Abstract

Bidirectional navigation is required in robot delivery systems because the robot must reach a destination and return to its initial position after completing a task. Previous Petri Net studies have represented robot routes and location changes, but complete stepwise verification of outbound and return trips for multiple destinations remains limited. This study aims to develop a mathematical model and MATLAB simulation for bidirectional indoor robot delivery navigation using Petri Net and Mirror Petri Net. The model consists of 13 places, 12 transitions, one initial position, four branch points, eight destination rooms, and one token representing a robot. Eight outbound and eight return scenarios were simulated by checking enabled transitions, firing sequences, and marking changes. All eight destinations were reachable from the initial marking, and the initial position was reachable again from every destination. The outbound and return processes each required 28 firings, giving 56 firings for all round-trip tests. The model remained 1-bounded, conserved one token, made all 12 transitions accessible, and produced no unintended deadlock. The novelty lies in integrating stepwise bidirectional reachability, legal firing-sequence checking, and proper-termination verification in one MATLAB-based Mirror Petri Net framework.

Abstract

Limited knowledge and skills among early childhood education (ECE) teachers in identifying and managing children with symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) may hinder appropriate educational support. Previous studies have primarily focused on teachers' knowledge or attitudes toward ADHD, while comprehensive needs assessments to support the development of identification and intervention guidelines remain limited. This study aimed to analyze ECE teachers' needs regarding early identification and intervention as the basis for developing a practical guideline. A mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential design was employed. The participants were 69 ECE teachers in Prambanan District selected through total sampling and several interview informants selected purposively. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and interviews and analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. The findings showed that teachers frequently encountered children with ADHD symptoms, but their understanding was limited and identification practices remained informal without standardized instruments. Teachers also experienced challenges in classroom management, limited instructional time, and insufficient parental support. Most teachers lacked adequate guidelines and expressed a strong need for practical, context-specific guidance. These findings provide an empirical basis for developing early identification and intervention guidelines to improve ECE teachers' competence in supporting children with ADHD symptoms.

Abstract

Blended learning requires students to regulate their learning and use digital technologies effectively; however, academic performance remains shaped by psychological and social factors. Previous studies have tended to examine self-efficacy, perceived social support, self-regulated learning, and digital literacy separately, leaving the mechanisms connecting these factors insufficiently integrated. This study tested a model of student academic performance in blended learning, with digital literacy as a mediator. A cross-sectional quantitative design involved 449 students from three private universities in Jakarta selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using measures of academic self-efficacy, perceived social support, self-regulated learning, digital literacy, and cumulative grade point average, and were analyzed using path analysis and mediation tests. The model demonstrated excellent fit. Academic self-efficacy, perceived social support, and digital literacy had positive and significant direct effects on academic performance, whereas self-regulated learning had no significant direct effect. Digital literacy mediated the effects of academic self-efficacy and self-regulated learning on academic performance. The study's novelty lies in positioning digital literacy as a mechanism that translates students' psychological learning resources into academic achievement, while perceived social support retains a direct role in post-pandemic blended learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of Reciprocal Teaching on junior high school students' vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension ability. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The participants consisted of 60 eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Singaraja, with 30 students assigned to the experimental group and 30 students to the control group. The instrument used was a reading test consisting of multiple-choice items assessing vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired samples t-test, and independent samples t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The findings revealed that students who were taught using Reciprocal Teaching achieved significantly higher post-test scores than those who received conventional instruction. The independent samples t-test indicated significant differences in both vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension (Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05). These findings demonstrate that Reciprocal Teaching is an effective instructional strategy for improving students' vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension by promoting active participation, strategic reading, and collaborative learning.

