Abstract

This experimental study was conducted to determine whether there is an effect of self-management on academic procrastination. This study uses a true experimental research design with the type of Solomon Four Group Design. Participants in this study were 60 university students in Surabaya who were given a pretest to determine whether these students had a high level of procrastination. The measuring instrument used in this study is the Tuckman Procrastonation Scale (TPS). The results of the pretest showed that 40 students had a high level of procrastination, then the 40 students were randomly assigned (random assignment) into two groups. There were 20 students in the control group and 20 students in the experimental group. In accordance with the type of research used, each group was divided into four groups and received different treatment. The first and third experimental groups will receive group counseling using self-management techniques and will be given a pretest and posttest, while the second and fourth experimental groups will only receive counseling using self-management and pretest techniques. The first and third control groups will receive a pretest and posttest, while the second and fourth control groups will not receive treatment and will only receive a posttest. The results of this study indicate that the null hypothesis of this study is accepted, that is, there is no influence between self-management techniques and academic procrastination.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder, characterized by high levels of glucose in the blood (hyperglycemia) caused by decreased insulin secretion. One way to treat diabetes mellitus is to reduce postprandial glucose levels, which is to slow down glucose absorption through the inhibition of the alpha amylase enzyme. Alpha amylase inhibitors are compounds that can inhibit the breakdown of carbohydrates into glucose by the enzyme alpha amylase. One of the plants that have a hyperglycemic effect is red binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis). This study aimed to determine the inhibitory activity of the alpha amylase enzyme by ethanol extract and n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol-water fractions from the leaves of red binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) in vitro with a standard inhibitor of acarbose as a comparison. Acarbose can delay the hydrolysis of carbohydrates and disaccharides, absorption of sugar and inhibit the metabolism of sucrose into glucose and fructose. From the results of the tests that have been carried out, it is known that the leaves of red binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) contain secondary metabolites including flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, and steroids/triterpenoids. Meanwhile, the results of the alpha amylase inhibition test by ethanol extract and fractions obtained IC50 values of 113.926 mg/mL, 159.042 mg/mL, 23,609 mg/mL, and 31.704 mg/mL. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the ethyl acetate fraction of red binahong leaves (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) at a concentration of 200 ppm had the highest activity in inhibiting the alpha amylase enzyme with a percentage of inhibition of 84.650% and IC50 of 23.609 mg/mL.

Abstract

Every Indonesian citizen has the right to live and continue his life. Unfortunately, criminal acts that violate the right to life of citizens still occur even though this has been regulated firmly in the Criminal Code chapter XIX articles 338-350, such as acts of murder that are still carried out by citizens against other citizens. . If this is allowed, then the name of the rule of law is just a name without any act of justice that can deter and minimize crime. Judges as decision-makers in court certainly have an important role in upholding justice, but judges' decisions must be strengthened by various evidences. Therefore, the researcher wants to find out more about the application of evidence guided by the judge in passing the verdict on the crime of murder. The purpose of this study is to determine the important role of evidence guided by judges in making court decisions against the crime of murder. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with interview, documentation, and observation techniques at Court X in city Y. After the data is obtained, it can be analyzed to find out the results of the study which show that evidence indicates an important role for judges in deciding a criminal case. homicide by 80%. With this, the other 20% is influenced by other factors, both internal and external factors.

Abstract

The fundamental problem with the implementation of performance appraisal in the old regulation, namely Government Regulation No. 46 of 2011, is the gap between employee performance and organizational performance. This study aims to analyze how the civil servant performance management system through Government Regulation No. 30 of 2019 can overcome the performance gap as occurred in Government Regulation No. 46 of 2011. The analysis is carried out using the concept of team flow and the Management by Objectives process in the Implementation of the Civil Servant Performance Management System. The research used a mixed method with concurrent mixed methods. The sample for quantitative analysis was taken as many as 106 employees of Regional Office VIII of the Civil Service Agency. The results of simple regression testing prove that team flow prerequisites affect and contribute positively to team flow characteristics with correlation and determination coefficients of 0.461 and 0.667, respectively. The first multiple regression test results show that one of the team flow prerequisite indicators, namely the level of security, has a significant effect and has the largest contribution to team flow characteristics with correlation and determination coefficients of 2.036 and 0.846, respectively. Based on the research results, this study recommends that in order for the gap not to be repeated, it is necessary to maximize the role of implementing Management by Objectives.

Abstract

This research was conducted on Nusalaut Island, Central Maluku Regency, aiming to determine the land suitability class of several food crop commodities. Data collection and analysis methods include: (1) analysis of thematic maps, (2) preparation of Land Unit Maps (PSL), (3) field checking using the field survey method, which uses independent survey techniques; (4) observation of land characteristics and quality in each land unit, and (5) analysis of land characteristics and quality in each land unit. The follow-up analysis is in the form of: (1) determining the level of land suitability and (2) producing a map of land suitability classes for food crop commodities on the island of Nusalaut. The results of the assessment of land suitability class on food crops cassava, sweet potato, and corn included in the category of marginally suitable class (S3) with limiting factors of water availability (wa), rooting media (rc), slope (eh) and unsuitable class (N). Cassava plantations had a marginally suitable class (S3) with a limiting factor (wa, rc) of 1452.4 ha or 66.51% and for an unsuitable class (N) of 731.52 ha or 33.50%. Sweet potato plants have a marginally suitable class (S3) with a limiting factor (wa, rc, eh) covering an area of 1452.38 ha or 66.5% and for an unsuitable class (N) an area of 731.52 ha or 33.50%. Corn plants have a marginal suitable class (S3) with a limiting factor (wa, rc) covering an area of 1452.38 ha or 66.5% and for an unsuitable class (N) an area of 731.52 ha or 33.50%.
