Sintaks: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is a peer-reviewed journal by Medan Resource Center. Abstract

This study endeavors to develop Audio Visual-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) for poetry writing material in class X at SMA Al-Washliyah Pasar Senen Medan. Employing the Research and Development (R&D) model, the study encompasses five steps: information gathering, product development, validation testing, product revision, and product testing. Data collection utilized a total sampling technique, testing 22 students in class X. Assessment percentages for the developed LKPD were: material validator one 77%, material validator two 79%, media validator one 95%, media validator two 84%, all judged proper. The student response questionnaire yielded an 84% score in the appropriate category. Analysis of poetry writing answer sheets revealed 17 students scoring above 75, with 5 below. Overall, results from the validator questionnaire test, feasibility questionnaire, and poetry writing analysis support the suitability of LKPD based on Audio Visual as an effective learning medium.

Abstract

This study aimed to depict the development, validation, and feasibility of employing Scrapbook learning media for biographical text material in class X SIVIA at SMA Istiqlal, Deli Tua. Utilizing the Research and Development (R&D) approach following the Borg and Gall model, including needs analysis, media development planning, validation, design improvement, product testing, and product revision, involving 150 students. Purposive sampling was employed, with 26 students selected. Both qualitative and quantitative data were collected. The outcome is a Scrapbook-based teaching material. Material expert validation I resulted in a "Good" categorization at 79%, while Material expert validation II reached 82%, indicating a "Good" rating. Design expert I yielded an 80% rating, also "Good," while Design expert II achieved a "Very Good" score at 86%. Teacher responses rated at 82% were deemed "Good," and student responses, totaling 87%, were "Very Good." Trial results from 26 students demonstrated improved learning outcomes using Scrapbook teaching materials.

Abstract

This study aimed to enhance short story writing skills among class XI students at SMK Musda Perbaungan. The population comprised 481 students, with a sample size of 32 students from class XI TKJ 1. Data collection involved observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Research followed the Borg and Gall's 10-stage research and development (R&D) model. Results indicated that note-taking assisted learning media could improve short story writing skills. Material experts rated the media as "Decent" (84% for expert 1, 78% for expert 2), while media experts rated it as "Very Decent" (91% for expert 1, 90% for expert 2). A field test with 32 students showed the effectiveness of learning media, particularly Google Keep, with an "Effective" rating of 80.09% for short story writing evaluation. This underscores the potential of note-taking assisted learning media in enhancing writing skills, suggesting its viability as an effective tool in classroom instruction for narrative composition.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and assess the feasibility of learning media assisted by the VN application for identifying information in explanatory texts in class XI MIPA-1 MAS at Univa Project Medan, based on evaluations from media and material experts. The student population included classes XI MIPA-1, XI MIPA-2, and XI IIS, with data collected through questionnaires and interviews. Utilizing the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), the research indicated that the VN application-based learning media effectively facilitated information identification in the explanatory texts, meeting feasibility criteria. Media experts rated the validity at 94%, while material experts rated it at 86%. Teachers' evaluation averaged at 92%, and students responded positively with an average score of 93%. In conclusion, the VN application-supported learning media for identifying information in explanatory texts is valid and suitable for classroom use in class XI MIPA-1 MAS at Univa Project Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development process and feasibility of Wordwall learning media in short story texts for XI grade students at MAS Project Univa Medan. The population comprised students from XI MIPA 1, XI MIPA 2, XI IIS, and XI IIA, totaling 100 students, with a sample of 31 students from class XI IIS. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires to explore learning website-based short story material on Wordwall media. Following the Research and Development (R&D) model by Borg and Gall, the study progressed through stages including information gathering, product development, validation test, product revision, and product trial. Results show that Wordwall learning media for short story texts in XI MAS Project Univa Medan are highly feasible. Material experts rated it "Decent" (80%) and "Very Decent" (86%), while media experts rated it "Very Decent" (94%) and (93%), and teachers rated it "Very Decent" (91%). Field implementation tests with 31 students yielded a "Very Feasible" rating (90%). Evaluation tests indicated Wordwall's effectiveness in short story texts, with a "Very Effective" rating (90%).
