Abstract

The success of the program in implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) can be demonstrated through the involvement of stakeholders both from local communities in the development area and from outside. Domination is often an obstacle in the sustainability of the program. The TPST Masa Sejati CSR sustainability program can’t be separated from how the actors in it play a role. This study wants to see how the role of stakeholders in the success of the CSR program in TPST Masa Sejati, Margasari Village. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to explain how the actors are running in the empowerment program. The results of this study indicate that the direction of the TPST Masa Sejati program is very dependent on the role of local actors. The domination of actors in every activity with full authority makes members don’t have the opportunity to express their innovations. Members have every activity run to local actors as program Chair. This has an impact on the regeneration of actors for future program development.

Abstract

Agriculture is the livelihood of the majority of Indonesia's population, no less than 80 million people currently work as farmers. However, the downward trend in the number of farmers occurred from year to year caused by various factors such as declining interest of young people, disproportionate income with farmers' expenditures, to the level of plant fertility due to the effects of chemical fertilizers. This article will describe the Super-MAN Sumanding integrated agricultural social innovation program carried out by PT PLN (Persero) Tanjung Jati B Jepara Power Generation Unit. This research looks at the challenges that exist, the opportunities they have to the implementation that has been done. The research method used is qualitative research with the technique of withdrawing informants using purposive sampling. Data were obtained through interviews, observation and documentation studies. The researcher validated the data using the source triangulation technique. The results showed that the Super-MAN Sumanding Integrated Agriculture program was included in the category of social innovation according to Maularent (2012) five indicators. The five indicators are grouped into three, namely challenges, opportunities and implementation. The first group is a challenge containing the first indicator, namely overcoming social problems. The second group is opportunities with the second indicator, namely creating new institutional relationships (collaboration). And implementation with the remaining indicators, namely increasing capacity, increasing welfare, and sustainability.

Abstract

The Mangrove Education Center (MEC) is located in the pangkalan Jambi village, Bukit Batu sub-district, Bengkalis district, Riau province. In 2004 in the village of Jambi base, a group of hope together was established, which is a group of local fishermen. The Mangrove Education Center (MEC) was established by the joint hope group to respon to emergency conditions due to abrasion that hit the coast of Pangkalan Jambi village. Abrasion in the Jambi base village occurs due to two factors, namely from nature and humans. The land is naturally abraded due to the force hitting the coast and accompanied by human factors, namely the illegal logging of mangroves by irresponsible people. This study aims to determine the effect of TRIMBA on sedimentation volume, success rate of planting, and utilization of TRIMBA on the impact of land addition. Determination of the sampling location is done by conducting several observations or preliminary studies. Observations were made by finding 3 sample points that represented the TRIMBA. The results showed that the sedimentation volume at station 1 was 6,650 m³, at station 2 it was 480 m³, and at station 3 it was 750 m³ so that the total volume was obtained with a value of 7,880 m³. This sedimentation volume is very useful for the 50% increase in land caused by the presence of TRIMBA. And the success rate of planting has also increased from previous years.

Abstract

Dieng Plateau is a protected area whose main function is to protect the preservation of the function of natural resources, artificial resources, as well as cultural and historical values of the nation. Forest damage in the Dieng Plateau has reached 50 to 60%. The conversion of forest functions to land for seasonal crops, especially potatoes has damaged the forest function area as a protected forest. The problem that is still the biggest challenge in efforts to restore Dieng as a protected area is the rehabilitation of critical land in community-owned land areas. Widespread land degradation occurs due to potato cultivation activities, the impact is that during the rainy season landslides occur in many residential points and along roads, floods that occur due to disruption of watersheds by landslides, and drought during the dry season. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with purposive selection of research locations. The research location is in Tambi Village, Wonosobo Regency, which is a conservation area through coffee cultivation. Observations and in-depth interviews were conducted. The results of this study indicate that community empowerment in Tambi Village is an important factor in efforts to revitalize the critical slopes of Dieng. This revitalization effort has been carried out by Bapak Romadhon for the last 12 years together with the surrounding community by planting coffee plants. Behind the success that has been achieved, there are many influencing factors, both external and internal. Many coffee farmers feel the benefits of growing coffee. The community began to realize that the activities they were doing so far were damaging the environment. Community empowerment and participation is a very important step for the recovery of critical slopes due to exploitation activities.

Abstract

The Dieng Plateau which is on the slopes of Mount Sindoro and Sumbing, Wonosobo Regency is very crucial as a water catchment area in Central Java Province. The Dieng Plateau as a protected function forest area should be an area that is protected from production activities and human activities that have potential to damage its protected function. These protected areas are massively exploited for the sake of fulfilling human needs, resulting in environmental damage in various areas. One effort to restore this situation is by revitalizing land through the development of coffee farming. The purpose of this paper is to discuss efforts to revitalize land through the development of coffee farming in Dieng Plateau area. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a character study approach. The development of coffee plants can be an effort to conserve forests, maintain water absorption, and reduce natural disasters. Abstract

Forests in Wonosobo Regency play a role in maintaining ecological balance. The problem that often occurs is the decline in forest function. Various human activities are carried out to change the ecological function of forests into economic land use. One of the environmental conservation efforts is through religious character education. This was done by one of the opinion leaders in Tambi Village, Kejajar District, Wonosobo Regency. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the role of religious communication in efforts to revitalize the environment in a community empowerment process. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a character study approach. As a mission to revitalize the environment, an agent of change takes an approach with a religious context. This process was carried out using a pilot model method by the opinion leader Mr. RM, which started in a small community, namely the Agro Mulyo group. Starting from social change based on Islamic values. Abstract

The slopes of Mount Tambi turned green again after the efforts to revitalize critical lands carried out by LMDH Argo Mulyo through the development of Tambi coffee agroforestry were successfully initiated from 2010 to 2022. The success of revitalizing critical land in Gunung Tambi certainly did not just happen, because Mount Tambi is a community's living space. has been used for years as a place of livelihood for farming communities who use a seasonal farming system, an agricultural system that is known to be environmentally unfriendly. However, the Tambi coffee agroforestry development model offered by LMDH Argo Mulyo can be a model in utilizing social forestry as a solution to overcome the existing environmental problems. This study reviews the role of stakeholders in efforts to revitalize critical land through the development of Tambi coffee agroforestry using the rapid rural appraisal (RRA) research method. This study conducted an analysis of stakeholder engagement to review the role of stakeholders in the development of tambi coffee agroforestry involving civil society groups, government and the private sector. The success of the development of Tambi coffee agroforestry is evidenced by the increasing social impact in the form of the number of members increasing to 190 people, the economic impact that increases the income of coffee farmers to Rp 35 million per harvest and the environmental impact by increasing the area managed into agroforestry covering an area of 66 hectares.
