Abstract

The rapid growth of digital marketing has encouraged businesses to utilize social media as a strategic tool for building brand awareness. However, the implementation of Electronic Word of Mouth (e-WOM) and Instagram Ads among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly in the beef distribution industry, has not been fully optimized. Therefore, it is important to examine the effectiveness of these digital marketing strategies in enhancing consumer brand awareness. This study aims to analyze the influence of Electronic Word of Mouth (e-WOM) and Instagram Ads on Brand Awareness at Meat Service Denpasar, both partially and simultaneously. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey research design. The study population consisted of audiences who had been exposed to Meat Service's Instagram content, while the sample comprised 120 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Primary data were collected using questionnaires, whereas secondary data were obtained from documentation and literature review. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis, partial tests (t-test), simultaneous tests (F-test), and coefficient of determination analysis. The findings reveal that Electronic Word of Mouth (e-WOM) has a positive and significant effect on Brand Awareness by encouraging consumers to recognize and remember the Meat Service brand through online reviews, recommendations, and shared experiences. Instagram Ads also have a positive and significant effect on Brand Awareness and demonstrate a stronger influence than e-WOM by increasing audience exposure through visually appealing and informative promotional content. Furthermore, e-WOM and Instagram Ads simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on Brand Awareness. This study concludes that optimizing online consumer communication through Electronic Word of Mouth and maximizing the use of Instagram Ads are effective digital marketing strategies for improving Brand Awareness. These findings provide practical implications for Meat Service to strengthen its digital marketing activities, expand its market reach, reinforce its brand positioning, and enhance its competitiveness in the beef distribution industry.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in promoting economic growth, creating employment opportunities, increasing community income, and strengthening regional economies. However, the development of MSMEs continues to face various challenges influenced by entrepreneurial characteristics, business capital, and marketing strategies. Understanding the influence of these factors is essential for developing effective policies and strategies to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of MSMEs.This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial characteristics, business capital, and marketing strategies on the development of MSMEs in Padangsidimpuan City. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey research design. The population consisted of MSME owners in Padangsidimpuan City, with a sample of 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Primary data were collected using a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) through multiple linear regression analysis to examine the effect of the independent variables on MSME development. The results indicate that entrepreneurial characteristics have no significant effect on MSME development, with a significance value of 0.105 (>0.05). In contrast, business capital has a significant effect with a significance value of 0.030 (<0.05), while marketing strategy has a positive and significant effect with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.516 indicates that the three independent variables explain 51.6% of the variation in MSME development, whereas the remaining 48.4% is explained by other factors outside the research model.Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the development of MSMEs in Padangsidimpuan City is more strongly influenced by business capital and marketing strategies than by entrepreneurial characteristics. Therefore, improving access to business financing and enhancing the ability of MSME owners to implement effective marketing strategies are essential to support sustainable business development and strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed payment systems from cash-based transactions to cashless transactions. Various digital payment services, such as Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS), e-wallets, mobile banking, and debit cards, offer convenience, speed, and efficiency in conducting financial transactions. As a generation with high technological adaptability, Generation Z is the primary user of digital payment systems, making cashless transactions likely to influence their spending patterns. This study aims to analyze the effect of cashless transaction convenience on the spending patterns of Generation Z. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed in this study. The population consisted of Generation Z individuals who had used cashless payment methods. The sample consisted of 91 respondents who met the research criteria and were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a Google Forms questionnaire and analyzed using validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, simple linear regression, ANOVA Test (F-test), t-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²) with Jamovi software. The findings indicate that the convenience of cashless transactions does not have a statistically significant effect on the spending patterns of Generation Z. This is evidenced by a significance value of 0.124 (p > 0.05) and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.0269, indicating that cashless transaction convenience explains only 2.69% of the variation in spending patterns. Therefore, cashless transaction convenience is not the primary factor influencing the spending behavior of Generation Z. Other factors, such as financial literacy, income level, lifestyle, and self-control, are likely to have a greater influence. These findings are expected to provide useful insights for digital payment service providers and future researchers.

