Abstract

Talent attraction and employee retention are important for the success of transportation companies, particularly in Anambra State, Nigeria. This study aimed to identify key aspects influencing talent attraction and retention, and to examine the correlation between these factors. This study used a descriptive correlational research design. The sample comprised of 110 employees selected via stratified random sampling from a population of approximately 1,500 workers from selected transportation companies in Anambra State. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire, validated by experts, and found reliable with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.85. Descriptive and inferential statistics, including Pearson’s correlation and bootstrap methods, were used for data analysis. Descriptive statistics revealed that competitive salary packages (mean = 1.69), work-life balance initiatives (mean = 3.40), and career growth opportunities (mean = 2.98) were key aspects of talent attraction. Similarly, employee retention was significantly influenced by factors such as job satisfaction (mean = 3.34), adequate compensation packages (mean = 3.30), and positive work environment (mean = 3.35). The correlation analysis showed a moderate positive relationship between talent attraction and employee retention (Pearson correlation = 0.579, p < 0.01). This finding indicates that companies that successfully attract talent are more likely to retain employees over the long term. The results suggested that transportation companies in Anambra State should focus on enhancing both talent attraction and retention strategies to improve organizational performance and reduce turnover. Future research could further investigate the role of leadership and organizational culture in enhancing retention within this industry.

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of communication on employee job satisfaction at MTN Zonal Office, Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria. Specifically, the objectives were to evaluate the effect of communication channels on employee job satisfaction, examine the influence of technological communication tools on employee job satisfaction, and investigate the effect of internal communication on employee job satisfaction. Conceptual reviews indicated that effective communication channels enhance clarity and employee alignment with organizational goals, while technological tools foster efficiency and inclusivity. Internal communication fosters trust and collaboration, leading to higher job satisfaction. The study employed a survey research design with a sample size of 50 employees using a complete enumeration sampling technique. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. Findings revealed a significant positive relationship between communication channels and employee job satisfaction (B = 0.456, p-value = 0.001), a significant influence of technological communication tools on employee job satisfaction (B = 0.527, p-value = 0.000), and a significant effect of internal communication on employee job satisfaction (B = 0.374, p-value = 0.000). The study concludes that communication is a critical factor in fostering job satisfaction. Recommendations include adopting advanced communication technologies, implementing regular feedback mechanisms, and conducting training programs to enhance communication effectiveness and employee engagement.

Abstract

Peneliti melakukan observasi di SMPN 14 Malang terkait dengan cara guru mengajar kepada siswa, terutama mata pelajaran informatika. Penulis memperoleh keterangan bahwa guru mengajarkan materi informatika kepada siswa dengan cara sederhana menggunakan metode ceramah satu arah, sehingga pelajaran dianggap menjemukan dan siswa mudah mengalami kebosanan. Salah satu alternative metode pembelajaran ialah memakai teka teki silang (TTS) sebagai penerapan media untuk pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk melakukan asesmen terhadap penerapan TTS pada mata pelajaran informatika. hasil dari penelitian diketahui bahwa penggunaan media teka teki silang pada pelajaran informatika mampu memberikan dorongan antusiasme kepada siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Siswa lebih menyukai pembelajaran menggunakan metode teka teki sialng dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional, serta sebanyak 70 % siswa lebih faham jika diberikan materi menggunakan metode teka teki silang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis korelasi antara volatilitas saham PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI) dan tingkat inflasi di Indonesia. Volatilitas saham digunakan sebagai indikator ketidakstabilan pasar, sementara inflasi mencerminkan perubahan tingkat harga umum dalam perekonomian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu indeks harga saham PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk dan nilai inflasi secara bulanan yang diambil dari Bank Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara tingkat inflasi dan pergerakan harga saham MAPI. Namun, ditemukan korelasi positif yang sangat lemah, mengindikasikan potensi arah hubungan yang perlu dieksplorasi lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan wawasan bagi investor dan akademisi tentang dinamika hubungan antara inflasi dan volatilitas saham dalam pasar keuangan Indonesia.

Abstract

Artikel ini menganalisis volatilitas indeks harga saham dan indikator ekonomi makro Indonesia dalam konteks optimisme pertumbuhan ekonomi yang diperkirakan mencapai 8% per tahun. Volatilitas pasar saham dan fluktuasi indikator makro seperti inflasi, suku bunga, dan angka pengangguran dapat memengaruhi stabilitas sektor keuangan yang menjadi tulang punggung perekonomian nasional. Melalui analisis data historis IHSG, indikator ekonomi, dan return saham sektor keuangan, artikel ini mengkaji hubungan antara volatilitas pasar dengan kondisi perekonomian. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa volatilitas yang tinggi cenderung terjadi pada saat ketidakpastian ekonomi, namun sektor keuangan Indonesia tetap menunjukkan ketahanan. Artikel ini juga mengusulkan strategi yang didasarkan pada ekspektasi rasional untuk menghadapi tantangan dalam kondisi VUCA dan mendukung stabilitas ekonomi jangka panjang.
