Abstract

This study reviews the improvement of Teacher Competence in Composing Teaching Modules through Academic Supervision at SMAS Baiturrahmah Padang. This study aims to increase teacher competence in compiling teaching modules, thereby increasing the effectiveness of achieving mastery of learning objectives by students. The method used in this study is Action Research which consists of 2 (two) cycles, and each cycle consists of Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection. The results showed that (1) in the formulation of the learning objectives indicator component, there was an increase from 61.1% in initial competence to 71.8% in cycle I and in cycle II it increased to 72.5%; (2) In the component of determining learning materials and materials, there was an increase in competence from 52.9% to 67.1% after cycle I and in cycle II it was stronger to 72.9%; (3) In the strategy and learning method selection component, there was a significant increase from the initial 56.4% to 61.2% in cycle I and increased again to 71.8% after cycle II; (4) Even though there was no sharp increase, there was also an increase in the selection of media and learning tools from 50.6% at the beginning of the activity and 58.2% after cycle I to 71.8% after cycle II; (5) We can also see a significant increase in the learning evaluation planning component. From the initial 47.0% at the beginning of the activity, it became 56.5% at the end of cycle I and managed to reach 70.6% at the end of cycle 2. Based on the acquisition of research data in this school action research activity, it was concluded that academic supervision can increase teacher competence in compiling teaching modules at SMAS Baiturrahmah Padang.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe efforts to increase students' interest in theater extracurriculars by applying the drill method at SMAN 4 Tebo. This type of research is qualitative research with a participatory approach. The research instrument was the researcher himself and assisted by supporting instruments. The supporting instruments that the researchers used in this study were in the form of documentation from field data recording devices in the form of activity photos and observation notes. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, literature study, interviews and documentation. The steps to analyze the data are collecting data, identifying data, classifying data and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the efforts made by using the concept of musical drama by applying the drill method could increase students' interest in the Theater Arts extracurricular at SMAN 4 Tebo. Another effort is to give appreciation to students. The increase was seen based on indicators of interest, namely feelings of pleasure, student involvement (active), interest, and student attention. The use of the concept of musical drama by applying the drill method in Theater Arts extracurricular activities can make the atmosphere of this activity active and structured. This can be seen through the behavior of students contained in the indicators of student interest which are getting better and increasing so that they are able to increase student interest in the Theater Arts extracurricular.

Abstract

Learning at SMA Negeri 1 Painan, especially regarding the planning and implementation of learning. To overcome this, school action research was carried out by school supervisors as supervising supervisors in the form of optimizing academic supervision and coaching in the January-July 2022 semester. This research is included in the type of action research with 4 stages of activity, planning, implementation, observation and reflection carried out during 2 cycles. The data needed in the research is netted through observation sheets and questionnaires. Data processing is carried out using the percentage formula, and data analysis is carried out quantitatively and qualitatively using tables and graphs. The results of the study show that through academic supervision there has been an increase in teacher performance in managing learning with regard to: a) Availability of teacher lesson plans components as much as 79.50% in cycle 1 increased to 100% at the end of cycle 2. b) average teacher lesson plan component quality being in the very good category increased from 42.19% in cycle 1 to 75% at the end of cycle 2, and the rest were in the good category. c) The quality of teacher learning increased from 31.3% which was in the very good category to 35% at the end cycle 2.

