Abstract

Abstract Based on the 2013 Curriculum, Indonesian language learning in SMP is text-based. During this pandemic, learning various texts should take advantage of existing technology with teaching materials in the form of multimodal texts. This study aims to describe the use of multimodal text as an innovation in Indonesian language learning materials in junior high schools and the implementation of learning. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, documents, and audiovisual materials. Observation and document techniques were used to observe and document the textbooks used in Indonesian language learning for grade VIII SMP, both from offline and online data. Audiovisual techniques to collect data in the form of multimodal text sourced from the internet and social media. The data validity used data triangulation techniques, researchers, methods, and theories. The data analysis technique was done by reducing the data, presenting the data, and concluding. The results showed that multimodal text learning as an innovation in Indonesian language learning materials in class VIII SMP was beneficial for students to improve their literacy competencies in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. In addition, it can also introduce students to types of text that are broader, more eye-catching, and less saturating. Students and teachers can explore these materials from the internet or social media in accordance with the teaching material. The teacher must prepare a good and appropriate lesson plan and scenario. Abstract

Abstract Indonesian that taught as the foreign language in BIPA (Indonesian for Foreigners) classes and its authenticity are inseparable. Authenticity is related to the originality. In the context of BIPA learning, the authenticity can be presented in class activities related to contexts and real experiences, for examples students are asked to shop at the market, practice to bargain, practice to use public transportations, practice how to introduce themselves, interview native speakers, and many other authentic tasks. However, what makes it challenging today is that BIPA students cannot come directly to Indonesia and the learning process should be conducted online. Nonetheless, the authenticity can be still presented in authentic texts, not only in written but also in spoken. In addition, texts have complete thinking structures and understandings. Before presenting them in the class, teachers should understand the texts, situation context, culture context, authenticity, and types of text. The author also analyzes Graduate Competency Standards (SKL) of BIPA to identify types of text based on student’s level. Abstract

Abstract Writing poetry is an activity to develop literary skills that requires a creative thinking process. Through writing poetry activities, students will be able to develop ideas, feelings, and thoughts to produce beautiful language symbols. Writing poetry is included in creative writing. In writing poetry, one cannot immediately write poetry but must go through several processes, one of which is continuous learning. One of the techniques used in learning to write new poetry is modeling techniques. This technique was chosen to assist students in learning to write poetry by using models in the form of poetry texts. With the existence of models and examples that can be imitated, it will be a new innovation in learning poetry and can help overcome students' difficulties in writing poetry. Abstract

Abstrak Hasil observasi dan wawancara ditemukan kendala pada KD resensi. Terbukti dari hasil meresensi siswa yang berbeda dan kurangnya penguasaan kemampuan menulis resensi. Permasalahan lain yang ditemukan adalah kurangnya pembahasan mengenai PLH. Namun, belum adanya media pembelajaran yang mendukung visi misi dari sekolah. Multimedia dikolaborasikan dengan literasi memiliki tujuan untuk membantu siswa dalam peningkatan daya kritis dan aktif. Selama kegiatan pembelajaran literasi yang dilakukan di sekolah siswa masih kurang mengikuti langkah literasi dengan benar. Dari pengembangan media ini akan menjawab rumusan masalah dan tujuan yang berhubungan dengan kelayakan isi, bahasa, dan sistematika penyajian. Penelitian ini berjenis pengembangan menggunakan metode ADDIE. Hasil penelitian ini (1) aspek kelayakan isi, tujuan pembelajaran ditampilkan serta disesuaikan dengan literasi. (2) aspek kelayakan bahasa, setiap bacaan paragraf bertemakan PLH serta menggunakan kalimat efektif dan disusun menggunakan diksi sesuai tema PLH, (3) aspek kelayakan sistematika penyajian, pemilihan warna lebih berfariatif, penambahan petunjuk, dan jenis ukuran gambar, (4) praktisi, pengecekan penulisan ejaan pada kalimat dan paragraf, (5) uji coba skala kecil dan besar, materi sudah lengkap.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikassi kesalahan penggunaan afiksassi dalam penulisan teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII MTsN 1 Tulungagung dan mengidentifikasi penggunaan kata depan dalam penulisan teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII MTsN 1 Tulungagung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskripsi kualitatif. Sumber data berasal dari hasil karya siswa yaitu teks deskripsi. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang dilakukan dengan membaca secara keseluruhan teks deskripsi yang menjadi objek penelitian, menganalisis kesalahan afiksasi dan kata depan dalam teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII MTs Negeri 1 Tulunagung. Hasil analisis bentuk kesalahan penggunaan afiksasi dan kata depan dalam teks deskripsi siswa bahwa terjadi kesalahan 2 bagian dari afiksasi dan 2 bagian dari kata depan. Penggunaan kesalahan prefiks 19 kesalahan dan penggunaan kesalahan sufiks 4 kesalahan. Kesalahan penggunaan kata depan “di” 41 kesalahan dan kesalahan kata depan “ke” 3 kesalahan.

