Abstract

XYZ is a manufacturing company located in the city of Batam. most of the activities of employees at PT XYZ Batam are still carried out offline like new employees, where HRD still checks every application sent by candidates via email for staff and post office for non-staff. The impact on PT. XYZ is if you are still using the current manual system, all job applications that will not be used will pile up. Meanwhile, email messages that are received in large numbers will cause spam and take a long time to choose, therefore the author will create and design online recruitment based on an information web system using the Decision Support System (DSS) method that can help HRD in the recruitment process The Decision Support System used by the author is the Simple Additive Weighting method, also known as summation. This method automatically selects prospective employees who have submitted applications through a system that matches their work experience, study program, and skills. Thus, Simple Additive Weighting is the most appropriate method for decision making in employee recruitment

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in the IoT (Internet of Things) field gave rise to the idea to create a final project entitled Charging Prepaid KWH Meters Using a 2D Plotter. The problem to be solved in the final project is to overcome the problem in terms of filling the Prepaid KWH Meter which is still done manually by pressing the keypad directly on the Prepaid KWH Meter, this will be a problem if the position of the Prepaid KWH Meter is difficult to reach or out of reach of hands, the second is to avoid direct contact with the Prepaid KWH Meter keypad so as to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 virus that can lodge in inanimate objects such as the Prepaid KWH Meter keypad. This final project uses the ThingSpeak IoT platform as a place to store and retrieve data via an internet connection and use the Android application as a place to remotely and monitor the status of Prepaid KWH Meters. Based on the tests that have been carried out, the number of steps needed by the stepper motor in theory and practice at a distance of 14 mm on the X axis and 9 mm on the Y axis, the error percentage is 1.785%. When ThingSpeak sends token data to the NodeMCU ESP8266 which can be seen on the Arduino IDE serial monitor, the average delay is 23.19 seconds. And in application testing there are 3 status conditions, namely the first "WAITING" status occurs when the token data transmission process is in progress or the 2D Plotter is working, the second "ADA LISTRIK" status occurs when the sensor does not detect the buzzer sound on the Prepaid KWH Meter, which The third status “TOKEN MAU HABIS” occurs when the sensor detects a buzzer sound on the Prepaid KWH Meter. Abstract

Lo-Ra (Long Range) is a process of changing a certain periodic wave so that it becomes a signal capable of carrying information. LoRa technology offers a very attractive long term. Such as using low power and data transfer that is guaranteed security. Public networks that use LoRa networks will be able to provide a wider signal coverage. Compared to cellular networks in general, LoRa is a network that covers a wider range. Besides that, it is also easy to fit into the needs we need. This need is like any other electronic device that uses wireless installation. The making of this tool is a fire detector to reduce the impact of forest fires and has advantages over other tools, namely that many fire detection tools used do not meet criteria such as sending information that cannot reach long distances so that a tool that can solve this problem appears, namely Long Range ( LoRa), LoRa can anticipate lost GSM signal coverage. The purpose of this research is to detect and monitor the level of vulnerability to fire and provide information to officers in real time which will be displayed on the blynk. The results of this study obtained that this tool is able to detect forest fires up to a distance of 700 meters, if it exceeds that distance the reading will be error, this tool detects forest fires by reading the three sensors, if the three sensors have reached the threshold point, namely with a temperature sensor greater than 40 degrees Celsius, the humidity sensor value is less than 61%, and the smoke sensor value exceeds 2670 ppm, the tool will give a fire warning that will appear on the Blynk notification. at a distance of up to 700 m, the average delay for node 1 reaches 23.2 seconds and the average delay for node 2 reaches 54.5 seconds. And it can also be seen that the average percentage of temperature error obtained at node 1 reaches 4%, and the average error in humidity for node 1 reaches 6.4%, then the average percentage error temperature obtained at node 2 reaches 8.5%, and the average error at node 2 humidity reaches 18%.

Abstract

Polytechnic of Kampar is one of the universities in the palm oil sector in Indonesia. Every learning process will require an attendance. Attendance at the Polytechnic of Kampar is still using paper or manually. The drawbacks of attendance using paper are the possibility that the attendance book can be lost or scattered, the absence of attendance when the attendance book is lost, attendance uses a sheet of paper when the attendance book is lost, the number of paper uses, and so on. To overcome this, in this digital era, a lecturer attendance application was made using an QRcode based Android. This application is designed using Android Studio version 4.0, Code Igneter Framework and MySQL as a database. Hopefully, the application that is built can help overcome the shortcomings of attendance manually. After being tested, it can be seen that this application can solve problems in the manually attendance in Polytechnic of Kampar, so that in general this application can run as expected.

Abstract

Medan city is the third largest city in Indonesia, various tribes and ethnicities inhabit this city and have lived side by side from the past. So that the city of Medan has various kinds of relics that are used as tourist attractions. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a fall in the number of tourist visits and the lack of promotional facilities for potential tourists who will visit. The important circumstances of this condition prompted the research team to participate in Medan City Tourism Empowerment in the Era of Society 5.0 based on Virtual Reality during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to design a tourist attraction in the city of Medan to be based on Virtual Reality. as one of the efforts of researchers in developing new tourism concepts in the midst of a pandemic and as a form of promotion with different concepts. The research method used is a combination method. Qualitatively, data collection was done through literature study, observation, and interviews. While quantitatively, a survey was conducted by distributing questionnaires to determine the public's perception of the use of VR technology for tourism, especially in terms of designing Virtual Reality 3600, using the MDCL design model in building VR applications. The results of the application are then tested so that they can be used as VR-based tourism content in Medan city tourism.

