Abstract

Literature learning is an important part of learning that must be taught to students. Literature can provide benefits and form a good personality in students. This writing aims to find out the benefits of enriching literary learning materials through local culture which in this case is the traditional symbolism of nyadran. From this writing, the concept of symbolism of the nyadran tradition is found, namely for individuals which include the values of 1) willing to sacrifice, 2) responsibility, 3) obedience, and social meaning which includes the values of 1) mutual cooperation, 2) mutual respect. From this it is expected that students are able to have this attitude and have a superior personality. Thus, it can be concluded that the enrichment of literary learning materials through local culture needs to be done.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the suitability of Hikayat Indarjaya as a supplement to fantasy story material and describe the implementation of Hikayat Indarjaya in teaching fantasy stories for class VII SMP/MTs. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative research. The data source was Hikayat Indarjaya, the result of a study published in 1995. The instruments used to collect data were data codification guidelines, data collection rubrics, and data analysis rubrics. The results of this study state that Hikayat Indajaya corresponds to the characteristics of fantasy stories, namely (1) there are magical, mysterious, or strange events, (2) open story ideas, (3) using various settings in places and times, (4) has a unique character, (5) fictitious, and (6) the use of language. Students can be given this hikayat material to strengthen understanding and be used as a supplement to fantasy story text material either through pupuh or script summaries.

Abstract

Literary works are divided into three types, namely prose, poetry, and drama. Prose consists of two types, namely novels and short stories. This literary work called a novel is a type of writing that is very popular. The novel Islammu adalah Maharku by Ario Muhammad, PhD, is a novel that tells about the conflicts of life that are packed with islamic nuances in every problem solving. This research aims to describe the values ​​of character education in the novel Islammu adalah Maharku by Ario Muhammad, PhD. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection was carried out using thesee method with the read-note technique. The character education values contained in novel entitled Islammu adalah Maharku by Ario Muhammad, PhD including 1) religious, 2) honest, 3) responsible, 4) disciplined, 5) hardwork, 6) independent, 7) friendly and communicative, 8) care, 9) tolerance, 10) curiosity, 11) love to read, 12) appreciate achievement. By reading novel Islammu adalah Maharku, student will get several benefits, one of which is that can enjoy interesting stories that contain many lessons about life.

Abstract

Language errors are the symptoms that cannot be separated from language learning. Language errors are often found in the description text of students' works. This research aims to describe the errors in writing Indonesian language spelling in a collection of descriptive text works by grade VII students of SMP Negeri 14 Surakarta. This research is a descriptive research which uses a qualitative approach. The data sources for this research are 12 descriptive texts by grade VII students of SMP Negeri 14 Surakarta. The data in this research are spelling errors in 12 student description texts. Data collection uses documentation techniques. This research is carried out with the steps of (1) collecting sample data sources; (2) analyzing data and finding spelling errors in data sources; (3) classifying errors; (4) describing spelling errors in the data; (5) evaluating errors and finding corrections. The results show that there are 108 spelling errors in the descriptive text of the students' works at SMP Negeri 14 Surakarta. These spelling errors include errors in writing capital letters, writing prepositions, writing abbreviations, writing punctuation, writing repeated words, and writing affixes.

Abstract

Language occupies a very crucial role for humans in this life, especially in terms of communication with other humans. One of the language skills used to communicate indirectly is writing skill. In the world of writing, writing mistakes have become a natural thing. Therefore, this study aims to improve and describe various errors in the Indonesian language at the phonological and morphological levels in the story synopsis text by students of class V SD Negeri Menuran 03. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data source in this study came from written data in the form of story synopsis text results, while the data collection technique used was reading and note-taking techniques. The results of this study indicated that there were 45 language errors at the phonological and morphological levels. At the phonological level (adding phonemes, changing phonemes, and removing phonemes) there were 30 errors or 66.7%, while at the morphological level (affixation and reduplication) there were 15 errors or 33.3%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the meaning of adverbs in cooking guide books. Descriptive qualitative method is the method used in this study. The data source for this research is a cooking guide book entitled “Solo Traditional Culinary which is Rare”. In addition, the data of this study are procedural sentences containing adverbial meanings. Data analysis uses matching and distribution methods. The results of this study state that the cooking guide book entitled “Solo Traditional Culinary which is Rare” contains several adverbial meanings along with the amount of data found: the meaning of 'time': until (33), to (2), when (1), after (3), during (4), approximately (1), approximately (1); meaning of 'place': from (1), in (10), to (8), in (5), on (9); meaning of 'tool': with (17); the meaning of 'way': with (4); meaning of 'conditions': if (5); the meaning of 'purpose': in order to (3); the meaning of 'inclusion': while (4), along with (5); and the meaning of 'as a result': so (1). By finding some of these adverbial meanings, it can be used as teaching material for the procedural text of Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