Abstract

Abstract The literacy movement should be promoted in the education unit. This is due to the low level of literacy activities, especially students. This study aims to determine the role of Indonesian teachers in the literacy movement and the results of the application of the State Islamic Junior High School Literacy Movement in Trenggalek Regency. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data source is gained from State Islamic Junior High School Indonesian teachers in Trenggalek Regency. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interview and documentation. The results showed that the majority of State Islamic Junior High School Indonesian teachers in Trenggalek Regency had played an active role in the literacy movement and had met the criteria as the pioneers of the literacy movement in their respective institutions. As a good example, Indonesian teachers have a very important contribution in the literacy movement. Although in its application there are also challenges that require Indonesian teachers to find solutions to continue developing literacy to be better in its implementation.

Abstract

Abstrak Kesantunan berbahasa merupakan cara orang untuk menghormati orang lain dalam berinteraksi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) wujud pematuhan kesantunan berbahasa Indonesia siswa di MTs Darul Huda Wonodadi Blitar; (2) wujud pelanggaran kesantunan berbahasa siswa di MTs Darul Huda Wonodadi Blitar; dan (3) strategi pembiasaan karakter komunikatif siswa melalui pembelajaran kesantunan berbahasa siswa di MTs Darul Huda Wonodadi Blitar. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi sambil melakukan simak, libat, catat. Data dianalisis dengan model interaktif yang diadopsi dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesantunan berbahasa di MTs Darul Huda masih rendah. Hal ini diketahui dari jumlah maksim pematuhan kesantunan berbahasa yang berjumlah tiga maksim, yakni maksim kebijaksanaan, maksim kedermawanan, dan maksim kesimpatian. Sementara pelanggaran kesantunan berbahasa yang dilakukan terdapat lima maksim yaitu maksim kebijaksanaan, maksim kedermawanan, maksim penghargaan, maksim pemufakatan, dan maksim kesimpatian. Adapun strategi yang diterapkan oleh guru menggunakan teknik teguran, yakni siswa yang diketahui melanggar kesantunan berbahasa dinasehati agar berbahasa dengan santun.

Abstract

Abstract Children's literature is literature that is made by children or adults and is aimed at children. The use of light sentences in children's literature makes it easier for children's literature to be absorbed and accepted by children. In children's literature there are also many social values ​​such as cooperation, love to help, love, like to pray for others, and say the words please and thank you. Children's literature can be used as a medium for the introduction of social values ​​because apart from being easy to convey, children's literature is very interesting to discuss with children. Social values ​​in children's literature can be used as learning and later applied by children in their lives. This article aims to introduce social values ​​through the medium of children's literature.

Abstract

Abstract As a literary work, short stories have a useful value for the reader. The positive values ​​contained in a short story can be used as an alternative media to develop student character. The objectives of this study were (1) to describe the advantages of short stories from the aspect of the theme, (2) the use of language, (3) background, and (4) moral messages. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The method used is the method of content analysis (content analysis). The data in this study are the sentences in the short story Anak Sweep Jalan. The instrument used in this study was the classification table. The result of this research is the exposure to the advantages of short stories which is the reason this short story was chosen as an implementation of student character development.

Abstract

Drama learning in grade VIII of Junior High School obtains several problems. These problems include students who are less active in participating in learning, intake of students in understanding drama material is low, and the learning media used are less varied. Therefore, teacher creativity is really needed, especially in presenting interesting and effective learning media. Based on that, this article is to study the media design for drama texts learning called "Cici Drama" (Laci Tujuh Kunci Drama). The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The objectives of this study include describing the media, the criteria for selecting media, how to make media, how to use them in the classroom, and their strengths and weaknesses. The results showed that the appearance of "Cici Drama Media" had the right visuals and contents to achieve the goals of drama text learning in grade VIII. The way to make the media is relatively easy and does not require large costs. The way to use the media in the class tends to be easy and does not require special skills. For its weakness, this media requires any development by adding a slot on the right side of the main body for use in large classrooms.
