Abstract

Legal protection for customary land in Papua, particularly West Papua, is a crucial issue reflecting the tension between state law and customary law. The transfer of customary land from customary law communities to agencies or corporations is a dispute that must be faced and is inevitable when faced with realities such as the massive granting of environmental permits, as happened to the Auwyu tribe in Boven Digoel Regency, South Papua Province. Although state law as regulated in Article 18B paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution, the Basic Agrarian Law, and Law Number 21 of 2001 concerning Special Autonomy for Papua Province has recognized the existence and rights of customary law communities, its implementation has not fully provided a guarantee of effective protection when juxtaposed with state law that allows customary land management for parties other than customary law communities. This study aims to analyze the form of legal protection for customary land and evaluate the mechanism for resolving customary land disputes in Boven Digoel Regency, West Papua Province for the Auwyu tribe from the perspective of legal pluralism. This study uses a socio-legal approach with a normative basis in the applicable state law that regulates customary law communities, customary land, and customary land dispute resolution, combined with empirical data on the settlement of customary land disputes of the Auwyu tribe. The theory of legal pluralism is used as a conceptual and critical analysis tool to assess the legal problems in the study.

Abstract

Introduction: Sexual violence against children in Indonesia has significantly increased, with 50.78% of children aged 13–17 years having experienced violence in their lifetime and 33.64% within the past 12 months (SNPHAR, 2024). This case highlights the crucial role of medical professionals in victim identification and protection. Methods: This study is a clinical descriptive case report of a 10-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted by a 60-year-old man in Serang Regency. Examinations included anamnesis, physical and genital assessment, visum et repertum, and coordination with the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA). Results: The victim presented with genital pain and white discharge. Examination revealed a thick annular hymen with abrasions at 4–9 o’clock direction, indicating a fresh lesion ±1 day after the assault. No anal injury was found. The victim complained of dysuria. The perpetrator previously gave the child Rp2,000–Rp10,000 as part of a grooming pattern. The victim’s general condition was stable (compos mentis, normal blood pressure, good nutritional status). Conclusion: This case emphasizes the importance of early detection, aseptic wound care, analgesic administration, hepatitis B and tetanus immunization, and psychological support. A trauma-informed and empathetic approach is essential for recovery and accurate forensic documentation to ensure justice for child sexual assault victims.

Abstract

In the face of growing competition from modern healthcare facilities offering advanced diagnostic technologies, efficient processes, and competitive pricing, Healthcare Facilty XYZ Surabaya must maintain and enhance service quality to meet customer expectations. Customer satisfaction remains a crucial factor for long-term success by ensuring loyalty and positive recommendations. This study aims to analyze the influence of the five HEALTHQUAL dimensions (Tangibility, Efficiency, Safety, Empathy, and Improvement of Service) on customer satisfaction in Healthcare Facility XYZ. The underlying phenomenon lies in the variation in patient perceptions, where some indicators—such as cleanliness, timeliness of results, and a sense of safety—are perceived as basic standards, while factors like staff competence, simple procedures, friendliness, waiting room comfort, and digital access to results serve as more decisive indicators of satisfaction. A quantitative approach was employed, involving validity and reliability testing, as well as analysis of variance (ANOVA) to identify dominant indicators and differences across customer segments. The findings reveal that waiting room comfort, uncomplicated procedures, medical staff competence, friendliness, and electronic access to results significantly affect customer satisfaction, while parking availability, timeliness of results, perceived safety, attention to comfort, and feedback requests are not significant. ANOVA results further highlight Safety and Improvement of Service as the main dimensions contributing to satisfaction, although their effects vary across segments. These results suggest a need for adaptive health service strategies that prioritize patient safety and service innovation to achieve optimal satisfaction.

Abstract

The impact of personal branding can be seen when individuals market their self-worth to stand out among competitors, especially through social media as a tool to build a strong image. One public figure who exemplifies effective personal branding is Taylor Swift, a globally influential musician. Known as both a songwriter and singer, as of 2025 she has released twelve albums, each representing a unique era and rebranding concept. Swift consistently reinvents herself by shifting music genres—from country and pop to goth punk and indie folk—while also transforming her visual identity to match each album’s theme. Her lyrical storytelling deeply connects with audiences, evoking strong emotional responses. Moreover, Swift effectively utilizes her social media platforms to strengthen her professional reputation and engage directly with fans. Her Instagram account, for instance, maintains an impressive engagement rate of 2.93%, reflecting a strong and positive audience connection. She also leverages User Generated Content (UGC) strategies, such as initiating dance challenges, to enhance interaction and fan participation. This research applies the Criteria for Effective Authentic Personal Branding by Hubert K. Rampersad and the 3C Model (Credibility, Consistency, Clarity) developed by Avinash Pawar. The findings reveal several dominant elements of Taylor Swift’s personal branding—namely consistency, authority, relevance, goodwill, and performance. Through her strategic self-presentation and creative evolution, Taylor Swift successfully showcases her authenticity and musical excellence, reinforcing her unique identity and long-term influence in the global music industry.

