Abstract

Celery (Apium graveolens) has a high economic value because it is widely used as a food ingredient, cooking spice, and even herbal medicine. However, sometimes the cultivation of this plant faces various challenges, especially diseases and pests that can reduce its quality and yield. This study aims to develop an expert system based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) with a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) approach to help diagnose plant diseases quickly and accurately. This research was conducted using the Extreme Programming development method. The research methodology includes identifying celery cultivation problems, collecting data from experts regarding various symptoms, celery diseases, and effective treatments, and developing RAG using Transformer-based embedding techniques that have proven effective in capturing context and relationships between words. This system uses forward chaining reasoning to ensure that the solutions provided are generated through an inference process from initial facts such as symptoms to reach appropriate conclusions. These results show that this system is able to identify disease symptoms from user text input with 97.14% accuracy and provide relevant solutions. Equipped with speech-to-text, text-to-speech features, as well as the ability to copy answer results and delete conversation history to make it easier for users.

Abstract

The Digital Business Study Program at Banyuwangi State Polytechnic aims to equip Development of an Information System for the Digital Business Study Program Using Laravel Framework and Rapid Application Development (RAD) Approach This study aims to enhance the documentation and sustainability of the Digital Business Study Program at Politeknik Negeri Banyuwangi through the development of a Laravel-based information system, replacing the previous WordPress platform. The new system is designed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach to ensure swift, flexible, and stakeholder-oriented development. Black-box testing indicates that the system successfully manages login processes, user data, and content with a 100% success rate. The system implementation results in a 25% improvement in data integrity, a 30% reduction in processing time for managing news and curriculum, and an 85% increase in user satisfaction based on a survey of 50 respondents, including students and lecturers. The primary contribution of this study is the introduction of the RAD approach in the context of academic information system development, which can serve as a reference for similar systems in other educational institutions. The system not only provides comprehensive information on curriculum, program activities, new student admissions, student achievements, and news but also fosters greater public engagement with the Digital Business Study Program through a responsive and user-friendly interface.

Abstract

The impact of drug abuse can be devastating, including individual and community health. Various efforts have been made and coordinated with government agencies, law enforcement, communities and others. One of them is by classifying drug distribution areas to suppress the decline in drug abuse cases. This study tested 26 sub-districts in Klaten district, Central Java in 2022. The classification process is done by implementing the K-Nearest Neighbors method integrated with Google Colab and Python programming. The KNN method was chosen because it can assign categories or labels to new data based on the majority of its nearest neighbors in a predefined attribute space. The conclusion obtained is that the system can classify as many as 7 sub-districts with the status of Very Prone areas, 15 sub-districts with the status of Prone, and 7 sub-districts with the status of Not Prone Tests conducted with the KNN method with confusion matrix resulted in an accuracy of 100%, %, Precision 100%, recall 100% and f1-Score of 100% and an average accuracy of 70.5%. The high accuracy value shows that this research has successfully applied the KNN method in classifying drug-prone areas in Klaten district. Relevant agencies such as Klaten District Police can adjust the program dynamically to monitor areas that have been classified as drug-prone and conduct faster follow-up.

Abstract

Digital transformation is an urgent need for companies to remain relevant and competitive in the digital era. This research aims to develop a prototype website design that supports PT Lokabyte Digital Innovations digital transformation strategy. Using high fidelity and prototyping methods, this research processes an interactive platform that is close to the final product, providing an opportunity for users to test functionality and usability in depth before full implementation. Data was collected through semi-structured interview and questionnaires with twenty respondents, who evaluated the visual appearance, navigation, interface consistency, and system efficiency. The test results showed that the usability result of 96%, success rate of 100% and time-based efficiency of 100% proved that the prototype design met the users’ needs, while constructive criticism was identified on the efficiency aspect of the system. These findings provide a foundation for PT Lokabyte Digital Innovations to develop a website that not only supports digital transformation, but also enhances the company’s competitiveness in the evolving market.

