Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effet of vermicompost dosage the growth and yield of red spinach. This experiment was conducted in the field of Merapi Organic Farm which is located in Balangan Village (Wukirsari, Cangkringan sub district Sleman regency, Yogyakarta). The altitude is about 500 meters above sea level with temperature between 230C–290C and the soil type is regosol. The experiment layed out a complete randomized block design, the experiment arranged in split plot and laid out in randomized complete block design. The main plot was  light intensity i.e. 100 %, 75% and 65%. The subplot was dosage of vermicompost i.e. 5.0, 7.5 and10 tons per hectare, and each treatment was repeated three times. Variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, stem diameter, fresh and dry weight of plant, chlorophyll content and yield per hectare. The results showed that there is no interaction between those two factors on the growth and yield but chlorophyll content. The high intensity of light giving growth and high yield, but vermicompost did not significantly affect the growth and yield of red spinach.

Abstract

This research aim to know the effect of essential oil and its concentrations on the growth of banana plantlets. The experiment has been done in tissue culture laboratory of banana germplasm unit in Yogyakarta Spesial Territory (DIY). This study has been done in September until November 2016. It was a 3 x 3 factorial experiment and one control, arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with three replicates. The treatment consists two factors. The first factor is essential oil consisting of three kinds of essential oil i. e. clove oil, gandapura oil, and red ginger oil. The second factor is the concentration of essential oil which is 500, 750, and 1,000 ppm. Each treatment consisted of three bottles. The explant were obtained from 6 months old subculture. Variables observed were changes in plantlets height, fresh weight and dry weight of plantlets, root number of plantlets, and number of new growing plantlets. The results showed there’s no interaction between kinds and concentration of essential oil on the growth of banana plantain plantlets. The effect of red ginger oil on plantlets growth is better than clove and gandapura oil. Red ginger oil cause new plantlets grow faster and the concentration of 500 ppm yield the highest number of new growing plantlets.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of kinds and dosage of manure application on the growth and yield of pakchoy. The experiment was conducted in a the field of Merapi Organic Farm, located in Balangan Wukirsari village, Cangkringan, Sleman Yogyakarta. The altitude is 500 meters above sea level with temperature of 23 0C - 29 0C and regosol soil type. This research was conducted in October through December 2016. The experiment was a factorial 2 x 3 and one control, arranged in a randomized complete block design. The treatment consists of two factors, the first factor consists of two kinds: namely  vermicompost and cow manure. The second factor is the dose of organic manure: 5 ton, 10 ton and 15 ton per hectare. Each treatment was repeated three times. Variables observed were plant height, leaf number, leaf area, plant fresh weight, root fresh weight, dry weight of plants, root dry weight and yield per hectare. The analysis showed that no interaction effect between the two factors on the growth and yield. Various kinds and dose of  manure showed no significant effect on the growth and yield, per hectare. The application of manure significantly affected plant height and plant fresh weight.

Abstract

Study on the influence of seed and planting systems on rice (Oryza sativa L.) yield, aims to the determine the combination between seed classes with appropriate cropping systems in order to obtain maximum yield. The experiment was conducted in Jambidan village, Banguntapan subdistrict, Yogyakarta. The altitude is 100 m above sea level. The study has been done in October to December 2015. The rice variety used in this study was Ciherang. The treatment design used was a 3x3 factorial arranged in a randomized complete block design with three replicates. The first factor was the seed class of foundation seed, stock seed and certified seed. The second factor was the planting system consisting of three levels, namely tiles, legowo 1, and Legowo 4: 1. The variables observed were plant height, number of productive tiller, panicle length, number of grains per panicle, number of empty grains per panicle, and yield per hectare. Foundation seed produced maximum yield of 10.84 tons per hectare, then stock seeds of 10.47 tons per hectare, and certified seed yielding 9.76 tons per hectare. Planting system Legowo 2: 1 gave the highest yield of 11.06 tons per hectare, and planting system Legowo 4: 1 produced 10.59 tons per hectare, while tile system produced 9.40 tons per hectare.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the waste tofu and EM4 on the growth and yield chinese green mustard. The experiment was conducted in the field of Merapi Organic Farm, located in Balangan Wukirsari village, Cangkringan, Sleman Yogyakarta. The altitude is 500 meters above sea level with temperature of 23 0C - 29 0C and regosol soil type. This research was conducted in October through December 2016. The experiment was a factorial 4 x 2 and one control, arranged in a randomized complete block design. The treatment consists of two factors, the first factor is the concentration of waste tofu. The second factor is EM4 and without adding EM4. Each treatment was repeated three times. Observations included plant height, leaf number, fresh weight of canopy, fresh root weight, dry weight of canopy, root dry weight, dry weight of plant and yield per hectare. The result of analysis shows that there is no interaction between the two factors on growth and yield variables. Provision of waste tofu and EM4 showed no real effect on growth and crop yields

