Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis metode pelaksanaan, komunikasi organisasi, serta kontrol organisasi dalam Program Gerakan Pembinaan Baca Al-Qur’an Ma’had Al-Jami’ah IAIN Parepare. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teori yang digunakan meliputi Birokrasi Weber, Teori Kontrol Organisasi, dan Organizational Identification. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program ditujukan bagi mahasiswa semester dua yang dikategorikan dalam kelompok C, dengan metode pembelajaran Iqro’ hijau dan kurikulum terstruktur. Komunikasi organisasi belum berjalan optimal karena adanya hambatan komunikasi vertikal dan horizontal serta kurangnya kejelasan aturan dan konsistensi penerapannya. Kontrol organisasi dilakukan melalui evaluasi kinerja tutor, peserta, dan pendamping secara daring dan luring, serta pengarahan melalui penetapan tujuan dan pemberian motivasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya penguatan komunikasi dan kontrol organisasi dalam mendukung keberhasilan program pembinaan baca Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi komunikasi Humas PLTA Bakaru dalam membangun hubungan harmonis dengan masyarakat Desa Bakaru, Kecamatan Lembang, Kabupaten Pinrang. Topik ini penting karena komunikasi yang efektif merupakan kunci menjaga keharmonisan antara perusahaan dan masyarakat sekitar. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan alat perekam. Data dianalisis melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Humas PLTA Bakaru berperan sebagai komunikator, image maker, mediator, dan penyedia informasi publik. Strategi komunikasi mencakup komunikasi internal (struktural dan antar-karyawan) dan eksternal (dengan pemerintah desa, tokoh masyarakat, pemuda, dan warga). Pola komunikasi dua arah ini berjalan efektif dalam mendukung hubungan yang harmonis. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya peran Humas sebagai jembatan komunikasi untuk memperkuat kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap perusahaan, memberikan wawasan bagi pengembangan strategi komunikasi organisasi di wilayah pedesaan.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to explore the form of expression regulation of FUAD students' hyperhonest on Instagram media, to describe the motives of FUAD students' hyperhonest on Instagram media, and to measure the impact of FUAD students' hyperhonest on Instagram media. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method using a phenomenological approach to explore students' in-depth experiences related to hyperhonest on Instagram media. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques by means of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are, (1) Many FUAD students like to express themselves on Instagram media. Students share moments and feelings, spontaneously and transparently, both sad and happy (over disclosure). Many express themselves through photos, videos with captions, while some use quotes or backsound according to the student's condition. (2) Some FUAD students choose to use a second account to express themselves which can only be accessed by certain people. Students feel more comfortable, free, and satisfied when expressing themselves on Instagram. Instagram media is also used as a place to store moments that have been done. (3) The impact of FUAD students' hyperhonest on Instagram media gets support and positive suggestions from followers, some also get hate speech, body shaming and bullying which have a negative impact on students' lives.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing use of the TikTok application among adolescents and its potential impact on narcissistic behavior and social life in Kampung Duri, Soreang Subdistrict, Bukit Harapan Village, Parepare City. The research aims to explore the intensity of TikTok usage, the dramaturgic portrayal of narcissistic behavior, and its impacts in the area. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing observation and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that TikTok usage in Kampung Duri is notably high, particularly among adolescents who are creative, predominantly content consumers, and frequent users of filters. TikTok usage influences adolescent narcissism and yields positive impacts such as enhanced creativity, access to information, expanded social connections, therapeutic healing, and business opportunities, alongside negative impacts including time wastage, unrestricted age access, and hate speech. These findings underscore the importance of managing TikTok usage to maximize benefits and minimize adverse effects, particularly on adolescents’ psychosocial development

Abstract

Student Satisfaction Survey in Academic and Non-Academic Services of the Faculty of Ushuluddin Adab and Da'wah (supervised by Mrs. Sulvinajayanti and Mrs. Andi Dian Fitriana) Students are an important part of a university and are also the main focus of the teaching and service process at the university. The success of students in achieving their academic goals reflects the success of the university in providing quality education and supporting services. This thesis discusses "a survey of student satisfaction in academic and non-academic services of the Faculty of Ushuluddin Adab and Da'wah". This study aims to determine the level of student satisfaction in academic and non-academic services of the Faculty of Ushuluddin Adab and Da'wah, and to determine what factors influence student satisfaction in academic and non-academic services of the Faculty of Ushuluddin Adab and Da'wah. This study uses a quantitative approach whose data are numbers processed using descriptive analysis and using the 10% slovin formula with a sample of 306 students as representatives of the population.