Abstract

SMPN 3 Genteng faces challenges in providing information that is easy to understand and visually appealing to users. The current website has a disorganized layout, making it difficult for users to find information about school services. An evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) revealed a usability score of 41.58, rated as "Awful." Based on this evaluation, a redesign of the User Interface and User Experience (UI/UX) using the Design Thinking method was necessary. The redesign process was carried out through five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The solutions developed included improving the layout, enhancing the functionality of the menu, and creating a new prototype. This prototype was then evaluated using the SUS method, resulting in a score of 82 with a "Good" rating, indicating a significant improvement in the website's interface. The goal of this research was to enhance the usability and user experience (UI/UX) so that information about school services can be accessed more efficiently and pleasantly. The results show that the redesign successfully met user needs and improved their interaction with the school's website.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a promotional website for PT. Sejahtera Dunia Akhirat's Limawaktu branch, an electronics store. The background of this research is the Limawaktu branch's need to transform their static website into a dynamic one to enhance user experience and the effectiveness of their online product promotions. The RAD (Rapid Application Development) method was chosen for this project due to its suitability for fast and iterative product development. The promotional website developed includes features for both customers and the admin side. After the website was developed, functionality testing was conducted using the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) method. The development results showed that out of 43 test cases, 41 were successful (95.35%) and 2 failed (4.65%). The system's success in meeting user needs reached 95.35%, indicating that the developed promotional website effectively improves the marketing and stock control for the Limawaktu store. The conclusion of this study is that the use of the RAD method in developing promotional websites is proven effective in producing systems that meet specific user needs.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology in the digital era has had a significant impact on various aspects of people's lives, including the property industry. However, PT Total Property still uses a conventional approach in its business management, relying on traditional methods and brochure distribution for property information dissemination. This approach poses challenges in operational efficiency and information accessibility for consumers. In response to these challenges, this research aims to develop an API-based backend information system to digitize PT Total Property's business operations. Using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method with a qualitative case study approach, the research involved interviews and literature study. The development process includes requirements planning, user design, construction, and implementation. As a result, a REST API was successfully developed using the Laravel framework as the backend, improving the efficiency of data management and information access. Blackbox testing shows all functions work well. The REST API is ready to be integrated with the frontend for further development and get wider feedback for future quality and performance improvement.

Abstract

This research discusses the development of a frontend property marketing information system at PT. Total Property, with a focus on developing features so that the system can compete and provide convenience to customers. This research is driven by the need to improve user experience and company competitiveness in an increasingly competitive property industry. The method used is the User-Based Design (UCD) Method, which emphasizes in-depth understanding of user needs and implementation of new features based on user feedback. The KPR feature is specifically integrated to increase convenience and clarity of information for customers looking for property financing. Test results using the Usability Scale (SUS) show a score of 85.4, indicating that users consider this system to be very easy to use and efficient. The implication of this research is the importance of integrating user-focused frontend development to increase company competitiveness in facing dynamic market challenges. In conclusion, developing a property marketing information system with innovative features such as KPR not only improves customer experience but also increases operational efficiency and competitiveness of PT. Total Property in a competitive property market.

Abstract

Digital transformation demands that companies implement data storage systems that are flexible, secure, and accessible from various locations. This study aims to design a cloud storage procurement strategy for PT Lokabyte Digital Innovations using a SWOT analysis approach. The method applied is descriptive qualitative, involving data collection through system observation, internal interviews, and literature review. The analysis reveals that the company has strengths in adaptability and team creativity, but faces weaknesses in unstandardized data storage infrastructure. There are opportunities in digitalization and remote work, although risks related to data security and third-party dependence persist. Based on these findings, three strategic alternatives are recommended: Google Drive (public cloud), NAS (private cloud), and a hybrid combination of both. These alternatives are presented equally, allowing the company to select based on its resources and growth trajectory. The study is expected to serve as a strategic reference in supporting digital transformation in emerging digital enterprises.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease with increasing prevalence worldwide, including in Indonesia. Early detection and accurate diagnosis are crucial to prevent serious complications. This research aims to design a web-based expert system using the Naive Bayes algorithm to predict the diagnosis of diabetes. The Naive Bayes algorithm was chosen for its ability to process data quickly and produce accurate predictions despite its simple assumptions. The research method used is the Waterfall method, which includes the stages of analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance. This system is designed to assist the public in detecting the risk of diabetes based on entered symptoms and medical data. The evaluation results of the expert system for diagnosing diabetes by applying the Naive Bayes algorithm through testing on 35 patient datasets showed results consistent with the level of expertise obtained from whitebox and blackbox system testing. This system is expected to be an effective tool for medical professionals and the general public in making early diagnoses of diabetes. The conclusion of this research is that a Naive Bayes-based expert system can provide accurate and fast predictions, thereby improving the quality of healthcare services.
