Abstract

Curahpoh Village, Curahdami District, Bondowoso Regency is able to produce quality coffee and can be used as a coffee center village. The economy of the people there depends on the harvest from coffee plantations. Coaching started from 2019 until now and continues to be carried out. The coffee farmers we train are coffee farmers who are members of LMDH Argo Santoso, Curahpoh Village, Curahdami District, Bondowoso. In 2019, we donated 300 seeds of clones BP 936, BP 939 and BP 409. In 2020, we donated 500 seeds of clones BP 358, BP42 and BP 409. The seeds we donated were superior seeds resulting from grafting technology with BP rootstock. 308. BP 308 is a special coffee plant for rootstock because of its dense and strong roots. The current condition of the coffee plants is that they are grown and cared for well. The service team together with students calculated the production potential of coffee berries. The main parameters in calculating production potential are the effective number of branches, number of dompolans, number of perdompolan fruit and weight per coffee fruit. The calculation results of the potential production of coffee grown from the grant are 2.1 tons/ha. The production potential reaches 6 times the potential of coffee owned by farmers in Curahpoh, which is around only 0.4 tons/ha.

Abstract

The problem faced by mothers, especially Dawis Melati 2 RT 07 RW 03 Jombor Bendosari Sukoharjo, is the use of conventional bath soap which contains dangerous chemicals and is not environmentally friendly. The proposed solution is to provide training to groups of mothers in Dawis to make eco enzyme soap. Competitive Community Service in the Field of Science (PMKBI) aims to empower groups of mothers, especially housewives. The method used is in 2 stages, the first is an introduction to the benefits of eco-enzymes and an introduction to the ingredients used to make soap. The second stage is training in the process of making bath soap using environmentally friendly eco-enzyme ingredients. Apart from that, education was also provided about the dangers of chemicals in conventional soap. The number of participants who attended the training was 17 women. Before the training was carried out, a pre-test was given and an average score of 51.57% was obtained and the post-test score after the training was 83.53%, so there was an increase in knowledge of 32%, so knowledge mothers about eco-enzyme bath soap and how to make it can be understood and known well. Based on the calculation of the value of the rupiah, if calculated from 1 month's expenditure, an average of 4 pieces cost Rp. 25,000, the cost of making eco-enzum soap per production could be 8 pieces with a production cost of Rp. 50,000, so you can save Rp. 25,000,-. each month.

Abstract

Children who live their daily lives playing with their peers, whether at school, playgrounds and learning, home, will increase their self-confidence. Confidence in terms of being able to interact, express their opinions and communicate well, express positive affirmations for themselves and their peers, and be able to determine a decision. This child's confidence will be needed until they grow up, and will increase the child's sense of independence. However, in carrying out the Social Welfare Field Work Practice at the YAFSI Smart House, the author found cases of individual children, who did not believe in the abilities possessed by these individuals. So that the author provides assistance and facilitates the individual child to be able to develop themselves, and be able to increase self-confidence, through providing a role that the individual will be responsible for. With the role given, it aims for the individual child to be able to start determining their own decisions slowly, and be able to express what they feel, thus further improving communication skills, and increasing the individual child's self-confidence.

Abstract

Practicum activities or can be called field work practices (PKL) are one of the courses that must be carried out by prospective social worker students in the Social Welfare Study Program of FISIP USU. This activity is important because it improves skills and implements the theories that have been learned while taking courses that have been offered in the Social Welfare Study Program. The first practicum activity was carried out at the YAFSI Smart House for 2 months.Bullying is a phenomenon that is rampant among adolescents, especially in the school environment. Bullying that is received can be physical, verbal, and relational. Adolescents who get bullying behavior from their friends can affect their self-confidence. Self-confidence is an important psychological factor that affects various aspects of an individual's life, including the ability to face and overcome bullying situations. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-confidence and bullying experiences among adolescents. Nowadays, there are still teenagers or the current generation who lack confidence or are still hesitant in making a decision.