Abstract

Learning at SMA Negeri 1 Painan, especially the problem found in language learning was that the teacher was still weak in motivating students during PBM. This is evidenced by the fact that there are still many students who do not focus when the teaching and learning process takes place. To overcome this problem the authors conducted school action research to improve teacher competence to find the right strategy in motivating student learning. This research is entitled to improve teacher competence in motivating student learning through running dictation strategies in language lessons at SMA 1 Lunang. The purpose of this study was to see how far there was an increase in students' learning motivation and students' enjoyment of learning a language. The action is carried out in two cycles. The data were obtained from observation sheets recorded by an observer who recorded student activities observed during the learning process. Based on the research results, the percentage of students increased from cycle I to cycle II, from 65.7% to 86%. Compared to the average percentage before the study it was only 54.4 as many as 11.6% of students. It can be concluded that learning by creating a fun learning atmosphere through running dictation strategies can increase student motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of learning arts and culture (music) in class VIII.2 at SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Geringging. Researchers used qualitative research that is descriptive. The main instrument in this study was the researcher himself observing the learning process for class VIII.2 on the subject matter of music at SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Geringging. The type of data used is primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation. The steps to analyze the data are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study concluded that the process of implementing art and culture learning for music material in class VIII.2 had not gone well. This is because there are obstacles in which there are no learning media, and there is no infrastructure for musical instruments, as well as practice rooms so the teacher does not teach in accordance with the existing syllabus and lesson plan (RPP). Learning the art of music in class VIII.2 is one of them only fulfilling the core competency indicators in the syllabus, namely "understanding" traditional musical instrument material. Then the problems that occur in the class are the visible attitudes of students when participating in learning the art of music, students look bored and bored participating in learning traditional musical instruments, then there are some students who are seen often having permission to go in and out of class, chatting with their peers, ignoring the material provided teachers, so that they do not respond well to learning. Based on the results that have been concluded by researchers, students feel bored, experience boredom, and do not respond well to the material taught by the teacher, because learning the art of music is mostly done in theory only, while practice is never carried out and taught to students because there is no infrastructure. -musical instruments available, and a room for practicing musical art. In the teaching and learning process, there is no learning media available, then the methods taught by the teacher do not vary, the teacher more often uses the lecture and question and answer method only. So that in reality the learning objectives that must be achieved in the teaching materials owned by the teacher have not been achieved optimally.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction between drama students and teachers on the academic achievement of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 6 Tebo. The type of research used in this study is a mixed method that combines quantitative and qualitative research. In this research, the sampling technique used purposive sampling method with a sample of 30 students in this study. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study is simple linear regression. The results of the study prove that theater arts for class VIII 1 of Tebo 6 Public Middle School with the theme Tasainen for the 2022/2023 school year have a significant positive effect on student-teacher interaction abilities and student learning outcomes. If Fcount 9.71 > 4.20 then H0 is rejected, with a significance level of 0.004 and 0.05, it can be concluded that student-teacher interaction has a significant effect on academic achievement in theatre. From the results of the coefficient R2 (R-squared) obtained with a coefficient of 0.231, it can be concluded that the effect of student-teacher interaction is 23.1% in the theater arts subject at SMP Negeri 6 Tebo. While the rest are other effects such as internal factors in the form of physical factors and psychological factors, as well as external factors in the form of family factors, school factors, and community factors.

Abstract

There are problems in the ability to speak skills, especially text procedures for students at MTsN 10 Bireuen. The problem that often occurs in learning is that students are not fluent in speaking English due to limited vocabulary, grammar, speech and understanding and students lack self-confidence. This study aims to improve the ability to speak text procedure through the application of the demonstration method through the media of realia objects in class IX 4 MTsN 10 Bireuen odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with four steps of planning (planning), action (action), observation (observation), and reflection (reflection). Data collection was carried out using observation, questionnaires, interviews, tests, and documentation. The results of the Classroom Action Research showed that there was an increase in the speaking skills of class IX 4 students at MTsN 10 Bireuen after applying the demonstration method through the media of realia objects. The learning completeness of class IX 4 semester 1 students at MTsN 10 Bireuen after using the demonstration method through realia objects in mastering the text procedure speaking skills increased from cycle I 71.68 to 77.97 in cycle II.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of dance for Padang 10 Public High School students using the Jigsaw Type learning method. The type of research is classroom action research. The research instrument was a test given at the end of each cycle. Primary data and secondary data are used in this research material. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the study prove that student performance and learning outcomes increase with the application of cooperative learning methods in puzzle-type dance education at SMA Negeri 10 Padang. It can be seen that in the 2nd cycle, the percentage of classical perfection of students' learning outcomes in the cognitive domain rose to 92% with very good score criteria, while in the 1st cycle, the percentage of students' learning classical perfection with low results was only 72%. The learning outcomes of students' abilities (psychomotor) were also very good as seen from the classical percentage of student learning outcomes in cycle I, namely 56% in cycle 2, rising to 88% with very good criteria. so the application of learning using the Jigsaw Type cooperative learning method can increase student performance and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to know and describe the learning of traditional music (Pupuik Sarunai) of grade X students of SMA Negeri 2 Hiliran Gumanti. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data in this study used primary data and secondary data. This research instrument is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and cameras. Data collection techniques include observation, literature study, interview and documentation study. The steps of analyzing data are data collection, data reduction, data display, verification and affirmation of conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of learning activities that were not in accordance with the module had an impact on the assessment of the learning outcomes of these students. From the evaluation of learning conducted by teachers, it was found that there were still many students who had not reached the KKM score, which was as many as 6 people, participants who got the KKM pass score of 16 people, and for students whose scores passed KKM only 9 people. In order to achieve the goals and learning outcomes, teachers must pay attention to teaching modules that have been designed and can be applied to the implementation of the learning process regarding the sarunai pupuik musical instrument.

Abstract

Learning Arabic at MTsN 10 Bireuen, especially in class IX.1 is still low, especially in Arabic speaking skills, because learning Arabic in class IX.1 they have not used effective and interesting strategies, learning models, and learning media so that they can attract students' interest in learning to speak Arabic. One effort as an alternative solution to this problem is to apply the cooperative learning time token learning model to support students in the process of learning Arabic speaking skills. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the aim of knowing the effectiveness of the Time Token type Cooperative Learning learning model to improve the Arabic speaking skills of class IX.1 MTsN 10 Bireuen academic year 2022/2023. The results of this study indicate an increase in the average score on the test. In the first cycle 73.65 and in the second cycle 79.85.
