Abstract

The Character is something that is inherent in a person and is formed from his family environment from an early age. However, the character of each person is clearly different, this happens because of several factors, one of which is the environmental factor in which he lives. The background of this research is that there is a problem of character education which is still quite minimal among the children of the Tanjungrejo Village, especially regarding environmental awareness. This study aims to increase knowledge and insight about character education by educating the use of plastic waste into flower pots and planting plants for children in the Tanjungrejo Village. The type of research used is a qualitative descriptive approach, because researchers want to know and provide value-based experiences related to increasing the character of caring for the environment for Tanjungrejo Village Children through Education on the Utilization of Plastic Waste and Planting Practices. The target or target is the children in the Tajungrejo Village, which totals approximately 50 children. Sources of data obtained from field studies or primary data and secondary data obtained from relevant journals or articles. The results of the study show that the character of caring for the environment can be applied to children in the Tanjungrejo Village with Education on the Utilization of Plastic Waste and Planting Practices. The character of caring for the environment needs to be applied from an early age so that children grow into individuals who care about their environment, especially in the Tanjungrejo sub-district

Abstract

Current technological developments require expertise in managing good words for making job applications, school assignments, making learning materials and other needs that are beneficial to society. Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) Negeri 11 Manggarai is one of the institutions that has services for information through education, one of which is Pursue Package C. The unavailability of computer laboratories is a limitation in improving skills in using computer applications, cooperation between PKBM Negeri 11 Manggarai and Universitas Budi Luhur The Faculty of Information Technology has jointly provided an increase in the ability to use the Microsoft Word application for PKBM Negeri 11 Manggarai Jakarta students. The training methods used are preparation, implementation and evaluation. The result of the training activity was an increase in the level of understanding of the 16 participants who were present, as many as 13 participants who already understood and could use the Microsoft Word application.

Abstract

The importance of studying computer programming for students is that students will gain the ability to think computationally systematically, which includes a more robust way of thinking (robust) in looking at a problem. However, learning computer programming is often considered complicated and requires regular practice. The current condition of the partner, namely SMKN 1 Dumai, is the lack of student interest in learning, curiosity, and the joy of learning coding. This is caused by many factors, one of which is the assumption that students learn coding is something that is complicated and boring. In addition, it is also caused by the learning strategies and methods applied by the teacher are not sufficiently capable of arousing students' curiosity about the lesson. The learning process which is not conducive and the low interest in student learning can be handled by the teacher by providing material in a fun way (fun learning). One way to learn basic coding in a fun way is to learn with hours of code in the game Minecraft. This community service activity was carried out on September 6, 2022, with a total of 22 participants. The results of this activity were in the form of an evaluation of activities through a questionnaire and the result was that 89,90% of the training participants understood the material and were able to practice the Minecraft game project themselves. In addition, the participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the activity because it was presented with fun activities, such as playing games. Based on the results of the questionnaire, training recommendations were also obtained for the next activity in the form of training in implementing the Internet of Things (IoT) project.

Abstract

Every General Election, the citizens of Medan City face quite a challenge in exercising their right to vote. Lack of political understanding may be the cause of the low voter participation among the citizens of Medan City. Passive activities in political education and political socialization contributed to the low level of involvement in Medan City. Therefore, the purpose of this service is to inform youth groups about digital-based political education through digital content development training. Participatory Learning and Action methods through learning procedures that combine lecture techniques and participatory discussions to group learning are carried out in this activity. Service activities carried out for Youth Karang Taruna, Medan Johor Subdistrict, include: First, learning about political education. Second, improve digital literacy competence and digital content creation. Third, training to become a content creator. The results of the service recommend activity participants improve their skills in creating digital content. Further development and training are needed to be skilled in honing the ability to produce digital content. For the sake of knowledge that is implemented in the form of digital-based political education, continuous guidance and assistance are needed for Youth Karang Taruna, Medan Johor District.

Abstract

namely students who have excellent managerial knowledge and innovative products. Students as business actors, both pioneering and micro-based, are hampered by the lack of digital knowledge of students in various uniqueness ranging from business models to customer experience. In addition, the lack of student knowledge in utilizing technology or digitalization. The purpose of this community service is to provide understanding and knowledge of digital business development including product and packaging development strategies, facilities and infrastructure, and promotion and marketing communication strategies. This community service activity was carried out using lecture and discussion methods. The results of this service are that some students have understood about attractive product packaging design and are trying to use the platform as a means of promotion according to the products produced. Through this service, it is hoped that students can continue to be entrepreneurs by innovating to create new products