Abstract

Economic expansion continues to serve as a crucial measure of a nation's progress, while shifting towards renewable energy sources and decreasing carbon emissions has emerged as a vital goal for OECD nations in their pursuit of sustainable development. This research intends to analyze the influence of renewable energy usage, carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions, and Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF) on economic growth, as indicated by Gross Domestic Product (GDP), within OECD countries from 2015 to 2024. A quantitative methodology was utilized, employing panel data regression analysis based on annual secondary data sourced from the World Bank. The research targeted OECD member states, with the sample chosen through purposive sampling, taking into account the availability and thoroughness of the data. The results indicate that the consumption of renewable energy, CO₂ emissions, and Gross Fixed Capital Formation all exert a positive and statistically significant impact on economic growth. These outcomes suggest that the adoption of renewable energy and capital investments play a role in fostering economic growth, while the correlation between CO₂ emissions and GDP implies that economic growth within OECD nations is still heavily tied to carbon-heavy production methods. The results suggest that measures aimed at bolstering renewable energy initiatives and enhancing productive investments should be reinforced, alongside hastening the shift towards a low-carbon economic model to ensure sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

Changes in work patterns and the demands of the new generation have made employee retention a strategic issue for private companies in Tebing Tinggi. Generation Z tends to change jobs easily if they feel they are not growing and lack work-life balance. In this context, talent management and work-life balance are two key factors believed to significantly influence Generation Z employees’ decisions to stay with a company. This study aims to examine the effect of Talent Management and Work-Life Balance on Generation Z Employee Retention in private companies in Tebing Tinggi City. A quantitative approach was employed using a sample of 96 respondents, determined by the Cochran formula. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics with multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that Talent Management has a positive and significant effect on Employee Retention (Sig. = 0.002), while Work-Life Balance also has a positive and significant effect on Employee Retention (Sig. = 0.000). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence Employee Retention (F = 24.248; Sig. = 0.000). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.343 indicates that 34.3% of the variation in Employee Retention is explained by Talent Management and Work-Life Balance, while the remaining 65.7% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings suggest that effective talent management and work-life balance practices play an important role in improving Generation Z employee retention.

Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the application's quality from the users' perspective by describing the usability level of the iOS/App Store version of the SIGNAL application and identifying the Nielsen usability attribute with the highest and lowest user ratings. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design based on Jakob Nielsen’s usability framework, consisting of learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, and satisfaction. Involved 131 users of the iOS/App Store version of the SIGNAL application in Indonesia. Primary data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using univariate analysis. The results indicate that the SIGNAL application is relatively easy to learn and provides a satisfying user experience. However, users still encounter issues related to service efficiency, remembering the application workflow, and error handling. Overall, the SIGNAL application demonstrates a good level of usability and supports the digital transformation of public services. Nevertheless, improvements in system stability, service efficiency, and error-handling mechanisms are needed to enhance service quality, improve user experience, and encourage wider public adoption.

Abstract

The marketing of dairy cow milk plays a crucial role in determining distribution efficiency, price formation, and farmers' income. This study aims to analyze the structure, conduct, and performance of dairy milk marketing in Manggihan Village, Getasan District, Semarang Regency, using the Structure-Conduct-Performance (SCP) approach. A quantitative approach with a descriptive method was employed. The cattle population in the village totals 965 head. The sample consisted of 25 farmers selected via random sampling, while marketing institutions were identified using snowball sampling. Data were collected through observation, questionnaire-based interviews, and documentation, utilizing both primary and secondary sources. Data analysis covered market structure (via market share, Concentration Ratio [CR1], and Minimum Efficiency Scale [MES]), market conduct, and market performance (using marketing margins, farmer's share, and marketing efficiency). The results indicate a market structure tending toward monopsony, characterized by a 100% market share for collectors, sales shares of 97.76% to cooperatives and 2.43% to traders, a CR1 of 100%, and an MES of 100%, indicating high barriers to market entry. Three marketing channels were identified, with marketing margins of Rp33,000/liter, Rp3,200/liter, and Rp3,000/liter; farmer's shares of 17.5%, 53.8%, and 70%; and marketing efficiency values of 7.82%, 9.49%, and 4.89%. Channel III was the most efficient, exhibiting the lowest efficiency value and the highest farmer's share. Thus, dairy milk marketing in Manggihan Village remains dominated by a single major buyer, and Channel III offers the most efficient marketing performance.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the travel service industry have significant opportunities to participate in public procurement through Indonesia’s Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE). However, many travel MSMEs remain insufficiently prepared due to limited digital capabilities, weak organizational governance, inadequate legal and administrative compliance, and the absence of structured business development strategies. This study aims to analyze the internal and external business environment of QRS Travel, formulate strategic development initiatives, and develop a business model to improve organizational readiness for government procurement participation. A qualitative case study approach was employed using data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, document analysis, focus group discussions, and a review of relevant procurement regulations. The data were analyzed using the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) framework integrated with the Business Model Canvas (BMC). The findings reveal that digital capability, organizational governance, legal compliance, strategic partnerships, and human resource development are the primary determinants of organizational readiness for entering the government procurement market. The integration of SWOT and BMC produced strategic recommendations emphasizing digital transformation, business model innovation, governance improvement, and partnership expansion. These findings provide practical guidance for travel MSMEs seeking to strengthen their competitiveness and expand access to government procurement opportunities while contributing to the strategic management literature on MSME development in the digital procurement ecosystem.