The aims of this research are (1) to describe the social criticism contained in the film Miskin Susah Kaya Susah, (2) to describe its relevance to learning Indonesian in high school. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data source comes from the film Poor Susah Rich Susah. Data collection techniques using observation and note-taking techniques. The results of the research show that there are four social criticisms which cover the problems of poverty, population, education, and morals. In addition, the film Miskin Susah Kaya Susah can be used as Indonesian language learning material in SMA Class X1 even semester at KD 3.19 to analyze the content and language of the drama or film that is read or watched. From this it proves that there is relevance to the use of film media for learning Indonesian. The benefits that students get from analyzing social criticism in films are developing sensitivity to problems that occur in their environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the social value of the novel Dua Garis Biru by Lucia Priandarini. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with data analysis techniques. The results of this study are 82 findings consisting of the value of compassion, the value of helping, religious values, the value of caring, the value of togetherness, the value of responsibility, and the value of forgiveness. Based on the social values ​​in the novel Dua Garis Biru by Lucia Priandarini, there are seven social values, including: the value of affection 23.17%, the value of helping 6.09%, the value of religious 7.31%, the value of caring 34.14%, the value of togetherness 9.75%, the value of responsibility 12.5%, and the value of forgiving each other 7.31%. In these finding, the dominant social value in Lucia Priandarini's novel Dua Garis Biru is the value of caring.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the language errors made by BIPA speakers on Sarah Johnson's YouTube channel. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was carried out by looking at two videos on Sara Johnson's YouTube channel and then transcribing the recordings into writing. The analysis are carried out by reducing data, presenting data, and concluding research results. The aims of this research are (1) to describe errors in Indonesian pronunciation. In Indonesian pronunciation errors, 3 types of errors were found caused by phoneme changes, 2 forms of errors caused by adding and subtracting phonemes, and 2 forms of errors caused by pausing errors; (2) describe errors in the formation of Indonesian words. In the errors in the formation of Indonesian words, 6 forms of errors were found in the use of affixes, and 4 forms of errors in the choice of words; (3) errors in sentence construction in Indonesian. In the errors in the preparation of Indonesian sentences, 1 form of language error was found which was caused by ambiguity in the sentence, so that overall 18 forms of Indonesian language errors were found in this study. Errors in spoken language on the YouTube account "Sarah Johnson" are caused by errors or errors experienced by Sarah Johnson. This error is also caused by the influence of the mother tongue (interlingual) and also the lack of understanding and complexity of the second language that is less mastered (intralingual).

Abstract

The learning method is an important part of the learning component. The selection of the right learning method can support the maximum achievement of learning objectives. Learning methods must continue to innovate so that it is not monotonous and boring for students. The Action Collaboration Visualization Method (ViKA) is one of the innovative and creative Indonesian language learning methods. The ViKA method is used in learning to listen to news texts for class VIII. The aims of this study are (1) to describe the Visualization of Collaborative Action (ViKA) method, (2) to describe the preparation for the application of the ViKA method in learning to listen to news texts for class VIII, (3) to describe the steps in applying the ViKA method in learning to listen to news texts for class VIII, (4) describe the advantages and disadvantages of the ViKA method. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The main data source in this research is the ViKA learning method. The research instrument used was student worksheets related to news text elements. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques. This study uses descriptive data analysis techniques in the form of an explanation of the ViKA learning method. The subjects in this study were 15 grade VIII students. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in the results of student worksheets before and after the ViKA method is applied. Student worksheet results have increased after the ViKA method was applied. An abstract must be in English, consists of 150-250 words length, and contains at least: general theme of the article, focus, question, method, and general argument or main finding.
