Abstract

This study aims to analyze market competition conditions and factors that influence customer loyalty at UD Putra Jati, a small and medium enterprise (SME) engaged in the production and sale of teak wood crafts in Kasiman District, Bojonegoro. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques are carried out through direct observation and in-depth interviews with owners and customers. The results of the study indicate that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on declining sales and changes in consumer behavior. UD Putra Jati faces challenges in the form of suboptimal use of digital marketing, limited production capacity, and the absence of complete business legality. However, product quality and customer loyalty remain the main strengths of this business. This study recommends innovative strategies in the form of production modernization, utilization of social media, business legalization, and development of online distribution and marketing systems. These findings are expected to be a reference for other SMEs in developing adaptive strategies to face market dynamics and increase business competitiveness sustainably.

Abstract

As global awareness of sustainability increases, the concept of green business has become a major focus in the modern business world. This study discusses strategies for implementing environmentally conscious businesses and their long-term viability. By employing approaches such as the use of sustainable energy, circular economy-based waste management, and the use of green technology, companies can achieve a balance between profitability and ecological responsibility. Through a business feasibility analysis, this study evaluates various factors influencing business sustainability, including investment costs, market potential, and government policies and incentives that encourage the growth of sustainable green businesses. Case studies of companies that have successfully implemented sustainable business models demonstrate that innovation in environmentally friendly businesses not only reduces negative impacts on the environment but also provides higher economic value and competitiveness. Thus, green business is not just a trend, but a strategy that supports both business sustainability and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Conflict‑affected rural microfinance faces data scarcity and repayment volatility, limiting sustainable outreach. No prior empirical study has evaluated Digital Financial Twin (DFT) analytics within Shariah‑compliant institutions under conflict conditions. We integrate cyber‑physical simulation with Islamic microfinance, offering the first large‑scale evidence of DFT impact on financial and poverty outcomes. We employ a quasi‑experimental design combining geospatial conflict data (ACLED), loan‑level records from five Islamic MFIs (N = 48,360 loans across 120 rural districts), and UNDP Multidimensional Poverty Index scores. Multivariate logistic regressions, structural equation modeling (SEM), and GIS mapping were implemented using R (v4.2.2) and lavaan (v0.6‑12). DFT deployment correlates with a 5.8 pp increase in on‑time repayment (OR = 1.27, 95% CI [1.18, 1.37], p < 0.001) and a 5.9 pp reduction in default rates (OR = 0.72, 95% CI [0.64, 0.81], p < 0.001). SEM indicates a significant moderating effect of DFT on conflict intensity (β = 0.29, p < 0.01). GIS heatmaps demonstrate sustained outreach in high‑conflict zones. DFT analytics enhance Shariah‑compliant microfinance performance and resilience in fragile settings, informing policy on digital infrastructure investment in conflict‑affected economies.

Abstract

In an era of rapid technological advancements and increasing global competition, organizations must adopt integrated strategies to enhance performance, foster innovation, and ensure long-term sustainability. This study explores the interplay between leadership, technology, Total Quality Management (TQM), and sustainability in driving organizational excellence across multiple sectors. Through a systematic literature review, this research synthesizes insights from recent studies to examine how these four dimensions collectively shape organizational performance. The findings highlight that transformational leadership plays a crucial role in fostering employee engagement, knowledge sharing, and strategic decision-making, particularly when aligned with sustainability initiatives. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI), business intelligence (BI), and digital transformation has been identified as a key enabler of operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making, although challenges such as technostress and resistance to change persist. Moreover, TQM practices contribute significantly to service quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous organizational learning, especially when combined with digital tools and leadership-driven quality improvement strategies. Lastly, sustainability-driven business practices, including green supply chain management (SCM) and corporate social responsibility (CSR), have emerged as fundamental drivers of competitive advantage and long-term organizational resilience. This study provides both theoretical and practical implications, offering a comprehensive framework that integrates leadership, technology, quality management, and sustainability for enhanced organizational performance. The research underscores the need for cross-sectoral best practices, strategic leadership, and investment in digital transformation and sustainability initiatives. Future research should focus on empirical validations, sector-specific variations, and innovative frameworks that optimize these interdependencies. This study contributes to academic discourse and managerial practice by offering valuable insights for policymakers, business leaders, and researchers navigating the complexities of modern organizational environments.

Abstract

In the rapidly evolving digital banking environment, cybersecurity has emerged as a critical factor influencing customer trust, system usage, and overall satisfaction. However, emergence of cybersecurity has also led to a parallel rise in cyberthreats involving data breaches, online fraud, phishing attacks, and other cybercrimes. This study integrated cybersecurity system within the Information Systems Success Model (ISSM) to explore how it affects customer satisfaction as the Nigeria’s banking industry goes digital. Using quantitative research approach, data were collected through structured questionnaires administered 310 respondents including bank customers, employees and IT managers. Ordered Logistic Regression (OLR) model was employed to test the predictive power of each explanatory variable. The findings reveal that information quality (β = 0.019, p < 0.05), service quality (β = 0.047, p < 0.05), use (β = 0.046, p < 0.05), and user satisfaction (β = 0.205, p < 0.05) have positive and significant effects on customer satisfaction, while system quality (β = -0.178, p > 0.05) and net benefits (β = 0.125, p > 0.05) show insignificant effects. This study concluded that the information systems success model is applicable to the Nigeria’s banking industry as cybersecurity system affects customer satisfaction. Therefore, the study recommended that customers should offer feedback on their experiences with the bank’s services, particularly regarding cybersecurity system effectiveness; and bank managers should invest in maintaining reliable and secure cybersecurity system, involving high uptime, smooth system performance, high-quality customer support and resilience against cyber threats.

Abstract

The study examined the impact of microfinancing on the performance of micro, small and medium enterprises in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria. Four-hundred MSMEs owners were sampled using the Yamane (1967) method in all the six Area Councils of Abuja. Also, the descriptive statistics which include frequency, percentage and cumulative percentage were used in analyzing the socio-economic characteristics of the respondents; while, the logit regression was used to analyze the formulated objectives of the study. The logit regression estimates showed that loans from microfinance banks, economical age active, loan from family members and other sources were explicitly significant and directly impact the MSMEs; while, loans from commercial banks was also significant and indirectly impact it. These imply that MSMEs that have access to loan from microfinance banks is 20.0% likely to expand their production capacity than non-customer. The study concluded that MSMEs operations that have access to credit from microfinance banks experience growth in their business performance; while reverse is the case for non-customers. The study recommended that the apex bank within the country should ensure that the micro-finance banks comply with the core values of its operations that concerns with promoting rural development through financial inclusion and financial literacy, deposit mobilization, and credit delivery to finance micro-enterprises.
