Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the relationship between the effectiveness of "CERDIK" behavior (Health Check, Get Rid of Cigarette Smoke, Diligent Physical Activity, Balanced Diet, Get Enough Rest, and Manage Stress) in efforts to control hypertension in productive age in the Jombang Health Center Working Area of Cilegon City in 2023. The study used quantitative methods with descriptive, analytical and cross-sectional design types of research. The study population involved hypertensive patients of productive age recorded in the working area of the Jombang Health Center, Cilegon, with a total of 30 patients. Data collection was conducted through interviews and questionnaire filling. The p values of the independent t-test are 0.000, 0.000, 0.000, and 0.000, respectively for Education, Knowledge, Family Support, Eliminating Cigarette Smoke and Diligent Physical Activity. The results of statistical analysis show a relationship between these variables in respondents' behavior with hypertension control at productive age. There were significant differences in diastolic and systolic blood pressure between the group that underwent the "CERDIK" behavior and the group that did not. The group that adopted the "DODGY" behavior had lower blood pressure. The conclusion of this study is that "SMART" behavior has an important role in controlling hypertension in productive age. Therefore, health education resources and efforts need to be increased, especially in groups with less education, to increase awareness and application of "SMART" behaviors. This research contributes to understanding the importance of healthy behavior in controlling hypertension in productive age. The increasing prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia and its significant impact shows the urgency of increasing health awareness and education in the community.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by the Mycobacterium Tuberculosis (MTB) germ. Tuberculosis is transmitted through the air from infectious tuberculosis patients to those around them. One bacteriologically confirmed tuberculosis patient who is not properly and qualitatively treated can infect about 10 people per year (Ministry of Internal Affairs RI, 2019). Banten is one of the provinces with a high number of tuberculosis sufferers on the island of Java. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RI in 2019, 223 people were infected with tuberculosis per 100,000 inhabitants, above the national average of 203 people per 100,000 population (Kemenkes RI, 2019). However, of the total number of Tuberculosis sufferers in Banten Province, only 58.3% take the drug regularly (Kemenkes RI, 2018). The causative factors of the disease include nutritional status, age, gender, environmental factors, and social factors. This type of study is an analytical study with a cross-sectional study design. to 52 samples. The results of the Chi Square test show that there is a meaningful relationship between age, level of knowledge, attitude to treatment, history of drug side effects, role of health care workers, access to health services, and family support with the level of drug adherence in TB patients.

Abstract

Global Buren of Cancer data shows data on cancer patients in the world as many as 19.3 million cases. The highest number is in breast cancer patients totaling 2.261 million cases (Globocan, 2020). Data from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in 2020, the number of new cases of breast cancer has increased and become the highest incidence of cancer in women, namely breast cancer with 665,339 new cases and 131,252 deaths from breast cancer worldwide (Globocan, 2020). The low desire of women to do BSE examination can be influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors include knowledge, attitudes and family history of cancer. As for external factors, namely sources of information and parental support. This type of research is quantitative research with a research design using a cross sectional approach. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence the behavior of conducting breast self-examination in women of childbearing age in the Bandung Health Center area, Serang Regency in 2023. By using the total sampling technique, the determination of the sample obtained was as many as 120 mothers who met the inclusion criteria. Hypertension is a condition of a person who has systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg and diastolic pressure ≥90 mmHg. The high prevalence of hypertension in the elderly group is caused because with age, resulting in a decrease in physiological functions of the body, so that non-communicable diseases begin to appear. Hypertension control behavior is the main thing to prevent complications, such as stroke, coronary heart disease, and kidney failure. This study aims to determine the factors associated with elderly behavior in controlling hypertension. This type of research is quantitative with a cross sectional design. Independent variables are gender, education level, lifestyle. While the dependent variable is the control behavior of hypertension in the elderly. The population of all hypertensive patients recorded in the Banten Girang Health Center work area in 2023. The sample number of 100 people was selected by purposive random sampling. Statistical test using Chi square test with 95% CI and logistic regression test. The results of statistical tests showed that sex and education variables did not have a significant relationship with hypertension control behavior in the elderly (p > 0.05), while lifestyle variables with p = 0.003 OR = 4,902, and family support variables with p = 0.010 OR = 3,778 which means they have a meaningful relationship with hypertension control behavior in the elderly.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the physical condition of the home environment and history of disease with the incidence of tuberculosis or pulmonary tuberculosis in the work area of the Rangkasbitung Health Center in 2023. This study is a descriptive correlation study with cross sectional design, which is research that explores the relationship between the physical condition of the house and the behavior of residents towards the incidence of tuberculosis. The type of data used is primary data, from the results of questionnaires and secondary data obtained from recording and reporting TB patient visit data at the Rangkasbitung Health Center. Data analysis in the study, using univariate analysis with positive TB incidence results (69.2%); Bivariate analysis showed a relationship between home air circulation and the incidence of tuberculosis (P<0.028), occupancy density (P<0.011), lighting (P<0.015), humidity (P<0.020), education (P<0.002), employment (P<0.006), and smoking (P<0.009); and humidity factor being the dominant factor with the largest OR (OR=28.579). The results of the cross-sectional test in the study, showed a significant relationship between the physical condition of the home environment and the history of disease with the incidence of tuberculosis in the work area of the Rangkasbitung Health Center. Suggestions in this study are the need for education related to environmental factors and behaviors that cause tuberculosis, such as counseling about healthy homes with qualified ventilation, good lighting, good humidity, occupancy in an adequate place, and reducing cigarette use habits. Other factors that need to be improved, in order to support the reduction in TB prevalence rates, namely education and employment factors. Patients with pulmonary tuberculosis must also be given understanding, related must always be tried to be in a place that has adequate air ventilation and good humidity, in order to reduce the risk of the severity of TB disease which can lead to death or the duration of the treatment process.