Abstract

The research aims to study the interaction, effectivness dosage and concentration of biofertilizer diversity, to growth and production of mungbean. This reasearch was conducted in Wedomartani, Special Region of Yogyakarta in Oktober to Desember  2015, altitude of 120 m above sea level, temperature 24-32o C, relative humidity (RH) 73-89%, C2 Climate and Annual rainfall + 2.000 mm. The type of soil used Regosol and Kambisol, pH 6-7. The research was arranged in RCBD (Random Complete Block Design) in two factorial with three replicaton. The first factor was Rhzobium sp.’ dosage, with two level were 7,5 gram, and 15 gram per kg seedling. The second factor was liquid biofertilizer’ concentration , with four level were 0 %, 2,5%, 5%, and 7,5 %. Growth observation variable were plant height, number of nodules, nodule weight, number of effective nodule, number of leaves, leaf area, fresh weight, dry weight, and the number of pods. Production observation variable were fresh pod weight, dry pod weight, the amount of fresh seeds per pod, pods weight per plot, 100 seeds weight, harvest index, and leaf area index. Statistical analysis conducted on all data observations using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) at the significant level of 5% followed by DMRT (Duncan’s Multiple Range Test) at the significant level of 5%. The results showed the combination have interaction and effectivness in adding biofertilizer diversity in growth and production of mungbean. The best treatment dosage and concentration in growth and production was 7,5g/kg Rhizobium sp., and 7,5% liquid biofertilizer’ concentration

Abstract

This study on the effect of the addition of coconut water and sugar water in a variety of growing media on growth and yield of white oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) has been carried out at home Current Mushrooms, Jln. Merapi Golf West, Gambretan village, Umbulharjo village, Cangkringan sub-district, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The purpose of research is to study the potential powder salaried and rice husk as alternative growth medium oyster mushroom, studied the effects of a dose of coconut water and sugar water to the increased productivity of oyster mushrooms, and studying the interaction between the kinds of media and dosage of coconut water and sugar water on growth and yield mushrooms oyster. This research is compiled in a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial, with three replications. The first factor is the material planting medium consists of two levels of media sebuk saws (S1) of 100 kg and media rice husk (S2) of 100 kg and factors that both doses of coconut water and sugar water consists of five levels, control (without the administration of coconut water and water sugar) M0, coconut water 50 ml / baglog (M1), sugar water 50 ml / baglog (M2), coconut water is 100 ml / baglog (M3), sugar water 100 ml / baglog (M4). Variables included age observations grow mycelium, grows fruit bodies age, the number of mushroom fruit body in a clump, fresh weight of fruit weight, fruit body diameter, stem length, ferkuensi harvest, harvest interval and endurance fruit. There is interaction between types of media and the addition of nutrients to the growing mycelium variebel age, the age of the fruit body grows, the number of fruit bodies, fresh weight, diameter badan buah, stem length, interval and frequency of interaction does not occur. Wide media sawdust and rice husk as alternative growing media gave different results for the growth and production of oyster mushrooms. Each treatment nutrients to the medium that provides the most influence both the growth and production of oyster mushrooms is sawdust 100kg, rice husks 100kg produce mycelium growth full, harvest interval, body diameter of fruit, average fresh weight/baglog 426.70 g, and successive harvest interval is 14.67 days

