Abstract

Communication can essentially reduce uncertainty between two individuals who are first involved in a conversation, this is a concept coined by Richard Calabrese and Charles Berger in the theory of Uncertainty Reduction. This research will focus on passive uncertainty reduction strategy, which are strategy where when someone observes without that person knowing via online as well as the use of Instagram media which is used as a medium for someone to observe other people without that person's knowledge. If it is associated with a passive strategy on Instagram which will affect self-disclosure, it can make a relationship move closer than before so that this research can find out how far self-disclosure can develop if you have previously searched for information. Selection of passive strategy to reduce uncertainty is based on friendship, romantic, and professional relationships. Based on the results of the analysis carried out using qualitative research methods and descriptive type,, communicator will be motivated to seek information using passive strategy on Instagram due to considerations between uncertainty and hope. Then also found that the passive strategy on Instagram fulfill six of the eight axioms in the uncertainty reduction theory including axiom 1 (verbal communication), axiom 3 (information seeking), axiom 4 (familiarity), axiom 6 (similarity), axiom 7 (taste). ), and axiom 8 (social network interaction), as well as initiating self-disclosure in face-to-face meetings so that relationships can develop more quickly.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the problem of body shaming in the film Imperfect. The research objectives are: To find out the effect of body shaming on Rara's self-confidence, to find out the forms of verbal and non-verbal communication of other people in forming Rara's self-confidence, and to find out the role of other people in forming self-confidence in dealing with Rara's body shaming in the film Imperfect . This research uses qualitative research (Document Study), while the data source is the film Imperfect; Career, Love and Scales watched live via Facebook Social Media. In this research, the researcher acts as a research instrument using tools, namely the Imperfect video film, by taking pieces of images, scenes and dialogue, data is obtained through observation and documentation. Next, the research data was analyzed using Philipp Mayring's content analysis. The results of this study show that: 1. The influence of body shaming on Rara's self-confidence is divided into two, namely negative consisting of feeling insecure and not confident, liking to be alone, far from success, doing extreme things and changing attitudes, positive consisting of diligently exercising, after There was a change, Rara looked more confident, and was accepted as manager of her company. 2. Forms of verbal and nonverbal communication from other people in forming Rara's self-confidence, verbal is characterized by advice, suggestions, ideas while non-verbal communication is characterized by hugs, touches, body movements and vocals 3. Abstract

This skipsi discusses "The Influence of Beauty Vlogger Tasya Farasya's Youtube Channel on the Interest in Buying Skintific Products of Ushuluddin, Adab and Da'wah Faculty Students at IAIN Parepare". This research aims to determine and describe the magnitude of the influence of Beauty Vlogger Tasya Farasya's source credibility and content on interest in purchasing Skintific products. This research uses a quantitative approach where the data is in the form of numbers which are processed using descriptive analysis and statistical analysis with multiple linear regression, using the Slovin formula with 10% precision, namely with a sample of 94 female students who are considered to be representative of the population. Source credibility theory is the theory used in this research. According to this theory, people tend to trust and accept messages more from those who have expertise in their field. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the results of hypothesis testing using the regression test obtained (R Square) for the source credibility variable on purchase interest of 0.193 (19.3%). It can be concluded that the magnitude of the influence between source credibility on buying interest is 19.3% then (R Square) the content variable on buying interest is 0.436 (43.6%). So it can be concluded that the magnitude of the influence of content on purchasing interest is 43.6%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the public relations communication strategy of PT. Koninis Fajar Mineral in establishing cooperation between companies to improve the company's image at the nickel mining location in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi Province and to find out the form of cooperation between PT. Koninis Fajar Mineral between companies at the nickel mining location in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Qualitative research is research or research that is descriptive (describes) and tends to use analysis. The result of this research is the Public Relations communication strategy of PT. Koninis Fajar Mineral (KFM) to improve the company's image at nickel mining locations in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, is that the use of social media, company introduction, direct interaction with the community, and the role of the HSE Department are important strategies in maintaining the company's positive image. This combination of strategies shows serious efforts in improving communication, introducing the company effectively, understanding community needs, and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. This emphasizes the importance of harmony, responsiveness and consistency in carrying out effective Public Relations practices and forms of cooperation. PT Koninis Fajar Mineral, in its operations at the nickel mine in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi, emphasizes cooperation between companies, evaluating KPIs related to sustainability, collaboration between management and leaders. companies, as well as engagement with government, the private sector and local communities through empowerment programs. This reflects their commitment to social responsibility, the environment and the welfare of the surrounding community.

