection of life, respect for human dignity, tolerance, compassion, and efforts to realize social peace. The implementation of both concepts is reflected in the practice of interfaith dialogue, openness to the community, social activities, and interfaith cooperation that take place at Budhasari Vihara, Tulungagung. This study concludes that maslahah theory in Islamic Law has substantive relevance to the concept of Sabbe Satta Bhavantu Sukhitatta as an ethical foundation for building religious moderation, so that both can become a shared paradigm in strengthening harmony, social integration, and a harmonious national life amid a plural society.

Abstract

The implementation of the Civil Servant (ASN) code of ethics policy is an important instrument in building apparatus compliance and strengthening governance with integrity. Although the regulatory framework regarding the ASN code of ethics is available, the effectiveness of its implementation still faces various challenges in the practice of regional government administration. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the ASN code of ethics policy in building apparatus compliance at the National Unity and Politics Agency of Tanah Datar Regency. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The research analysis uses the policy implementation perspective of George C. Edwards III which emphasizes the dimensions of communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The results show that apparatus compliance is built through three interrelated implementation mechanisms: policy communication through the socialization of the code of ethics, apparatus development that strengthens commitment to ethical values, and monitoring and evaluation supported by the bureaucratic structure and the use of digital technology. Policy implementation is not only oriented toward enforcing regulations, but also fostering an organizational culture that promotes integrity, professionalism, discipline, and accountability among officials. This research confirms that the effectiveness of code of ethics policy implementation is determined more by integrated communication, coaching, and oversight than by the mere existence of regulations as normative instruments.

Abstract

A greenhouse is a cultivation technology designed to control environmental conditions to support optimal plant growth. However, in tropical regions such as Indonesia, the air temperature inside greenhouses tends to increase due to high solar radiation, making an effective cooling system essential. This study aims to evaluate the performance of a cooling pad and exhaust fan system in reducing air temperature, maintaining relative humidity, and achieving uniform temperature distribution through forced convection heat transfer inside a greenhouse. An experimental method was employed by measuring outdoor temperature, indoor temperature, relative humidity (RH), and air velocity at 12 sensor locations. Data were collected every 20 minutes from 08:00 to 16:00 for 28 consecutive days. The collected data were analyzed to determine the average temperature, temperature distribution, temperature reduction (ΔT), and cooling system effectiveness. The results indicate that the cooling pad and exhaust fan system reduced the indoor air temperature by an average of 4.25°C, maintained relative humidity within the range of 70–84%, and produced an air velocity between 0.90 and 1.12 m/s. The temperature distribution across the 12 sensor locations showed a maximum difference of only 0.3°C, indicating a uniform air distribution throughout the greenhouse. Therefore, the proposed cooling system is effective in controlling the greenhouse microclimate and has the potential to improve crop cultivation performance in tropical environments.

Abstract

This study employed an experimental research method with a quantitative approach to investigate the effect of air inlet position and opening area on temperature distribution inside a tropical greenhouse utilizing natural convection. Three ventilation configurations were tested: V1 with a bottom air inlet and an opening area of 0.02 m², V2 with a middle air inlet and an opening area of 0.04 m², and V3 with a top air inlet and an opening area of 0.06 m². The experiment was conducted in a naturally ventilated tropical greenhouse under controlled conditions while maintaining constant greenhouse dimensions, covering materials, measurement schedules, and weather conditions. Environmental parameters, including air temperature, relative humidity, and air velocity, were measured at twelve observation points distributed throughout the greenhouse using thermocouples, a hygrometer, and an anemometer. Data collection was carried out during the morning, midday, and afternoon to evaluate the daily variation of the greenhouse microclimate. The collected data were analyzed based on the principles of heat transfer, including conduction, natural convection, and thermal radiation, to determine the influence of different ventilation configurations on airflow circulation and thermal performance. The experimental method enabled direct observation of the relationship between air inlet configuration and the resulting environmental conditions, providing a reliable basis for evaluating the effectiveness of natural ventilation in improving temperature distribution and overall microclimate quality inside tropical greenhouses.

Abstract

Currently, the demand for residential housing is very high. Therefore, the government permits the transfer of land rights based on a Sale and Purchase Binding Agreement (PPJB), provided that certain requirements are met. One of the requirements is that the agreement must be executed before an authorized Notary, the housing development must have reached at least 20% construction progress, and the developer must have obtained a building permit issued by the relevant government authority. This study aims to examine the legal protection concerning the implementation of the subdivision of Freehold Title Certificates (Hak Milik) as a basis for consumer protection under the Sale and Purchase Binding Agreement (PPJB) in housing transactions. It also analyzes the legal framework governing liability in relation to such legal protection. This research employs a normative legal research method. The legal materials used consist of two types, namely primary and secondary legal materials. The legal materials were collected through library research, while the approaches adopted in this study are the statutory approach and the conceptual case approach. The results of the study indicate that consumers obtain legal protection in a PPJB once they have fully paid the purchase price and the PPJB has been executed before a Notary. Furthermore, if the developer breaches the PPJB, legal protection for consumers may initially be pursued through deliberation to reach a mutual agreement. If no agreement can be reached, consumers may file a lawsuit before the general courts or, alternatively, resolve the dispute through out-of-court mechanisms, which are generally conducted through arbitration.