Abstract

Vocation Senior Shcool students who are ready to penetrate industrial company must have hard skills. One of hard skills is being able to use the latest technology, especially network-based technology, namely Mikrotik. Mikrotik is a network devic that can perform as router or access point. With GUI-based application, learning Mikrotik was simple and easy to be applied. The purpose of this training is to equip students to be able to use Mikrotik independently on small-scale networks. This training was held four times, which was attended by 14 student participants and 2 teachers of SMK Pawiyatan Surabaya. The training was held in a computer network laboratory, which consisted of 16 computers as hosts and 16 microphones. Each participant operates Mikrotik independently, guided by the trainer. Training questionnaires were distributed to all participants as an indicator of the success this training. The questionnaire contains training materials, trainer performance, training facilities and training atmosphere. Based on the numbers that have been processed, the average questionnaire rating is 56% strongly agree, 42% agree, and 2% disagree. The assessment of these numbers shows that this PKM activity received a good response from the training participants

Abstract

Jakarta Islamic Center (JIC) is a local government institution that includes elements of local government and society with main tasks including human resources development, information and communication and business development. In the information and communication function, JIC requires a medium that can be used for broadcasting Islamic proselytizing optimally and managed professionally with an attractive and up to date appearance. Therefore, a team of lecturers from the Faculty of Information Technology, Nusa Mandiri University (FTI UNM) conducted community service in the form of training on how to design UI / UX with figma on mobile apps for JIC mosque teenagers. The training was held on October 15, 2022 at the Damai campus with 14 participants through presentations, demonstrations, discussions and questions and answers. The results of the research can equip new knowledge and knowledge for participants so that they have skills in creating and managing information and communication media in the form of mobile apps with attractive designs and in accordance with the needs of visitors.

Abstract

Elderly is someone aged ≥ 60 years, who has decreased ability to adapt to their environment and is powerless to meet their daily needs alone. The elderly often experience various kinds of problems caused by various factors such as very serious economic, social, health, psychological and physical factors. The inability of the elderly to do things related to work causes the elderly to experience a decrease in income, even though many of the elderly are still productive and can play an active role in society. Responsive steps for the welfare of the elderly are inseparable from various factors, both from the elderly themselves, the family environment, society and the government. In Law no. 13 of 1998 explained that the elderly have the right to improve their welfare, namely to get social protection and social assistance. Providing social assistance and social protection can increase dignity, self-confidence and reduce the burden on elderly families. Welfare of the elderly can be done in orphanages or non-orphanages. To increase activity and social interaction among the elderly in practicum activities, I use the stages used in social intervention at the mezzo level, which are group work stages consisting of the assessment stage, the program planning stage, the intervention stage, the evaluation stage, and the termination stage.

Abstract

The Literacy Program as a community service activity is part of the Teaching Campus Program Batch 4 of 2022. As a form of implementing Merdeka Belajar, the deployment of students to predetermined schools is intended to help the learning process in schools. The object of this activity is students of SMP IT AL-INABAH PONOROGO which is located at Jl. Harapan Jaya, Japan, Babadan District, Ponorogo Regency, East Java. The method of implementing service, through making means based on student creativity, to be taught to students. The literacy and numeracy improvement program is one of the branches of the interests of Technology Adaptation, improving Administeration, and assisting the school in the teaching process. The result of this service activity is the implementation of several activities that are integrated with Literacy and Numeracy, namely as follows: Procurement of reading gardens, reading corners, traditional dance training, hygiene guard training, and Joyfull Learning activities. The objectivesof the above activities are to foster empathy and social sensitivity, improve skills in thinking and cooperation between teachers and students, develop knowledge, identity, and student skills, increase the role and real contribution of universities and students in national development .

Abstract

The lack of student skills, especially in the practice of tax reporting and socialization of tax reporting for students, makes training necessary for students, where this understanding will be embedded in the minds of students when they can become taxpayers. Therefore, the community service team at the Semarang University proposed training activities on MSME taxation for students at SMKN 2 Semarang. The purpose of holding this activity is to provide tax reporting practices in accordance with applicable regulations and increase self-awareness to comply with paying taxes. Community service activities in the form of MSME taxation training are packaged in seminars containing hands-on practice, namely the practice of simple income tax calculations, as well as the final tax reporting mechanism (Final Income Tax) using the DJP System in accordance with the latest tax laws. Tax training was held in October 2022 in the SMKN 2 Semarang. After the activity is carried out, the results of the pretest and posttest can be concluded that students can understand the steps for reporting MSME business taxation properly and correctly according to applicable regulations. Therefore, tax training especially for MSMEs must be carried put early on to raise awareness of tax reporting for graduates, especially those who are going to be entrepreneurs and work so that they can carry out MSME business tax reporting practices properly and correctly according to applicable regulations.
