Abstract

This research article discusses strategies for overcoming anxiety in speaking English as developed by Kondo and Ying-Ling (2004), those are; Preparation, Positive Thinking, Relaxation, Peer Seeking and Resignation. The study aims to address the anxiety frequently experienced by students as foreign language speakers when speaking English. This learning strategy model is expected to alleviate these issues so that students no longer feel anxiety when speaking English as a second language.

Abstract

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia are one of the business sectors that can help the government provide employment opportunities for the community. In order to keep Indonesia's economy moving forward, the government has allocated a lot of funds to encourage the millennial generation to become entrepreneurs, especially in technology-based businesses such as startups. This is a training event aimed at MSME players. The target is to increase the ability of MSME players to develop their businesses with the help of information technology. They will be taught about financial management and e-commerce, and will become more proficient in using IT. The people who took part came from sub-districts in Karawang Regency. This MSME course involves fifty people. Mie Gacoan Karawang MSME employees gain an understanding of e-commerce and the importance of technology to develop MSME products so they can increase income. One way to carry out these activities is to use various promotional platforms available such as YouTube, Instagram and Google Business. MSME participants can learn the basics of using this platform..

Abstract

Long distance interpersonal communication between children and parents has become an important discussion in the current modern era. This article examines changes in communication and the impact of technology and strategies for maintaining strong relationships despite being separated in different locations. This article aims to understand how this communication technique works, especially among students who live far from their parents. This article reveals that there are various kinds of families with different communication patterns, including technologically challenged career families and broken homes. Barriers such as economic factors, professional time and communication networks often influence the effectiveness of communication. The results of this article show that established communication patterns can strengthen or weaken the emotional relationship between children and parents. depends on how effectively they communicate despite being separated by distance and this article provides insight into the importance of long-distance interpersonal communication and its impact on family relationship dynamics. It is hoped that these results can be a guide for families experiencing similar situations to improve the quality of their communication

Abstract

Breast cancer awareness is a critical component of women's health promotion, aiming to increase knowledge about the disease, its risk factors, and early detection methods. This program was designed to raise awareness about breast cancer among women through information dissemination, leaflets, and pre-test and post-test evaluations. Drawing on existing research, the program emphasizes the importance of early detection through regular self-examination and screening. Studies have shown that public health campaigns can effectively initiate behavior change and improve health beliefs related to breast cancer screening. By leveraging insights from previous campaigns and research, this program seeks to empower women to prioritize their breast health, enhance awareness, and promote early detection strategies. The abstract highlights the significance of tailored interventions, community engagement, and targeted awareness initiatives in addressing the growing concern of breast cancer among women.

Abstract

Language is the most important interaction tool in people's lives to interact with other communities. In the linguistic aspect, there is often a diversity of languages in a society. This is due to the factors of a heterogeneous society. For this reason, the author raised the theme of language variation in this study. This research focuses on the variety of languages used by students of PBSI, UIN Jakarta in communicating with each other through the Whatsapp platform. Social media platforms, one of which is the digital communication media platform Whatsapp, can cause a community to experience language variations, namely through a variety of writing. In this study, the research method used was a qualitative descriptive method and the data collection technique carried out was to collect data through the Whatsapp Group of PBSI Students, then classified, analyzed and described. It can be concluded that the most common language variations used by PBSI Students are Mixed Codes, Slang, and Acronyms with a total of 19 data. Mix Code as much as 9 data, Slang as much as 5 data, and Acronyms as much as 5 data.