Abstract

This study aims to find how much influence the Dakwah Peduli Umat program of Lk Channel youtube has on understanding the religious massage of Lk Channel subscribers. In this study using quantitative research methods with type of Ex-post Facto, this research was conducted by relying on an instrument in form of a closed quetionnaire so that the result were in the form of numbers such as percentages. The result of the research that we obtained from the variabel X (knowladge about Dakwah Peduli Umat Program) it is known that total obtained from Lk Channel subscriber questionnaire was obtained as many 578 respondents, wich meants it is medium category (416,6 – 583,3). The result of the research that we obtained from the variabel X (knowladge about Understanding the Religious Massage) it is known that total obtained from Lk Channel subscriber questionnaire was obtained as many 554 respondents, wich meants it is medium category (416,6 – 583,3). Based on this, it can be said that influence the Dakwah Peduli Umat program of Lk Channel youtube has on understanding the religious massage of Lk Channel subscribers is in the medium category and can be said to be effective. This means that according to Lk Channel Subscriber in dakwah peduli umat program, that there is an influence they get of dakwah peduli umat program caring for the people to understand the religious massage of Lk Channel youtube. However, respondents are still at stage of only knowing dan understanding, also not yet a high category related to understanding and knowladge and is still in medium category. Based on experience in carrying out research, in this section, the researcher wants to provide suggestions, we hope that it can be useful for further research.

Abstract

Technological developments that are increasingly accelerating at this time will certainly make people get carried away with its development, like it or not, people will continue to use it. One of the technological developments is the presence of new media or new media. Through convergence it becomes a challenge for the newspaper print media industry to meet the needs of its readers. The content of the news is designed in a more creative way that attracts readers. Print media must also make updates by utilizing technology such as creating platforms, namely e-papers that can be accessed through online media so that the existence of print media can survive with the help of existing technology. The purpose of this study is to find out how the form of media convergence is carried out by Pare Pos? To find out how the survival strategy through Pare Pos media convergence through alternative media? The theory used by researchers is the Media Convergence Theory and Media Ecology Theory. Convergence is a radical change in the handling, supply, distribution and processing of all forms of information both visual and audio, data and so on. The type of research used by researchers is a type of qualitative research, which is a research approach that uncovers certain social situations by describing reality correctly, formed by words based on techniques of collecting and analyzing relevant data obtained from natural situations. The forms of media convergence carried out by Pare Pos are newsrooms, multitasking and multiplatform so as not to be left behind in technological developments in all-digitalization while the convergence strategy carried out by Pare Pos consists of multimedia, multichannel and multiplatform.

Abstract

The rise of the current technological era, people need guidance in wise use of social media, also the presence of this Tiktok application as a new media will have a good impact on society. The phenomenon of using the Tiktok application in the city of Parepare, especially teenagers with various kinds of creativity and delivering messages through positive youth content through Tiktok. This tiktok application is also an application that is favored and liked by teenagers to develop their creativity, the intensity of teenagers in using the Tiktok application is increasing. So that researchers believe the Tiktok application is an interesting problem to research. Based on the object of research and the problems studied, this research is a field research, which is a research that is carried out systematically by collecting data from the field. content is necessary. This will give their own interest to the content of teenagers in the Tiktok application they produce. It needs an idea, because in the content there needs to be something that will make certain characteristics different from others.

Abstract

The ability to understand is needed by students in taking courses. This study aims to determine the comparison of students' and female students' understanding in receiving learning Da'wah and Communication Research Methods (quantitative), this research is a quantitative study. Data collected by questionnaire technique, respondents in this study were 30 respondents, 7 students and 23 female students of KPI A class semester 5 IAIN Parepare. Based on the results previously obtained, it was found that there was no difference in the understanding of KPI A class students and female students in semester 5 in receiving teaching research methods of da'wah and communication (quantitative).Keywords: understanding, learning, quantitative methods

Abstract

Gadget is a technological tool that is made to have good functions, is practical and can facilitate human activities. Where users of this gadget are not only adults, but also many elementary school age (SD) or teenagers who already use gadgets for their various needs. Nowadays, children's social life is more easily affected by gadgets, especially their learning outcomes. The use of gadgets can help children's creativity if their use is balanced with the positive features of these gadgets. But it can also have a negative impact if there is no parental supervision when children use their gadgets. In this study, we will discuss the effect of using gadgets on the learning outcomes of class VI students at SD Negri 11 parepare. This study uses a quantitative research method with expo facto research design or looking for the influence between 2 variables. The results showed that there was no influence between the use of gadgets on the learning outcomes of class VI students at SD Negri 11 Parepare (788 > 0.05)Keywords:

Abstract

This research aims to examine the level of relevance of study program courses to the needs of the world of work for graduates of the KPI IAIN Parepare study program. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique uses quantitative correlation methods. The KPI study program has 43 study program courses and 16 institute courses, including 32 courses that form knowledge competencies, all courses in the study program are expected to be able to form attitudes and 31 courses that form general skills competencies and 6 courses that form specific skills competencies. The results of the research show that the study program courses and the needs of the world of work for KPI IAIN Parepare graduates are related. This is proven by the results of the Pearson correlation test, which obtained a Pearson correlation value of 0.250, which is at the level of a weak relationship between study program subjects and the needs of the world of work of graduates and has a positive value.
