Abstract

The situation of COVID-19 which continues to increase has aroused fears for health crisis. Various prevention of thespreading of this virus can be managed with the help of a strong immune system. One way tomaintain and improve our immune system is by paying attention to the quality of nutritional intake that we consumed, as well as diet. In the Qur'an, Muslims are required to eat halal andthoyyib food. In order to do these obligations, Muslims are encouraged to consume nutritious food so as to do their daily activities well, such as praying. This study is a descriptive study with a cross sectional study. The number of samples in this study is 145 respondents. The sample is determined with a purposive sampling technique and calculated with the Slovin formula, with anerror tolerance of 5% for the '2019 students' who are active in the Faculty of Medicine, YarsiUniversity. The data are analyzed univariately in order to describe the data set in the form offrequency and type of food. The results of this study show that during the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the '2019 students' of the Yarsi University Faculty of Medicine have irregular nutritionalintake patterns (as many as 116 students - 80%) and poor nutritional quality (with an average of 62 students - 77.25%). This is not in accordance with what is recommended in the Qur'an andhadith. Further research is still necessary to explore the quantity of the students' nutritional intake during the COVID-19 pandemic, the changes in their eating behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic, the family food consumption patterns, etc.

Abstract

Abstract

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a kidney disease that progressively loses of function and results in failure. Decreased kidney function can be characterized by glomerular filtration rate (GFR) 60 ml/min/1.73m2, creatinine and urea levels that increase simultaneously. This disease has various etiologies, one of the highest causes is a history of type 2 diabetes mellitus, obesity and hypertension. Therapy that is done to overcome this disease can be pharmacological therapy and kidney replacement therapy, one of the renal replacement therapies is dialysis which is further divided into two, namely hemodialysis and CAPD (Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis). CAPD users in Indonesia have not been widely used and the purpose of this study was to assess the characteristics of CKD patients using CAPD based on the predictor score of dialysis inadequacy. The research method uses Cross Sectional. The research sample was CKD CAPD patients in Bekasi who had met the inclusion criteria from January - March 2022. Data collection for research from medical record books and filling out google forms by respondents. There were 45 CKD patients using CAPD in Bekasi as respondents, the majority of whom were male 60%, the most age ranged from 20-60 years 93.3%, the most comorbid hypertension was 35.6%, and the majority had undergone CAPD therapy for 1-3 year 48.89%. In the results of the bivariate analysis of the relationship between the profile of CKD patients and the predictor score of dialysis inadequacy, which had a strong bond were GFR and serum creatinine levels.

Abstract

Introduction: COVID-19 is an infectious disease, has transmission through droplets and direct contact. COVID-19 patients who have comorbidities show a poorer prognosis. Based on data in Indonesia, the two most common comorbidities are hypertension (49.9%) and diabetes mellitus (36.9%). Death rates in diabetes mellitus and hypertension are the two highest in Indonesia with 9.4% (DM) and 9.2% (hypertension). Therefore, it is important to know the correlation between a history of diabetes mellitus and hypertension with the length of stay for COVID-19 patients from a medical and Islamic perspective.Method: This type of research is analytic observational with a case control research design. The study sample was all COVID-19 patients with a history of hypertension and diabetes mellitus who were hospitalized at the UMMI Bogor Hospital during the period January - June 2021 as many as 263 respondents. Data collection uses secondary data in the form of medical records. The analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate.Result: The results showed that 20 people (7.6%) had comorbid diabetes mellitus with an average length of stay of 15 days. Respondents with comorbid hypertension were 39 people (14.8%) with an average length of stay of 15 days. Meanwhile, respondents with complex comorbidities (hypertension and DM) were 22 people (8.4%) with an average length of stay of 22 days. Based on the results of the bivariate analysis using the Kruskal Wallis alternative test and the Post Hoc Turkey HSD test, a p-value of 0.000 (0.05) was obtained, then the p-value was smaller which indicated that H0 was rejected, meaning that there was a significant relationship between comorbidities and length of stay. hospitalization of COVID-19 patients. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between a history of diabetes mellitus and hypertension with the length of stay of COVID-19 patients at Ummi Hospital, Bogor.

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a disease that is a big problem in the world. The results of a survey by the Indonesian Nephrology Association (PERNEFRI) estimated that around 12.5% of the Indonesian population had decreased kidney function. Currently, there are still many CKD patients who are not familiar with CAPD so that there is not much data regarding the description of CAPD satisfaction in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristics of CKD patients using CAPD therapy and the level of comfort and success in CAPD. The type of research method chosen is Cross Sectional, which is a form of descriptive study that aims to get an overview of the prevalence of a population. The population of this study were patients CKD who underwent CAPD at Hermina Hospital Bekasi from January to March 2022. Data analysis was carried out using univariate analysis. The results showed that 45 CKD patients using CAPD in Bekasi were some of the subjects, the majority of whom were male (60%), the most age ranged from 20-60 years (95.56%), the most comorbid was hypertension (35.6%), and the majority had undergone CAPD therapy for 1-3 years (48.89%). At the level of comfort in using CAPD, most of the respondents answered quite comfortable (53.3%) and 100% of the subjects would recommend the use of CAPD. Abstract

Abstract

Background: Cancer is one of the main killer diseases in the world. Cancer must be treated properly. The most common cancer treatment is chemotherapy. Cisplatin is one of the chemotherapy drugs used because of its wide efficacy for the treatment of various types of cancer. Side effects of cisplatin include ototoxicity, nephrotoxicity, hepatotoxicity, neurotoxicity and bone marrow depression. Therefore, there is a need for a solution that can reduce the side effects of cisplatin. One of the natural ingredients that can reduce the side effects of cisplatin is honey. Methods: This research is in the form of primary data, the data is taken directly by conducting an in vivo experiment. This study was divided into 4 groups, namely the untreated group, the cisplatin treatment group only, the cisplatin treatment group with 5% honey fermentation and the cisplatin treatment group with 10% honey fermentation. After that, HE staining was performed to see the histopathological picture of liver cells. Results: Fermentation of honey can reduce the size of congestion and hemorrhage from liver cells exposed to cisplatin. Conclusion: Fermented honey can protect the liver from the toxic effects of cisplatin exposure. In the view of Islam, treatment is one of the efforts in getting the gift of healing from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Islam and medicine agree on the importance of this research to support the goals of Islamic law, namely Maqashid Syari'iyah.
