The objectives of this study are: (1) to develop a textbook for the subject of writing skills based on an integrative approach, (2) to conduct a formative evaluation on the use of the textbook developed at Arabic Teaching Department at Raden Fatah Islamic State University in Palembang. The research method used is R&D research with Borg and Gall models and the instructional design models based on the Dick and Carry system adapted and modified by the researcher. The methods used to collect data are questionnaires, documentation, interview, pre-test, post-test, and comparing the results of the two tests using the SPSS calculation system. The results of the study comprise the following: (1) The textbook product of writing skills based on an integrative approach includes ten chapters, and each chapter contains five integrated materials: (a) reading; (b) dictation; (c) morphology, (d) grammar, and (e) writing skill. (2) Formative evaluations state that the results of the small group experiments indicate the higher scores of the participants' learning outcomes that show that the post-test deviations of 3.2 and the deviations of the pre-test of 2.9 means that the mean of 88.2 shows an improvement compared to the results of the pre-test which is 65.4, which means that there is an improvement of the learning abilities of the trial participants in the small groups.

This study aims to discuss patriarchal culture in the lower middle class society in the view of Simone de Beauvoir's existentialist feminism. This study uses a qualitative approach by applying a descriptive-analytical method. The formal object of this research is Simone de Beauvoir's existentialist feminism, while the material object is patriarchal culture. The scope of research is the lower middle class society. The results and discussion in this study indicate that patriarchal culture is formed from social construction from time to time. This research concludes that there is no impossibility for us to fight for justice and rights and tear down the thick patriarchal culture in our society.

This study aims to examine Epicuros' hedonistic ethics regarding self-control in the pleasures of life towards the phenomenon of adolescent lifestyle. This study answers the formulation of the problem about how to avoid and find solutions from the influence of self-regulation and a culture of hedonism on promiscuity among adolescents. A qualitative approach is used in this study and then the ethical theory of hedonism is used as a tool to analyze the phenomenon of this lifestyle action, because Epicurus' ethical theory of hedonism mostly discusses how humans should acquire and respond to the pleasures of life. The results of the research and discussion show that the motives of teenagers to have fun are to avoid stress, feelings of anxiety, and to get rid of feelings that disturb their peace. This study concludes that the lifestyle for fun among adolescents has an impact on not having a good learning ethic. So this fact requires serious handling to ensure a bright future for teenagers in Indonesia.

This study aims to discuss sport and the identity analysis philosophy of Jean-Paul Sartre. This study uses a qualitative approach by applying a descriptive-philosophical method. The formal object of this research is the philosophical theory of Jean-Paul Sartre, while the material object is sport and identity. The results and discussion in this study indicate that in the perspective of Sartre's philosophy, individual freedom is a central concept. Humans are born without a predetermined essence or purpose, and so have absolute freedom to determine the meaning and direction of their lives. A person has the freedom to choose to exercise or not exercise, and that choice reflects personal will and values. In choosing a particular sport, one takes full responsibility for that choice and must face the consequences. This study concludes that sport is an important vehicle in forming individual identity, which is based on the choices, actions, freedoms, and interactions that occur within it.

This study aims to discuss introverted attitudes in the view of stoicism philosophy. This study uses a qualitative approach by applying the method of library research (library research). The formal object of this study is the stoicism of Marcus Aurelius, while the material object is introverted behavior. The results and discussion in this study indicate that Marcus Aurelius' stoicism philosophy emphasizes that humans must "live in harmony with nature" which prioritizes reason and rationality. Introversion is a character or trait that is closed, shy, always cornered, looks less sociable so tends to be alone. Someone who tends to have an introverted attitude mostly prefers not to be too exposed in their social environment, because some of them have problems in terms of self-confidence. This study concludes, there are several theories of Marcus Aurelius that are compatible with introverted attitudes, starting with self-control, focusing on goals that we can achieve, and contemplating all circumstances in solitude.

This study aims to discuss the internalization of divine values towards perfect human beings in the perspective of Islamic philosophy. This study uses a qualitative approach by applying a descriptive-analytical method. The formal object of this research is Islamic philosophy, while the material object is human beings. The results and discussion in this study indicate that human beings and their existence are part of the unity of the name and form of God as the nature and essence of themselves. This study concludes that there is an internalization of divine values towards humans who can be said to be perfect human beings after being examined using the view of Islamic philosophy. This study recommends that readers add to their knowledge about human beings and the attributes of God to get to know their religious teachings further.

In general, today’s society emphasizes happiness as a goal that must be achieved in life, so that now there are many who emphasize happiness only in worldly life. Until now there are still many researches on happiness because each individual interprets happiness differently according to the background or condition of the person. Recent research studies state that not all concepts or theories can suit the situation and conditions of society. This research aims to find out how Thomas Aquinas and Hamka’s views on the meaning of happiness and find out how a Al-Ihsan Cibiru student interprets happiness. This study used a qualitative method by collecting bibliographical sources and interviews as well as observations, both primary and secondary data. The results and discussion in this study found similarities in the concept of happiness by Thomas Aquinas and Hamka, namely to achieve true happiness, closeness to God and accompanied by moral virtual and the two figures equally emphasize happiness to divine (God). This research concludes that indirectly Al-Ihsan Cibiru students use Thomas Aquinas and Hamka’s concept of happiness in interpreting happiness. It can be seen from the answers that mostly refer to devotion to Allah SWT which is in line with the concept given by Thomas Aquinas and Hamka.

This article discusses Jean Baudrillard's thoughts on simulation and reality in the context of the digital era. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. Jean Baudrillard's thoughts in this study occupy a position as a formal object. While simulation and reality are the material objects. The digital era is the scope of discussion in this study. The results of the research and discussion show that Jean Baudrillard in his works has explained how technology and digital media strengthen the phenomenon of simulation and blur the boundaries between reality and imagination, here Baudrillard sees that the world has turned into a simulacrum, where representations and experiences created by the media the masses have replaced reality. In the end, this article reaches the conclusion that in the digital era, hyperreality is becoming increasingly important as a substitute for reality, the impact of the digital era on the concept of simulation and fake reality is experiencing ecstasy.

This study aims to discuss takbir around in Max Weber's view as a theory of action. This research uses a qualitative approach by applying a literature study. The material object of this research is the takbir around, while the formal object is Max Weber's views on the theory of action. The results and discussion show that takbir around the community can be understood as social action and also community culture. This study concludes that takbir around in Max Weber's theory of action can be classified as a value-oriented rational act, in which this action is directed at societal, Islamic, and Indonesian values.