Abstract

Akbar, Communication Pattern of Leaders Towards tvPeduli Crew in Creating Work Comfort (Mr. Dr. Muhammad Saleh, M.Ag as the Main Supervisor and Mrs. Dr. Zulfa, M.Pd. as the Assistant Supervisor) TV Peduli is a local TV that is used as an information media and a forum for public participation, by presenting healthy, intelligent, and quality information and inspiration as well as a variety of local and national content. And where the human resources that must operate must be qualified so that they can provide shows like national TV and private TV. This research is a qualitative research that uses the Leaders and crew of TV Peduli as research sources and focuses on. Communication patterns of leaders towards TV Peduli crew in creating work comfort. The results of this study are communication patterns that refer to total channel patterns. This means a communication flow that ensures all group members can directly communicate with other members without intermediaries. Communication science views patterns: as communication flows that have several models and are influenced by several factors that are formed, one of which is from organizational policies and leadership models. The participatory leadership model provides a great opportunity for the formation of a total channel communication pattern. With this pattern, coordination is one of the things that becomes an added value so that in its implementation it can increase work comfort in an institution, including in the TV Peduli environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa Gen Z FUAD IAIN Kendari terhadap isi konten dakwah Ustadz Hanan Attaki tentang terapi mental dan obat stres, serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh mahasiswa Gen Z yang saat ini kerap dihadapkan pada tekanan akademik, overthinking, dan perasaan kosong yang berdampak pada kesehatan mental mereka. Kondisi ini mendorong sebagian mahasiswa mencari jalan keluar melalui dakwah digital. Salah satu yang diminati adalah konten dakwah Ustadz Hanan Attaki di YouTube, yang dinilai berbeda karena selain menyampaikan nilai-nilai agama juga membahas persoalan sehari-hari yang dekat dengan mahasiswa, termasuk terapi mental dan obat stres, dengan cara santai, relevan, dan menyentuh hati. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang ditujukan kepada mahasiswa Gen Z FUAD IAIN Kendari yang aktif menonton konten dakwah tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa menilai konten dakwah Ustadz Hanan Attaki memberikan dampak positif dan signifikan dalam mengurangi stres, menenangkan hati, serta memotivasi diri. Empat pendekatan utama yang dirasakan yaitu Mode Chill Syukur, Soul Time with Allah, Level Up Diri, dan Refresh Soul. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi persepsi mahasiswa meliputi latar belakang keagamaan, pengalaman pribadi, dan lingkungan sosial. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa konten dakwah Ustadz Hanan Attaki tidak hanya menjadi media penyampai ajaran agama, tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai sarana terapi mental dan obat stres yang relevan bagi mahasiswa Gen Z.

Abstract

The childfree phenomenon, defined as a conscious decision not to have children, has sparked public debate, especially after influencer Gita Savitri Devi (Gitasav) openly expressed her views on social media. Generation Z, who grew up in the digital era, represents an interesting group to study because they have extensive access to information and are accustomed to shaping opinions through social media platforms. This research aims to analyze Gen Z’s reception of the childfree discourse in Gitasav’s content using Stuart Hall’s reception theory, which categorizes audience responses into three positions: dominant hegemonic position, negotiated position, and oppositional position. The study employs a qualitative approach with the reception study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with five Gen Z informants who are students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. The results show that Gen Z’s reception is divided into three main positions: (1) full acceptance of the childfree perspective as a form of individual freedom (dominant position), (2) selective acceptance by aligning it with cultural and religious values (negotiated position), and (3) complete rejection based on religious norms and social traditions (oppositional position). Factors such as religious background, cultural values, personal experiences, and the intensity of social media exposure influence the formation of these receptions. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the forms of intercultural communication adaptation and identify the obstacles faced by Papuan students in adapting to the campus environment. This study used a qualitative approach with a focus on the adaptation experiences of Papuan students. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with Papuan students who had studied for at least one year at the Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. The results of the study showed that Papuan students faced various adaptation challenges, especially in terms of language and cultural differences. The forms of adaptation carried out included adjusting communication styles, learning local languages, and efforts to understand local cultural values. The main obstacles encountered were difficulties in understanding local dialects, differences in communication methods, and challenges in building social interactions with other students. This study contributes to the understanding of the process of intercultural communication adaptation and can be a reference in developing adaptation for students from different cultural backgrounds.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interrelation between bureaucratic communication systems, leadership styles, and the effectiveness of government political communication during the first year of the Merah Putih Cabinet. Using a qualitative approach and a literature review method, this research draws upon previous studies, national research institute reports, and official government data. The analysis is conducted through thematic and interpretive comparison of organizational communication theories and political communication theories. The findings indicate that although the Prabowo–Gibran administration has succeeded in maintaining political stability and achieving positive economic growth, communication effectiveness across government institutions and consistency in public messaging remain significant challenges. Communication incongruence between ministries reflects weak horizontal bureaucratic coordination. From a political communication perspective, frequent spontaneous and controversial public statements by key government officials including the President have not strengthened public trust; instead, they reveal issues of insensitivity and highlight hierarchical power dynamics in policy‐making. In summary, this article identifies five key communication issues in the Merah Putih Cabinet: misaligned government agenda setting, technocratic communication delivered out of context, echo chamber tendencies leading to tone‐deaf messaging, reliance on the magic bullet paradigm viewing the public as passive recipients, and concerns regarding transparency and credibility of officials. Therefore, it is essential for the government to strengthen a national communication strategy that fosters two‐way communication between the state and the public.
