Abstract

This study aims to determine how much the contribution of sweet corn farming to family income and the amount of contribution included in what category. The research location was in Kalasey Village, Mandolang District, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province. Data collection was conducted from March to May 2019. Sampling was carried out in a population of 12 sweet corn farmers. This research uses primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through direct interviews with sweet corn farmers. Secondary data were obtained from the Kalasey Village Office. Data analysis uses the contribution contribution formula. The results showed that the level of contribution of sweet corn farming was 22.02% which was classified in the medium category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the local wisdom of sweet potato farming in the Koya Village. This research was conducted in Koya Village, South Tondano District, Minahasa Regency. Sampling using a purposive sampling method, deliberately chose farmers who cultivate sweet potatoes as many as 10 people who are local sweet potato farmers. The data collected is primary data and secondary data. Primary data data obtained from interviews with sweet potato farmers with the help of a list of questions. Secondary data were obtained from the Koya Kelurahan government, as well as scientific papers related to research. The results showed that local wisdom in sweet potato farming in Koya Village was in the process of preparing land where farmers could differentiate land based on the color and type of soil so as to produce good sweet potatoes. In tillage, sweet potato farmers provide grain from the remnants of rice so that the soil can be fertile and the sweet potato produced is large and makes it easier to harvest.*eprm*

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: To study and analyze the availability of land in North Gorontalo District, Assessing and analyzing land requirements in North Gorontalo District, Analyzing and evaluating Carrying Capacity Ratio of agricultural land in North Gorontalo Regency. The research method is qualitative which is analyzed descriptively quantitative. The study was conducted covering 11 districts in North Gorontalo Regency. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data, Data collection was obtained through direct observation at the research location and through literature studies from various trusted sources or related institutions namely the Central Statistics Agency of North Gorontalo Regency 2018, and the Department of Agriculture, Horticulture Plantation, North Gorontalo District 2018. The method for calculating the carrying capacity of land uses the method of analysis in accordance with Regulation of the Minister of Environment No. 17 of 2009. The results showed the availability of land (SL) of North Gorontalo Regency was 59,235,467 Ha, and the land requirement (DL) was 46,893,556 Ha. the value of land availability is greater than the need for land SL ˃ DL, carrying capacity for district level is categorized as surplus. Carrying capacity of agricultural land (CCR) in North Gorontalo District is obtained less than one or CCR <1 that is 0.36, the assumption is that the carrying capacity of agricultural land is deficit. Policy implications for the North Gorontalo District Government should emphasize sustainable agricultural development policies through intensification, extensification and revitalization programs, so that the carrying capacity of agricultural land can be increased in realizing self-reliance and sustainable regional food security.*eprm*

Abstract

This study aims to determine the marketing of salak fruit, analyze profits and marketing margins of zalacca, and analyze the farmer's share in each marketing channel of zalacca in Bawoleu Village. This research was carried out in Bawoleu Village, North Tagulandang District, Siau Tagulandang Biaro Regency. The sample selection is done purposevely and snowball method. Data collected are primary and secondary data. Primary data collection was carried out by direct interviews with 16 salak farmers and related marketing institutions. The data collected are the characteristics of respondents, the characteristics of salak fruit farming, prices at the level of farmers, traders, and consumers, as well as marketing institutions in marketing salak fruit. Secondary data obtained from the Internet through Google searching. The results showed that the marketing channels formed in the marketing of salak fruit in Bawoleu Village were 3 types of marketing channels, namely marketing channel I, which had a total cost of Rp. 575 / Kg, Marketing channel II the total cost of Rp 575 / kg, profit of Rp 15,675 / Kg and marketing margin of Rp 16,250 / Kg. Marketing channel III costs a total of Rp. 875 / Kg, Profits Rp. 375 / Kg, marketing margin Rp. 1,250 / Kg. The portion received by farmers (farmer share) in marketing channel I is 100%, marketing channel II is 18.75%, marketing channel III is 75%.*eprm*

Abstract

This study aims to analyze people's perceptions of the development of the furniture industry in Leilem Village, Sonder District. Community perception is very important to be able to foster active communication so that the development of the furniture industry in the village of Leilem continues to experience an increase in the type of furniture and its quality. This study uses primary data obtained through direct interviews with 30 respondents using a questionnaire to the community of Leilem Village, Sonder District using a simple random sampling method. The analysis used in this study was to use a Likert Scale analysis. The results showed that the index of public perception of the development of the furniture industry was at a point of 95.1% so it was classified as high. The development of the furniture industry is very influential for the survival of the community. A good industry is an opportunity for people to depend their lives on the results of the furniture industry.*eprm*

