Abstract

Background: Disasters have led to the emergence of various diseases and health threats, causing a health crisis, especially for women and girls who are disproportionately affected by disruptions to sexual and reproductive health services among vulnerable populations. Various guidelines and regulations that are available and implemented nationally are expected to reduce morbidity and mortality rates as well as various safety risks that arise, especially those related to reproductive health in health crisis situations. The Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Health, has developed technical guidelines for minimum initial service packages (MISP) since 2014 and implemented them for the first time in 2018. Bantul Regency, particularly the Imogiri sub-district, is an area with a high frequency of disasters and was one of the areas affected by disasters in 2025. The objective of this study is to determine the implementation of minimum initial service packages (MISP) in practice and the suitability of their implementation with available policies, particularly in the Imogiri sub-district of Bantul Regency. Method: This study used a qualitative approach with inductive content analysis. The research subjects involved were elements of the Bantul Health Office, the Health Crisis Center Coordinator at primary health care, the Head of Wukirsari Village, Health Cadres, and beneficiary communities in the Imogiri sub-district. Data collection was carried out using in-depth interviews and semi-structured questions. Results: This study measured and assessed the status and level of program implementation, distribution of facilities and infrastructure (MISP kits), implementation of data collection, documentation, and coordination activities, program education and socialization, as well as challenges during program implementation. Conclusion: The implementation of the minimum initial service package (MISP) for reproductive health in Bantul district is not yet in accordance with the policies that have been established nationally. The main obstacles to the implementation of this program are policies, commitment, and funding at the provincial level.

Abstract

Background: Omeprazole and lansoprazole, both proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), are widely used to manage gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with comparable outcomes. However, lansoprazole may provide faster symptom relief. This study aimed to compare the clinical effectiveness of omeprazole and lansoprazole in GERD patients. Method: This observational retrospective cohort study included hospitalized GERD patients at Raden Mattaher Regional Hospital, Jambi, from 2022 to 2024. A total of 117 patients were selected using consecutive sampling. Data were obtained from medical records and analyzed using SPSS version 25. Results: Most patients were aged 40-59 years (42.7%), female (55.6%), unemployed (55.8%), high school (51.7%), National Health Insurance (93.2%), non-erosive GERD (91.1%), no comorbidities (56.4%), normal BMI (84.2%), average vital signs included blood pressure (130.0 mmHg), pulse (88.0 x/minute), respiration rate (20.0 x/minute), body temperature (36.4°C). The clinical outcome showed negative endoscopic findings (91.1%), length of stay ≤7 days (80.3%) median 5 days. There were no statistically significant differences in clinical improvement between omeprazole and lansoprazole nor type of drug, length of stay, age, gender, grade, occupation or comorbidities (p > 0.05). Conclusions: The analysis showed no statistically significant difference in clinical outcomes between omeprazole and lansoprazole, indicating comparable effectiveness of both proton pump inhibitors in the improvement of GERD symptoms.

Abstract

Background: Mulberry (Morus alba L.) leaves are widely consumed as herbal infusions and have been traditionally associated with various health benefits. However, systematic evaluation of the phytochemical composition and cytotoxic potential of the leaf infusion remains limited. Objective: This study aimed to determine the phytochemical composition and evaluate the anticancer potential of mulberry leaf infusion using the Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method. Method: Dried mulberry leaves were extracted by infusion using water as the solvent. Dried mulberry leaves were extracted by infusion using water as the solvent. Toxicity evaluation was conducted using Artemia salina Leach larvae. Each concentration (10 - 640 µg/mL) was tested in triplicate (n= 3), with twenty larvae used per replicate. Mortality was recorded after 24 and 48 h, and the median inhibitory concentration (IC₅₀) was calculated using probit analysis and a paired t-test analysis was performed to evaluate the significance (p < 0.05). Results: Phytochemical screening revealed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, and saponins, while terpenoids were absent. The IC₅₀ values obtained for the infusion were 169.34 ± 10.79 µg/mL after 24 h and 146.66 ± 17.49 µg/mL after 48 h of exposure. No significant difference was observed between incubation periods (p > 0.05). Conclusion: Mulberry leaf infusion demonstrated moderate cytotoxicity in the BSLT assay, supporting its potential as a natural anticancer candidate.

Abstract

Background: Low back pain (LBP) is one of the musculoskeletal complaints commonly experienced by workers in various industrial sectors. This condition can reduce work productivity, increase absenteeism, and impact the quality of life of employees. Several factors contribute to the emergence of LBP complaints, including age, length of service, and work posture. Method: This study is a quantitative study using a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study consisted of 39 employees obtained using total sampling. Data in this study were obtained using interviews and observations with a questionnaire as the research instrument, then analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between age, length of service, and work attitude with complaints of low back pain among employees. The results of the analysis of length of service and low back pain complaints showed a p-value of 0.011, while the results of the analysis of length of service and low back pain complaints showed a p-value of 0.000. The results of the analysis of work attitude and low back pain complaints showed a p-value of 0.000. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between age, length of service, and work attitude with the incidence of low back pain among employes.

Abstract

Background: Pregnant women's perceptions of the quality of Antenatal Care (ANC) services are important indicators in improving the utilization and quality of maternal health services. Educational approaches that actively involve participants, such as collaborative learning, can improve understanding and shape more positive perceptions toward health services. Through interaction, discussion, and experience sharing among participants, collaborative learning may enhance pregnant women's awareness and evaluation of ANC services. Methods: This quasi-experimental study used a one-group pre-test and post-test design involving 97 pregnant women in the working area of Puskesmas Aur Duri, Jambi City, in 2025. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire and analyzed using univariate analysis and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results: The mean perception score increased from 97.67 before the intervention to 108.55 after the collaborative learning intervention. The Wilcoxon test showed a statistically significant difference (Z = -6.013; p < 0.0001). Most respondents experienced an increase in perception scores, with an effect size of 0.61, indicating a large effect. Conclusion: Collaborative learning is effective in improving pregnant women's perceptions of the quality of ANC services and can be applied as an educational strategy to support improvements in maternal health services.
