Abstract

Pendahuluan: Plyometric exercise merupakan latihan dasar yang mempunyai karakteristik peregangan otot dan tendon kemudian segera diikuti oleh pemendekan. Latihan ini meningkatkan elastisitas muscle fiber dan jaringan penghubung sehingga dicapai tujuan untuk meningkatkan kecepatan, stabilitas, kekuatan, ketahanan kardiorespirasi, dan kelincahan. Plyometric exercise dapat juga mempengaruhi fungsi vital dalam tubuh, seperti respiratory rate. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh plyometric exercise terhadap respiratory rate pada pemain bola voli Universitas Mercu Buana. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode one group pre-test-post-test design. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelompok pemain bola voli yang memenuhi kriteria insklusi. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 16 pemain bola voli yang diberikan perlakukan plyometric exercise sebanyak sebanyak 3 kali/minggu selama 12 minggu dengan latihan selama 30 menit/pertemuan dengan teknik aerobik. Pengukuran respiratory rate dengan menghitung frekuensi nafas sampel dalam 1 menit. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil uji Wilcoxon, ada pengaruh plyometric exercise terhadap respiratory rate p=0.000 (p<0.05). Kesimpulan: Ada pengaruh plyometric exercise terhadap respiratory rate pada pemain bola voli Universitas Mercu Buana. Kata Kunci : Plyometric Exercise, Respiratory Rate, Bola Voli

Abstract

Pemerintah memberlakukan kebijakkan PSBB (Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar) sebagai salah satu upaya mengatasi pandemi COVID-19 akibat penyebaran virus Sars-Cov-2 yang berasal dari Wuhan, China Desember tahun 2019 sesuai dengan peraturan WHO. Hal ini dikarenakan hingga saat ini belum ditemukan vaksin untuk mencegah penularannya. Akibat dari kebijakkan tersebut, media komunikasi darling menjadi sangat penting untuk bersosialisasi dengan kerabat maupun teman, menyebabkan penurunan aktifitas fisik. Berdasarkan data darling survei yang dilakukan pada 40 orang mahasiswa Jurusan Fisioterapi, Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan, UPN Veteran Jakarta, 40 % responden menyatakan waktu berkomunikasi bertambah dari sebelum masa pandemi, 35 % responden menyatakan tidak berubah dan sisanya 25% menyatakan kurang. Sedangkan durasi komunikasi yang paling banyak dihabiskan oleh responden untuk bersosialisasi dengan media komunikasi darling dengan menggunakan aplikasi ZOOM dan Video Call adalah selama 1-30 menit sebanyak 52.5% responden, 31-1 jam sebanyak 27.5% responden, lebih dari 1 jam sebanyak 17.5% dan 0 menit sebanyak 2.5% responden. Kondisi ini menyebabkan gerakan ekstremitas atas berulang yang diperlukan oleh penggunaan perangkat media komunikasi darling sehingga kontraksi otot secara terus menerus di leher dan bahu, yang dapat menimbulkan kerentanan terhadap gangguan muskuloskeletal akibat kerusakan mikroskopis pada otot, saraf, dan pembuluh darah selama menjalankan perannya.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBacground: The brain is an organ that is susceptible to degenerative processes. When the brain begins to age, there will be a decrease in brain function which is at risk of decreased cognitive function. Aerobic physical exercise can cause oxidative stress by increasing the formation of ROS from aerobic metabolism of muscle cells during physical exercise and cellular stress caused by ROS can trigger cell repair reactions. ROS is a very reactive oxygen-derived free radical, an important generator in the production of ROS is mitochondria, one of which is PGC-1α. Purpose: This study aims to measure levels of PGC-1α protein in male mice given exercise. Research Method male mice were divided into 2 groups consisting of 6 mice in the control group, 6 mice in the Exercise group with a total of 12 male mice, each 6 weeks old. This research was conducted for 8 weeks using ELISA laboratory techniques to analyze the PGC-1α protein. Result: : This study showed that there was an increase in the levels of PGC-1α in the brains of male mice after laboratory examination and then continued with statistical tests, the highest value of PGC-1α levels in the brains of male mice in the aerobic exercise group was obtained. Conclusion: The administration of aerobic exercise to male mice for 8 weeks had an effect on PGC-1α levels in the brains of male mice.

Abstract

Background: Myofascial trigger point syndrome is a musculoskeletal disorder characterized by the presence of a trigger point in a sensitive area within the skeletal muscle band linkages, if pressure is applied to the area it will cause specific pain at a point that is pressed (tenderness). Myofascial trigger point syndrome is influenced both by mechanism and by positioning factors. Myofascial trigger point syndrome upper trapezius muscle radiates along the upper back and neck, behind the ears and at the temples. Methods: The research method used is in the form of a case study with 1 patient who was given physiotherapy intervention and evaluation 4 times. To overcome the problem of muscle pain in bilateral trapezius m.upper in this study, using manual physiotherapy intervention therapy in the form of friction massage. Result: The results obtained, there was a decrease in tenderness in the upper trapezius muscle VAS 5 during the first evaluation to VAS 2 at the fourth evaluation with an average VAS value pre and post after one month for four interventions, namely 1.72. The MDC value (95) is 0.196 and the MCID range is 0.88-1.7, and 1.46-2.28. Conclusion: Based on these results, it can be concluded that physiotherapy intervention with the manual method of therapy, friction massage is considered effective in reducing pain in patients with myofascial trigger point syndrome, upper trapezius muscle with visual analogues scale (VAS) parameters. Abstract

Background Hallux valgus (HV), also known as bunion is one of the most common foot deformities. It manifests with the proximal phalanx deviating laterally and the first metatarsal head deviating medially, usually due to adduction of the first metatarsus, called the metatarsus primus varus. The deformity is sometimes red in color and very painful to daily activities. If identified and treated properly the symptoms will improve. The exact etiology is not fully understood. It tends to occur more frequently in women and those who wear shoes or tight heels, hallux valgus is found in 58% of women and 25% of men. HV deformities can usually be diagnosed by physical examination. This deformity is sometimes red in color and painfully interferes with daily activities. If identified and treated properly the symptoms will improve. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of neuromuscular taping intervention and strengthening exercise on pain reduction. The Research Method is a literature study consisting of sources -the research source used the final evaluation, namely the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). The results in the literature study showed a reduction in pain after neuromuscular taping and strengthening exercises. From this literature study it can be concluded that the intervention of neuromuscular taping and strengthening exercise is effective in reducing pain. , increases the strength of M. Abductor hallucis muscles as well as reduces the hallux valgus angle.

Abstract

Low back pain is a major health problem in the workforce. Teachers are among the professions that are at high risk of suffering from low back pain due to work as social transformation, educational reforms and new teaching models have affected current teaching conditions, leading to changes in the profession in order to that teachers move from a relatively safe status to a state of instability in the workplace, due to new precarious and unregulated working methods. The aim of this study was to determine which risk factors are the causes of the low back pain (low back pain) experienced by the teachers of the SMPN 1 Bathin Solapan. This research uses quantitative methods. The research sample consisted of 28 teachers from SMPN 1 Bathin Solapan. The results of the analysis showed that there was no interaction variable (p <0.05) on the variables of age, sex, exercise routine and duration of sitting. From the results of this study, more research is needed to determine what other factors are associated with the incidence of low back pain in teachers at SMPN 1 Bathin Solapan.