Abstract

This study aims to look at the profile of farmers in utilizing the yard in Otam (Induk) Village, Passi Barat District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This research was conducted from September to November 2019. The method of selecting samples was done purposively, namely to farmers who own a plots of land. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected through interviews with 50 respondents, namely farmers owning their plots. Secondary data were obtained from the Otam Village Office. Data analysis in this study uses descriptive analysis in the form of tables and simple calculations. The results showed that the grounds in the village of Otam (Induk) are owned by farmers who mostly have junior high school education. Yard land is used by farmers for various types of plants. Most of the plots are planted Farmers who plant their plots with spice plants for cooking by 40 percent while farmers who plant medicinal plants for treat disease only 16 percent. While farmers who grow vegetables 24%, and those who grow fruits 20% in their yard. Live pharmacy plants, namely: cat's whiskers, bitter, ginger, and ginger. Plants that include a living kitchen in the form of: Galangal, Chinese onions, kulaci (solation), and onion stems. Plants that include vegetables are mustard greens, cabbage, carrots, tomatoes, leilem vegetables and Japanese cucumbers. Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of paddy farming technology in the Soko Meras farmer group in Taratara Satu Village, Tomohon Barat District, Tomohon City. This research was conducted in July - September 2019. Types of data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected from interviews conducted with all 13 members of the Soko Meras farmer group using a survey method (census) using a questionnaire. Secondary data is data obtained from the Statistics Office of Tomohon City. The results showed that the Soko Meras farmer group had applied agricultural technology in the paddy field farming. All members of the farmer group have implemented agricultural machinery such as tractors for land management, already applying the jajar legowo method in planting. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the income of potato farming in Sinsingon Village, Passi Timur District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This research was conducted in Sinsingon Village, Passi Timur District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency. Sampling in this study was carried out by simple random sampling, as many as 30 farmers who worked on potatoes. This research uses primary and secondary data. Primary data collection was carried out by direct interview with potato farmers in Sinsingon Village. Secondary data were collected from the Sinsingon Village Office and Passi Timur Sub-district Agriculutural Extension Office. Data analysis uses the formula for income and R / C ratio. The results showed that the average potato farm receipts per farmer was Rp. 18,746,000 and the total average cost per farmer is Rp. 10,891,458.33 and produce an average income per farmer of Rp. 7,854,541.67 so as to obtain an R / C ratio of> 1 which is 1.72, it means that the potato farming in Sinsingon Village, Passi Timur District is experiencing profit so that this business is worth the effort.*eprm*

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of land production factors, labor, seeds, urea and phonska fertilizers, as well as pesticides on the production of lowland rice farming in Tumani Village, Maesaan Sub-district. This research was conducted for two months from July to August 2019. The method of sampling used simple random sampling method. Data is collected by collecting primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained directly from 50 farmers as respondents through interviews with the help of a questionnaire while secondary data were obtained by searching documents from the Department of Agriculture. Analysis of the data used is the Cobb Douglas model regression analysis to see the effect of each production factor on the production produced. The results showed that, the variable area of land, seeds, phonska and labor had a significant effect, while the variable urea fertilizer and pesticides had no significant effect on the production of lowland rice in Tumani Village, Maustic District. * eprm *

Abstract

The objective of this research to find out how young people's perceptions of knowing and doing coconut farming business activities in Kauditan II Village, Kauditan Sub-district, North Minahasa Regency. The research conducted for six months, namely July to December 2019. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. The research was carried out in Kauditan II Village, Kauditan District, North Minahasa Regency. The choice of location in this study was chosen based on the consideration that the village has coconut farmland. The research lasted for six months, from July to December 2019. Sampling was carried out deliberately on 37 young men whose parents engaged in coconut. The data needed in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data collected through interviews is carried out using a list of questions. Secondary data was obtained through documents and literature research results as well as data and information available at the Kauditan II Village Office. The data analysis technique used is the analysis and descriptive techniques using a Likert Scale measurement. The results showed that the youth agreed to do and understand the activities of coconut farming. The statement of youth to know postharvest tends to be higher, that is to agree because postharvest work is considered easier than other farming activities while the lowest score of the statement of youth wants to harvest on coconut trees because young people do not want to do coconut climbing activities that require special techniques.*eprm*