Abstract

This study aims to develop tourism destination attributes for Marlina Group in Lemahsugih, Majalengka, to enhance customer intention to visit. The research applies a mixed-method approach combining qualitative exploration and quantitative validation. Qualitative data were collected through in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including tourism practitioners, government representatives, and the Marlina Group management, to identify gaps and opportunities across six tourism destination attributes: Accessibility, Attraction, Activities, Available Packages, Ancillary Services, and Amenities (6A). Quantitative data were obtained from 376 respondents through structured questionnaires, and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to test the relationships between these attributes and intention to visit. The findings reveal that Accessibility, Attractions, and Activities are the most influential factors in shaping tourist intention to visit, while Ancillary Services, Amenities and Available Packages play supporting roles than being primary drivers. The study contributes both theoretically, by extending tourism destination attribute frameworks in the context of rural tourism, and practically, by providing Marlina Group with a structured strategy to transform Lemahsugih from a supporting agro-tourism area into a competitive rural tourism destination

Abstract

The aim of the research was to observe the extent to which motivation, discipline, and job satisfaction affect employee job performance at the Secretariat of State for Transport, Equipment, and Communications in Dili. Data was collected using a questionnaire method that was delivered to 50 respondents, while only 45 respondents from the Secretariat of State for Transport, Equipment and Communications in Dili were obtained using the saturation sampling technique, in which all elements of the population became the sample. Data was processed using multiple regression. The results showed that there is a positive and significant effect of motivation on job performance, while the discipline variable does not have a significant effect on job performance because employees' job discipline tends to be more rule-based than awareness-based. Furthermore, the researcher examined the hypothesis that job satisfaction has a positive effect on employee performance. The determination coefficient (R²) provides a significant contribution to job performance. Job performance influenced by other factors accounts for one-third of total job performance. The results indicate that Fcountand Ftablestate that there is an acceptable effect between the variables of motivation, discipline, and job satisfaction on job performance. According to the research limitations, future researchers who conduct similar research should use more samples and determine performance that is appropriate to the standards set by an organization.

Abstract

Polyps are masses that project into the gastrointestinal tract, common in childhood, affecting about 1% of preschool and school-age children. They are the leading cause of rectal bleeding in children aged 2 to 5. Adenomatous polyps, found in less than 3% of children with polyps, are often discovered incidentally. In this case, they were found alongside midgut malrotation volvulus, diagnosed late. An 8-year-old boy presented with worsening abdominal pain over the last month, which was intermittent and position-dependent. The pain was accompanied by explosive diarrhea, bloating, and a sensation of water moving in the abdomen when changing position. He also experienced daily vomiting, nausea, and a decrease in appetite. During treatment evaluation, midgut malrotation volvulus was detected along with familial adenomatous polyposis in the small intestine and colon. Early detection could have improved the prognosis, which is better when identified sooner. Once histopathology results are available, it will be determined if chemoprevention is necessary or if regular check-ups are sufficient.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Brand Awareness and Perceived Quality on the loyalty of Zahir Accounting Online users, with satisfaction as a mediating variable. The background of this study refers to the importance of building loyalty in an increasingly competitive digital accounting software market, where Brand Awareness and perceived quality are major factors in consumer decisions. The research uses a quantitative method with Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis, based on data from 60 respondents who are users of Zahir Accounting Online. The results show that Brand Awareness and Perceived Quality have a positive and significant effect on loyalty, and user satisfaction partially mediates this relationship. The R² value of 0.657 indicates that this model can explain 65.7% of user loyalty variance, indicating strong predictive power. These findings support Aaker's theory on the role of Brand Awareness and Perceived Quality in brand equity, as well as Oliver's theory on satisfaction as a link to consumer loyalty. This study emphasizes the importance of strategies to increase brand awareness, service quality, and user satisfaction as keys to maintaining the loyalty of digital accounting application users.

Abstract

Taxation is one of the sources of state revenue that greatly affects economic growth. However, major challenges arise due to tax evasion practices carried out by taxpayers illegally, thereby reducing the potential for state revenue. This phenomenon not only has an impact on weakening the country's fiscal capacity, but also hinders the pace of economic growth nationally. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the relationship between tax evasion, economic growth, and economic intelligence. Economic Intelligence is one of the approaches to economic resilience that can be a solution in infrastructure and prevention rather than recovering after tax evasion has occurred. This study uses a systematic literature review approach from previous research taken from summon discovery results found 493 previous studies then after being selected for the last 10 years and found that there are 29 previous studies that are suitable for this topic. The results of this study show that the majority of studies find a negative relationship between tax evasion and economic growth, while an approach based on economic intelligence by integrating technologies such as machine learning, blockchain, and big data analytics has proven to be effective in reducing tax evasion rates.