Abstract

Waste management remains a major challenge in rural areas of developing countries, including Indonesia, due to limited system capacity and low household participation in source separation. This study aims to redesign the waste management system in Cepogo Village by integrating behavioral insights, ecosystem analysis, and a Business Process Reengineering (BPR) approach. A mixed-methods approach was applied, combining field observations, semi-structured interviews, document analysis, scenario-based simulation, and financial feasibility assessment. The results show that the existing system is dominated by direct disposal to landfill due to low household sorting practices, dependence on downstream sorting at the TPS 3R, and increasing operational burdens that lead to a monthly financial deficit. Ecosystem analysis identifies key bottlenecks, including inconsistent sorting behavior, limited institutional regulation, and operational constraints in collection and processing. Simulation results indicate that increasing household waste separation can reduce landfill dependence, improve material recovery, and enhance financial performance. Financial analysis demonstrates a transition from deficit conditions to potential surplus across intervention scenarios, with payback periods ranging from 1.7 to 0.7 years. These findings highlight the importance of integrating behavioral, institutional, and technical interventions to improve sustainable rural waste management systems.

Abstract

Supercapacitors are attracting growing interest as energy storage devices owing to their high power density and long cycle life. Their performance depends strongly on the electrode material, particularly activated carbon with its complex pore architecture. The relationship between characterization parameters and both specific capacitance (Cs) and equivalent series resistance (ESR) is non-linear and difficult to model conventionally. This study develops a predictive model based on an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) using secondary data from forty samples reported in international scientific literature. Input variables comprise specific surface area (SBET), pore volume (Vp), pore diameter (Dp), crystallite size, diffraction angle, and surface functional groups, with the dataset partitioned at a ratio of 80:20 for training and testing. Evaluation demonstrates that ANFIS attains a coefficient of determination of 0.9851 for Cs and 0.9901 for ESR, surpassing Random Forest across every metric. ANFIS yields RMSE = 8.8 F/g and MAE = 4.5 F/g for Cs, and RMSE = 0.08 Ω and MAE = 0.04 Ω for ESR. Surface plot analysis reveals a synergistic interaction between SBET and Vp on Cs and the effect of crystal structure on ESR. The model captures complex relationships accurately while remaining interpretable through membership functions and fuzzy rules.

Abstract

Work-life balance is an essential aspect of the well-being of working mothers, particularly those with children in the golden age (0–5 years), as they face substantial demands from both work and childcare responsibilities. The ability to maintain a balance between work and family life is influenced by various factors, including social support and family-to-work enrichment. This study aimed to examine the relationship between social support and work-life balance, with family-to-work enrichment serving as a mediating variable among working mothers with one child in the golden age (0–5 years). This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The participants consisted of 253 working mothers with one child aged 0–5 years, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments included the Social Support Scale, the Family-to-Work Enrichment Scale, and the Work-Life Balance Scale. Data were analyzed using Hayes' PROCESS Macro Model 4. The findings revealed that social support was positively associated with work-life balance. In addition, social support was positively associated with family-to-work enrichment, and family-to-work enrichment was positively associated with work-life balance. However, the mediation analysis indicated that family-to-work enrichment did not mediate the relationship between social support and work-life balance among working mothers with children in the golden age (0–5 years). These findings suggest that efforts to enhance work-life balance among working mothers should focus on strengthening social support from family members, spouses, coworkers, and organizations. Furthermore, future research is encouraged to investigate other mechanisms that may better explain the relationship between social support and work-life balance.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of preserving and strengthening regional cultural identity through performing arts. Ambu Sakanti Dance, created by Sanggar Seni Perwitasari in Tegal City, represents local cultural values through movement, music, makeup and costumes, and props. However, no study has specifically examined cultural identity in the form of Ambu Sakanti Dance. This study aims to examine the cultural identity embodied in the dance form, including theme, movement, dancers, floor patterns, music, makeup and costumes, and props. The novelty of this research lies in applying an ethnocoreological perspective to analyze the relationship between dance form and the cultural identity of the Tegal City community. This qualitative research employed an ethnocoreological approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the cultural identity of the coastal community of Tegal City is reflected in movements inspired by fishermen’s activities, accompaniment featuring Tegalan lyrics adapted from Balo-Balo, maritime-themed makeup and costumes, floor patterns, and the use of kepis as a prop. The integration of these elements positions Ambu Sakanti Dance as a medium for representing and preserving the cultural identity of the Tegal City community.