Abstract

In this study, a virtual laboratory is used for Digital Electronics Practice courses which are carried out online. The research step begins with designing a virtual laboratory portal with Moodle E-Learning software to provide practice management services. The trial was carried out by running an online collaborative practice by applying the Breadboard Simulator and the TeamViewer application. The research subjects were 20 students of the Electrical Engineering Diploma III study program. The data collection instrument used a student perception questionnaire on the instructional aspect and a student perception questionnaire on the appearance of the learning model and ease of operation. Descriptive analysis was carried out using perception level criteria. The results showed that the virtual laboratory-based Digital System practice learning model had a positive perception of the instructor aspect, the learning model display aspect and ease of operation as well as increasing student motivation in carrying out practical activities.

Abstract

In the application of radar, it can be detected based on the radar cross section where RCS is used as a tool to reduce the value of the radar. RCS has four designs, one of which is Radar Absorbing Material. In this study, Barium M-Hexaferrite (BaM) was used as a magnetic material and a conductive polymer Polyaniline (PAni) as an electrical material. Barium M-Hexaferrite was used in this study with Cu doping which has a radius of 0.71 nm. Conductive Polymer Polyanilineis a material that is able to conduct electricity and can be used to protect electromagnetic waves generated from electricity. Both materials are coated with Jotun epoxy paint which will be applied to the black steel plate using the spary gun method. The research was shown at the nozzle distance (10, 15, 20 cm) and the composition of RAM(19.8, 1.76, 0.30 gr). The test used thicknesstest,hardness test, roughness test, and VNA test. From the data that has been obtained good absorption is known from the VNA test, namely at a nozzle distance of 20 cm with a reflection loss value of -5.6262db at an absorption frequency of 11.18 GHz andthe value of the composite composition of RAM is 0.30 gr with a reflection loss value of -5.6262 db.

Abstract

Radar or Radio Detection Ranging is a system of electromagnetic waves to detect and measure long distances. Stealth technology or technology systems that allow objects to be undetected by radar. One of them is Radar Absorbing Material (RAM), a material that has the ability to absorb electromagnetic waves. RAM consists of magnetic and dielectric materials. Barium M-Hexaferrite is used as a magnetic material while Polyaniline (PANi) is used as a dielectric material. Barium M-Hexaferrite synthesis material based on Cilacap Beach Iron Sand and Polyaniline Synthesis material by presenting DBSA. To engineer the magnetic properties of BaM, Cu doping was applied, with an ionic radius of 0.71 nm. BaM and PANi materials were mixed on the blacksteel plate using the spray gun method. The study showed the composition of a mixture of BaM and PANi coatings with a ratio of 26 gr vs 23.4 gr, 23.4 gr vs 26 gr and 15.6 gr vs 15.6 gr and variations in pressure (6.7,8 bar). The test characteristics used hardness test, roughness test, thickness test, and VNA test. In this test, the optimal absorption value from the VNA test was obtained, namely the composition of BaM PANi 23.4 gr vs 26 gr at a pressure of 8 bar with a reflection loss value of -4.6119 dB at a frequency of 11.22 GHz. Abstract

The use of information technology has become a necessity to support the smooth process of work and learning, one of which is at the Caltex Riau Polytechnic (PCR). PCR has various systems and websites that can be used by users. In general, these systems and websites are developed by different developers and have their own login authentication system. Single sign on is an authentication system for users that with just one login the user can access several websites without having to log back into other websites. Smart cards are used as a means of easy login for users. In this study, designing and implementing single sign on authentication with a smart card using the samba active directory. Based on the results of functionality testing, the average user success in logging in windows, wordpress and email in single sign on using a smart card is 100%. Based on the results of performance tests that have been carried out, the average server CPU usage is 35% and server memory usage is 22% in the 5 user tests. Client login requests and user authentication processes affect CPU usage. While the percentage of memory usage is stable because there is no user activity that burdened memory.

Abstract

The process of changing the power supply from PLN to generator or from generator to PLN automatically is a process called Automatic Transfer Switch. Controlling the device so that it can automatically be used with a microcontroller, namely Arduino Mega 2560. Arduino will drive control components such as relay modules, ZMPT101B, RTC DS3231 which become digital inputs and analog inputs. The purpose of making an Arduino-based Automatic Transfer Switch is to make a generator ignition system and control the transfer of the power supply automatically using a microcontroller. The purpose of making an automatic generator ignition system is so that users do not need to turn on and off the generator manually, in an automatic way that is controlled via Arduino. The purpose of making 1-phase generator automation with an Automatic Transfer Switch based on a microcontroller is to make it easier for users to turn on and turn off generators automatically and make it easier to transfer power supplies from PLN to generators or from generators to PLN.
