The prevalence of stunting is still quite high. Unbalanced food intake and a history of recurrent infectious diseases are direct causes of stunting. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the characteristics of stunted toddlers in urban and rural areas. This type of research is analytic with a cross-sectional study approach, the sample is all stunted toddlers aged 24-59 months in urban and rural areas, the sample is taken using purposive sampling method as many as 72 toddlers. The results of the study showed that the characteristics of parents, age of MP-ASI (p = 0.020), history of infectious diseases (p = 0.038), and socioeconomic status there were significant differences in stunting toddlers in urban and rural areas, while there was no significant difference between history Exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.813), energy intake (p = 0.057), and protein intake (p = 0.386) in stunting toddlers in urban and rural areas. Suggested the need for increased knowledge of mothers.

Abstract

Low birth weight (LBW) is a condition of the baby who was born less than 2.500 gr regardless of prenancy period. Low birth weight (LBW) are the main problem that contributes perinatal mordibitas rate and perinatal mortality rate. Incidence of low birth weight (LBW) in the Bantul regency are the work area Kasihan I Health Center that found 69 cases. Based on the results of the preliminary study at Kasihan I Health Center, the age of pregnant women and the nutritional status of pregnant women is both factors that contribute to incidence of low birth weight (LBW) at Kasihan I Health Center. This research is to know the correlation between age of pregnant women and nutritional status of pregnant women with incidence of low birth weight in Kasihan I Health Center in 2022. This type of research is analytical observasion with case control design research. The population of this study were all mothers who gave birth to Kasihan I health center in 2020 as many as 36 people. Samples were taken using a saturated sampling of 32 people. The data analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis. Based on the chi square statistical test, p-value = 0,815 ( p > 0,05), the result show that there was no correlation between age of pregnant women with incidence of low birth weight (LBW), and p-value = 0,014 ( p < 0,05), there was correlation between nutritional status of pregnant women with incidence of low birth weight (LBW). There was no correlation between age of pregnant women with incidence of low birth weight in Kasihan I Health Center in 2022. There was correlation between nutritional status of pregnant women with incidence of low birth weight. Pregnant women can get a nutritional status checking in health facility to prevent LBW

Abstract

As Based on WHO limits, Indonesia is in the category of high stunting problems. So that fulfilment of nutritional intake at 1000 Day First, the child's life is very important. If in that age range the child gets optimal nutritional intake, the decline in the child's nutritional status can be prevented from the start. This research uses quantitative research with purposive sampling technique. This study uses quasi-experimental designs with a one-group pretest-posttest.The research population is all WUS, IRT, and pregnant women who live in Samata and Kampala Hamlets, Limapoccoe Village, totaling 242 residents who are female. Respondents in this study amounted to 30 respondents. The variables seen in this study are Knowledge and Attitudes Regarding the First 1000 Days of Life. This research was conducted in December 2021. Data processing was carried out in a descriptive-analytic manner with the Wilcoxon test. The results of the research conducted on the level of community knowledge in the Samata hamlet regarding the importance of the First 1000 Days of Life there was a significant difference (p-value 0.00) in the knowledge of the community before and after the counseling was carried out, while the attitude of the community when participating in the counseling the results obtained by the residents of the Samata hamlet did not have a difference. before and after the activity (p-value 1.00). It is necessary to have an integrated counseling program carried out by the puskesmas or posyandu cadres so that there is an increase in knowledge and attitudes of 1000 DoL which can prevent stunting in generations.

Abstract

South Sulawesi is the province with the highest production of seaweed, and flying fish is a pelagic fishery resource with significant economic value, contributing predominantly to fisheries production. Both seaweed and flying fish have excellent nutritional value. This research aims to determine the nutritional content of Lawi-lawi seaweed meatballs with flying fish substitution. The method used involves comparing various formulations of Lawi-lawi seaweed and flying fish ratios, namely 100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, 0:100. The research results reveal the highest carbohydrate content in formula 2 (75:25) at 29.91%, the highest protein content in treatment 0:100 at 20.31%, the highest fat content in formula 3 (50:50) at 11.08%, the highest water content in formula 1 (100:0) at 52.5%, and the highest iron content in formula 3 (50:50) at 24.7860 mg/kg. The Anova test results indicate a significant difference among various formulations in the nutritional content of protein, fat, water, and iron, but there is no significant difference in carbohydrate content. Based on organoleptic hedonic quality tests, Lawi-lawi seaweed meatballs with flying fish substitution are best in formula 4 (25:75) based on color, aroma, texture, and taste. This research concludes that formula 4 (25:75) is the preferred organoleptic formulation, being the most liked formulation. It is recommended to undertake various food diversifications to enhance public interest in consuming good and nutritious food, thereby improving the nutritional status of the community using local food ingredients