Abstract

Onion varieties are crok kuning, grown by local communities or farmers in Bantul, Yogyakarta. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of bed height on the growth and yield of onion, determine the effect of organic and inorganic fertilizers the right to obtain a maximum yield of onion. The study was conducted in the hamlet beluran, Sidomoyo, Godean, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Altitude of 114 meters above sea level with the soil type regosol. Implementation of research at the end of April until the end of June 2016. The tools needed in this research is the hoe, rulers, scales, raffia rope, sprayer, and stationery. Materials used are onion seeds, cow manure, chicken manure, NPK 15:15:15 fertilizers, and artificial fertilizers KCl. The method used was a complete randomized block design. The first factor is the kind of bed height (B) consisting of B1 = 50 cm B2 = 40 cm B3 = 60cm, factor two is kind of manure (P) consisting of P1 = Land P2 = Cow 10 ton/hectare P3 = Chicken 10 ton/hectare, third factor is the kind of chemical fertilizer (K) consisting of K1 = NPK 625 kg/hectare K2 = KCl 100 kg/hectare. Parameters observed that the number of leaves, plant height, plant fresh weight, dry weight of the plant, tuber weight each hill, tuber number each panicle, weight of tuber each hectare. The results show each bed height is not significantly different to the onion crop yield. Cow manure in the mix with a mean weight of KCl get the best dry plants. Fertilizer treatment was not significantly different results with soil medium (control)

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of dosage of organic matter and soil tilage depth on the growth and yield of jack bean in grumusol soil. This research was carried out in UPTD field of Food andDevelopment Center,  Jl. Yogyakarta-wonosari km 33, playen, gading, Gunungkidul district, special province of Yogyakarta. The area is located at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level with daily  temperature between 23-32 0C. The research was conducted from February - July 2017. This research was conducted by using 3 x 3 factorial experiment which was arranged in Completely Randomized Block Design (RAKL). The treatment consists of 2 factors, the first factor was the soil tilage depth  consisted of 3 levels namely the depth of 0.15, and 30 cm. The second factor plana the application of green manure of gamal consisting of three levels, namely 10,15, and 20 ton ha-1. Each treatment was repeated 3 times. Observations included plant height, number of leaves, number of flowers, dry weight of plants, number of pods per plant, one hundred seeds weight, dry pods per plant, pod length per plant, seed yield per  plot, and seed yield  Ha-1. Results indicated thanthere was an interaction between the dosage of green manure and thesoil tilage depth on the yield of jack bean Ha-1. The best result was in the treatment combination of green gamal fertilizer with a dose of 30 tons Ha-1 with soil tilage depth of 20 cm. Abstract

This research aimed to know the influence combination of AB Mix and Organic Liquid Fertilizer (POC) made from goat manure on the growth and yield of the mustard by hydroponic. This reseach conducted by single factor experiment which arranged by Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) which consisted of 4 treatment levels. The first treatment was AB Mix without POC as control, the second treatment was AB Mix + POC (v/v = 3:1), the third treatment was AB Mix + POC (v/v = 1:1), the fourth treatment was AB Mix + POC (v/v = 1:3). The data analysis used analysis of variance (variance analysis) which continued by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) of 5% significance.  The research results showed that there was significant by difference result of the plant height, the number of leaves, the width of leaf, the fresh weight, the dry weight, and chlorophyll content. The results indicated that the treatment of AB Mix without POC as control and the treatment combination  of AB Mix + POC (v/v = 3:1) gave same results but both of the treatments gave better result that of the treatment combination of AB Mix + POC (v/v = 1:1) and the treatment combination of AB Mix + POC (v/v = 1:3). The treatment of AB Mix without POC or control showed the lower result of chlorophyll content than the combination of AB Mix + POC
