The research product is the PAO PaPi Model. The component model developed refers to Joyce, et al. [2]. Characteristics of the developed model refer to Arend (2012), and product quality criteria refer to Nieeven (2007). Validation data analysis refers to Nurdin (2007) and Asdar (2013). The instrument reliability percentage used the concept of percentage of agreements by Grinnell (1988) in Nurdin (2007). The results showed that the PAO PaPi model was valid in terms of the supporting theories and components of the model

Abstract

Extra-curricular activities are one way to achieve institutional goals. These activities are carried out outside of school hours and are generally in the form of assignments, completed through experiments or in the form of exercises as practice and theory received at school. When students carry out extra-curricular activities, it means that they are practicing their learning creativity. With the habit of students practicing their lessons from school, the more creative potential they have will develop. So extra-curricular activities in addition to achieving institutional goals, students are also highly expected to be independent after graduating from school. However, there are still many teachers who do not realize the great benefits of extra-curricular activities so that they are not serious about implementing them. In this study, the authors determined the population of class VII of Gajah Mada Binjai Private Junior High School for the 2023/2024 Learning Year, which randomly took 82 students as respondents. The method used is descriptive method, to obtain data the researcher uses a closed questionnaire and this questionnaire is divided into two, namely the first part to obtain data about extra-curricular activities and the second part to obtain data about student learning creativity. Respondents' answers were given a value with the following weights: option a value 4, option b value 3, option c value 2, option d value 1. The data is quantitative and the analysis technique is statistical analysis of correlation using the Product Moment Statistical formula developed by Pearson, namely: = . Hypothesis testing is based on a 5% significance level or using a 95% confidence level using the r table (correlation table) with a sample size of 82. Then from the calculation results obtained r = 0.9977 and r correlation table = 0.217, which means high correlation. Thus it can be concluded that extra-curricular activities have a positive and convincing relationship with the learning creativity of seventh grade students at Gajah Mada Binjai Private Junior High School for the 2023/2024.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the background of students' enthusiasm for learning in class VIII-1 without cheating behaviour at UPTD SMP Negeri 3 Mandrehe Utara. What makes students active in learning but when doing assignments or exams do not cheat. The focus of the research is the spirit of learning of students without cheating behaviour. The research approach used is qualitative with the observation method. The subjects in this Journal are six students at UPTD SMP Negeri 3 Mandrehe Utara from class VIII-1. The results showed that there was motivation that made students enthusiastic about learning without cheating behaviour, namely coming from extrinsic motivation in the form of rewards in learning given by teachers and parents. The award is in the form of prizes such as money and credit, accumulated points which can later be used to avoid the next daily test, as well as bonus scores that can be used for additional scores in the race for class rank. On the other hand, there are consequences that cause students' learning motivation, namely buying class tools and memorising if they get low scores. Meanwhile, extrinsic motivation in the form of learning environment conditions is not one of the causes in the spirit of learning.

Abstract

Nowadays, technology is becoming increasingly sophisticated. One proof of the development of increasingly sophisticated technology is the existence of gadgets. Where gadgets are a form of technology that penetrates all circles including junior high school students who make children tend to prefer to be alone to use their Gadgets, rather than interacting with their peers. They spend more time just playing gadgets, so they don't have time to read books, be it textbooks or other books. So the importance of awareness of reading interest must also be further emphasised to students. And the purpose of this research is that the author focuses more on the discussion of the impact of Gadgets on students' interest in reading, especially students in class VII-1 SMP Negeri 8 Binjai.
