Abstract

This research was conducted in the Siberut Watershed, Mentawai Islands Regency, West Sumatra Province, with the aim of identifying the distribution of buildings, which are located on the boundaries of large rivers in the Siberut Watershed. The data processing method for identifying the distribution of buildings uses spatial analysis methods by digitizing high resolution satellite images using Arc Map 10.8 software and Microsoft Excel software to calculate the number and area of ??land. Based on research results, the border of a large river in the Siberut watershed was found to be 1,297.08 ha, the river passes through two sub-districts and six villages with the predominance of villages from the South Siberian sub-district which has five villages. Based on the results of remote sensing and digitization, there are 525 building points, with a total building area of ??4.62 ha with the largest building position in Muara Siberut Village, with a total of 236 buildings with a total area of ??2.33 ha.

Abstract

This study examines the distribution of drinking water refilling business locations, to determine the distribution scheme of drinking water refilling businesses, and to determine the factors that influence the location of drinking water refilling business selection in Nanggalo District. This study used mixed methods research. For mapping the distribution of drinking water refilling businesses using geographic information systems (GIS), analysis of the distribution of drinking water refilling businesses using triangulation methods, analysis of nearest neighbors to determine patterns and distribution of businesses. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there are 52 storage points in Nanggalo District spread across 6 districts. The distribution scheme, repeating the filling of water and beverages in Nanggalo sub-district, has a random pattern. Factors that influence the selection of the location of the drinking water refill business in Nanggalo District are accessibility, population density, production costs, according to recommended factors.

Abstract

The karst area is one of the important potentials in terms of socio-economic and scientific, even has a hydrological function (water system) which is very important in supporting the survival of living things on it. Karst is a landscape that is very vulnerable to natural and human pressures. Batu Kapal Cave is a unique karst that is designated as one of the Geoheritage of West Sumatra. This study aims to analyze the management planning of Goa Batu Kapal Geopark, Sangir District, South Solok Regency. The type of research used is exploratory descriptive with the Grounded theory method, which is a research methodology where field data is the source of theory formulation. The development and management of Batu Kapal Cave Karst Area can be used for geotourism. Various activities carried out include Caving Campgrounds, Rock Climbing, Playgrounds, Hammock Camping, Museums, Honey Bee Farming, location of Research and Education. The concept of management with community-based tourism and the use of selected local natural materials for the development of supporting facilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution of landslide-prone areas and evaluate the suitability of spatial patterns based on landslide vulnerability in Pesisir Selatan Regency. The method is quantitative and descriptive using score classification and parameter weighting used, based on the Puslittanak method (2004). To evaluate the suitability of an area's spatial pattern for landslide hazard using a GIS-based overlay method (ArcGIS 10.3 software). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Pesisir Selatan region has a low landslide vulnerability of 125788,3 ha (21%), a moderate landslide vulnerability of 455685,8 ha (76%), covering 15 sub-districts, and a high. prone to landslides covering an area of 20293 ha (3%) covering 14 districts. The landslide susceptibility map shows 67% suitable and 33% not suitable. Suitable are advised not to carry out new developments or expansion of land use, and areas that are not suitable need to revise regional spatial patterns, especially in areas prone to high landslides.

Abstract

This research was conducted in the city of Padang, which is a center of mobility for the people of West Sumatra. This research is aimed at (1) Calculating the average air quality before and during the COVID-19 PSBB in Padang City (2) Classifying air quality before and during PSBB in Padang City (3) Knowing the increase in COVID-19 based on air quality in the City Padang. In this study using a descriptive method with a quantitative approach, namely correcting air quality in the city of Padang using Landsat 8 satellite image data processed with Arc Gis 10.7.1 following the air quality algorithm. The reference for this research is based on the Air Pollution Standard Index (ISPU), which is then tested differently using the Linear Regression method. The results of this study can be used as data and information for the community and government, especially for use in research on air quality during the COVID-19 pandemic. From this research, it can be seen that the air quality in Padang City, before and during the PSBB, had improved, where the air quality during the PSBB had decreased levels of PM10, SO2, and NOx.

Abstract

Multidimensional poverty research was carried out in districts/cities located in the coastal area of ??Bengkulu Province. This research aims to identify the intensity of poverty, identify multidimensional poverty, and identify the level of poverty deprivation in districts/cities in the coastal areas of Bengkulu Province. This research uses secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Bengkulu Province in the form of microstatistical data, namely National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS) pooled cross-section data with a survey wave period of 2022. The method used is the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) method. modified from Alkire and Foster. The results of the research show that the intensity of multidimensional poverty in the northern region, namely the Muko-Muko district (15.28%) is lower than in the southern region, namely the Kaur district (37.16%). The Multidimensional poverty rate (M) in the Northern region of Bengkulu Province, namely Muko-Muko Regency, is smaller (6.16%) compared to the Southern region of Bengkulu Province, namely Kaur Regency (16.98%). Household deprivation status according to multidimensional poverty indicators, namely the number of years of schooling, potable water, and then the indicators of household calorie consumption and household protein consumption which contribute a lot to multidimensional poverty in the Northern region of Bengkulu Province, namely Muko-Muko Regency and the Southern Region of Bengkulu Province, namely Kaur District.
