Abstract

The objective of this study is to find out the effect of quantum reading strategy on the intensive reading ability of 4th grade students of state-owned Elementary School No.10 Bandar Buat, Padang. This study used a quantitative approach in the form of a quasi-experimental design. The research design of this study is the non-equivalent posttest-only control group design and the sampling technique is saturation sampling. based on the analysis results of the hypothesis test with the significance level of 5%, it was found that t calculation > t table (2,95995 > 1,67155). It is concluded that the quantum reading strategy has a significant effect on the intensive reading ability of 4th grade students at state-owned Elementary School No.10 Bandar Buat, Padang. Keywords: quantum reading, intensive reading, elementary school students

Abstract

The research is aimed to know about the improvement of learning outcomes FPB and KPK with a realistic mathematics education approach (PMRI) at fourth grade in public elementary school 27 Pangka Tanjung subdistrict Tanjung Raya. This research is kind of action research and using qualitative and quantitative approach. Subject of the research is all fourth grade. Instrument of the research used test sheet and observation sheet. Data analysis technique of the research used to qualitative and quantitative descriptive. This research is a Class Action Reseach with qualitative and quantitative approach where the subjects are the teacher and Grade V students, in total, 22 people. The result of the research shows the improvement in Lesson Plan, the implemention and study results. Based on data analysis, it was obtained the result of planning in Cycle I is by 73% in average, improved in Cycle II to 93%. The teacher’s implementation in Cycle I gets average score by 73%, and improved to 95% in Cycle II. The Result of students implementation in Cycle I gets average score by 70%, and improved to 93% in Cycle II. The students’ study learning in Cycle I gets average score by74.4 and improved in Cycle II to 84.1.Keywords : Study Result, Social Science Learning, Cooperative type of Think Pair Share (TPS)

Abstract

The research objective was to describe the improvement of comprehension reading ability using the Talking stick model of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 06 Piai Tangah, Kota Padang. Research subjects were researchers as practitioners and fourth grade students totaling 31 students consisting of 18 men and 13 women. In prabaca cycle I got an average score of 60.48, the average value when reading 66.53, and the average post-reading value 69.35. In cycle II the average score was 75.81, the average value when reading was 95.56, and the average post-reading value was 77.41. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the improvement of narrative essay writing skills using series drawing media in grade IV elementary school students. The type of research is PTK using qualitative and quantitative approaches. This research was conducted at SDN 52 Parupuak Tabiang, Padang City with a total of 25 students consisting of 7 male students and 18 female students. Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that teachers tend to apply the conventional learning model. Learning is still centered on the teacher, so the students less actively participate in the learning. Teachers rarely build basic knowledge of students at the beginning of learning and rarely do reflections at the end of learning, as well as student learning outcomes in IPS lessons that still tend to be under the KKM. This study aims to determine the effect of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning on student learning outcomes in learning IPS class V in SD N Gugus 3 Kec. Geringging River Kab.Pariaman in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018. This research was conducted on the material of figures during the Hindu-Buddhist and Islam in Indonesia.               This research is a quantitative research with experimental type and quasi experimental research design. Sampling data is collected by Random Sampling cluster technique. The sample of this study amounted to 28 people, with a population of 150 people.Based on the research that has been done, obtained t count> ttable = (9,59> 1,70562)> from 0,227 with α = 0,05 means Ho rejected. The average learning outcomes measured by posttest after the learning that is in the experimental class 82.85 and control class 75.14 so that Ha accepted that there is influence the use of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model of student learning outcomes in learning IPS class V in SD N Gugus 3 Kec. Abstract

Purpose of this research was to describe plan, implementation, and increase of study resultspiece as ratio and scale with Problem Based Learning in fifth level elementary school. The kind of this research was Action Classroom Research with qualitative approach and quantity approach. Subjects of this research were students from fifth level in elementary scool who consist of 14 male and 9 female and also a teacher. This research was implementation on two cycle. It consist of plan, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of research indicated increase on a) Increase plan of first cycle was 76,79% up to 89,28% in second cycle, b) Implementation of teacher aspect on first cycle was 70% increased up to 90% and implementation of students aspect was 67,5% on first cycle and increased up to 90% on second cycle, c) Study result of students on first cycle was 73,30% and 81,69% on second cycle. The conclusion this research was learning  with Problem Based Learning can increased study results of piece as ratio and scale in fifth level elementary school.  Keywords: study results; piece as ratio and scale; problem based learning.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe the improvement of reading comprehension ability by using the PORPE strategy on the 4th grade students of Elementary School No.34 Simpang Haru, Padang. Research subjects were teachers and 32 students in the 4th grade of Elementary School No. 34 Simpang Haru, Padang. This study is a classroom action research that uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results showed that the students’ ability in reading comprehension increased from 82,4 (Good) with 78,1% level of mastery in cycle I, to 90 (Very Good) with 95% level of mastery in cycle II. The percentage of improvement from cycle I to cycle II is 7,6 %. Based on these results, it is concluded that the PORPE strategy can improve the ability of reading comprehension of the 4th grade students of Elementary School. Keywords: Reading comprehension ability; PORPE strategy

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the plan, the learning process and the improvement of the student, learning achievemntin Social Studies in the grade V of SDN 20 V Koto Kampung Dalam Padang Pariaman` The data of the research were the Lesson plan, the teacher and the student` activities, and the student` learning achievement. the result of the research indicated that from the first cycle to the second one, the score of the Lesson Plan Increased from 79% to 96%, the teacher`s aspect increased from 79% to 95%, the student`s aspect from 72% to 93%. keyword : Social Science learning achievement, Social Science learning process, Snowball Throwing