Abstract

This research explores the impact of giving a bouquet of flowers to women who are in a socio-economically vulnerable condition, in the rapid development of the times that makes changes throughout the scope of human life. Ineffective waste management can lead to various environmental problems, including soil and water pollution and can cause pollution that is harmful to the community. This study aims to explore creative approaches in recycling plastic and paper waste by making flower bouquets. Not only does this approach reduce the volume of waste, it also raises awareness to the community about the importance of recycling and creativity in waste management. The study concluded that making flower bouquets from plastic and paper waste not only contributes to waste reduction, but also opens up economic opportunities for clients through creative industries

Abstract

Calistung (reading, writing, arithmetic) is a fundamental skill set crucial for elementary school children as it forms the primary foundation of education. Mastering calistung aids in developing cognitive abilities, communication skills, and self-directed learning. Additionally, calistung enhances self-confidence, prepares children for daily life, and their professional future. Calistung education also plays a role in reducing educational inequality. Therefore, special attention from educators and parents in teaching calistung from an early age is essential to support both academic and personal development. During the Field Work Practice conducted at Rumah Literasi Ranggi, the author encountered several cases of children experiencing delays in calistung. As a result, the author assisted and facilitated these children in learning calistung during the internship period. With the goal of improving basic skills, strengthening self-confidence, developing cognitive skills, facilitating adaptation to formal education, enhancing social and emotional skills, supporting fine motor development, and adjusting learning approaches. By achieving these objectives, these children will be better prepared for further education and function more effectively in daily life.

Abstract

Drug (Narcotics, Alcohol, and Addictive Substances) abuse is a pressing problem at the global level, including Indonesia. Medical and psychosocial rehabilitation approaches have become the main cornerstones in dealing with individuals caught up in this abuse. In rehabilitation centers such as Medan Plus Rehabilitation, the roles of counselors and social workers play an important role in providing holistic assistance to individuals facing the challenges of drug abuse. This study aims to explore in depth the main tasks and functions (Tupoksi) of counselors and social workers in handling drug abuse cases at Medan Plus Rehabilitation. The research method applied was qualitative using in-depth interviews and participatory observation.The results of the analysis showed that the roles of counselors and social workers are very complex and cover various aspects, ranging from clinical evaluation, preparation of intervention plans, to the provision of individual and group counseling, as well as supervision and assistance during the rehabilitation process.

Abstract

The Family Hope Program (PKH) is a conditional cash transfer program that accelerates poverty alleviation in Indonesia by providing access to healthcare, education, and other basic social services. This study focuses on educational interventions for children receiving PKH in Nagahuta Village through Field Work Practice (PKL). The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to produce descriptive data from natural conditions. The practitioners conducted the "BerKreMo" (Learning through Playing, Creativity, and Motivation) mini project to address children's learning issues. The intervention results showed that the "BerKreMo" program successfully increased the learning motivation of children who were previously reluctant to study, making them more active and motivated. Activities that combined learning with play and creative endeavors effectively enhanced the children's interest and abilities in reading and learning English. This program also provided new insights to the community on the importance of interactive and creative education, raising awareness and community participation in supporting children's development. This study concludes that "BerKreMo" can improve children's behavior and comprehensively develop their social, cognitive, and emotional skills, creating a positive impact in the Nagahuta Village environment. Abstract

Field Work Practice (PKL) is an activity carried out to provide practical experience directly in the field to students, so that these students are increasingly aware of activities in the field of social welfare professionally and can carry out interventions independently while increasing networks and contributions to the community. Literacy is a fundamental skill that should be developed early in a child's life as it affects their cognitive and social development. Mobilizing literacy in children today is a big challenge and requires a creative and collaborative approach in handling it. This research aims to mobilize the literacy program at Rumah Belajar Starban, Sikkola Rakyat Indonesia, through mini projects in the form of Art Class and Re-Earth. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation analysis of each mini project activity. The results showed that through the Art Class activities the assisted children were not only involved in reading and writing, but also could think creatively and have the confidence to display their talents. Meanwhile, the Re-Earth program helps provide an understanding of the importance of protecting the environment and hone creative and critical thinking skills in the process of processing plastic waste into works of art. This program has proven to be successful in increasing the interest and motivation of Starban's children towards literacy and also their level of environmental awareness.

Abstract

Goals are desires, hopes, or goals that a person wants to achieve and thinks about in the future. The usefulness in one's life is that one has something to focus on and work towards, which helps one to be productive, helps one to learn about perseverance in pursuit of goals, builds and increases self-confidence, and helps one to focus and make good decisions because every decision has an impact on the achievement of one's goals. In determining goals, parents have a big role, namely as the child's first image, example, and also the function of parenting. Problems were found by practitioners when orphanage children could not determine their goals. This Field Work Practice uses mezzo intervention methods, namely group work in handling client problems. Intervention is the act of making changes to individuals, groups, and communities that experience impaired functioning. The objectives of the intervention include restoring the client's social functioning, overcoming and preventing problems, achieving community social improvement, encouraging clients to develop the ability to utilize environmental resources. The handling of client problems is carried out together using existing stages, namely engagement, intake, & contract, assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and termination. In its application, it is concluded that clients can learn well using the help of image media and can determine their goals.
