Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of interesting learning media innovations available for physics lessons, therefore a questionnaire was distributed and it was found that static fluid material is one of materials that is difficult for students to understand. This research aims to find out how to develop, analyze the feasibility and level of effectiveness of the mobile learning media based on adobe flash cs6 in static fluid material. The research was conducted using Research and Development with ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) models. Respondents in this research were class XI IPA 6 students at SMAN 2 Medan. The product testing consists of small group test and large group test. Small group trials involved 10 students, and large group trials 30 students. The instrument used in this research were expert validation questionnaires, teacher validation questionnaires and determine the effectiveness of learning media by giving posttest question to students. At the validation stage of the result of the media expert assessment, the avergate percentage is 93,84% with a very decent category and result of material expert assessment get an average percentage 98% with a decent category. The result of the assessment of the physics teacher response 91,53%. The result of the learning media effectiveness test given to small and large groups get an average percentage of 70% and 86,66%. This shows that the media developed is very feasible and effective as learning media in learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) determine students’ cognitive learning outcomes using RQA learning strategy assisted by Google Classroom on Static Fluids topic, 2) determine students’ cognitive learning outcomes using expository learning strategy assisted by Google Classroom, and 3) to prove the effect of RQA learning strategy assisted by Google Classroom on students’ cognitive learning outcomes on static fluids topic for class XI SMA N 1 Percut Sei Tuan. The type of research is a quasi-experimental research design with Pretest-Postest Group Design. The population of this research is all students of class XI SMA N 1 Percut Sei Tuan which consists of 6 classes. The sample of this research was taken by using simple random sampling technique, namely class XI MIPA 5 as the experimental class and XI MIPA 6 as the control class, each consisting of 23 students and 20 students. The instrument used is achievemnet test, namely a multiple choice test consisting of 10 items. The results of data analysis showed the average pretest value of the experimental class was 54.35 and the control class was 47.50. After being given treatment, the average posttest value for the experimental class was 75.05 and the control class was 53.00. By using the one sample t-test obtained the value of Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 (0.00 < 0.05) so Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect due to the use of RQA learning strategies assisted by Google Classroom on students' cognitive learning outcomes of XI MIPA on static fluids topic.

Abstract

This research aims to know the level of validation and level of practicality of the development of e-LKPD based on HOTS with a 4D model of Doppler effect material from a material expert, media expert, teacher, and student. The research type is a 4D model but this research is limited to 3D steps that are defined, designed, and develop. The research population was students in SMA Negeri 3 Pematangsiantar Class XI Science. The sample research is taken by cluster sampling. In this research, the validators have an instrument with a questionnaire of development e-LKPD to know the level of validation. The instrument of this study was a questionnaire from a material expert, media expert, and teacher. The analysis results that development gets level validation and practicality are very worthy with 92,5% from the material expert, very worthy with 97,5% from the media expert, and very worthy with 95,2% from a teacher. Based on the data, the conclusion is that the development of e-LKPD based on HOTS with a 4D model on the Doppler effect is very worthy of validation and practicality.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a test instrument based on HOT (Higher Order Thinking) that meets the aspects of validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and discriminatory power. This type of research is development research with a 4-D model by Thiagarajan, including the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. Small group tests were conducted on 10 students and large group tests were conducted on 30 students in class XI MIA 1 at SMA Negeri 1 Sibolangit. The results showed that the HOT (Higher Order Thinking) based test instrument on work and energy material consisted of 10 questions that were suitable for use, with expert validation test results obtained 80% valid items, small-scale test results obtained 83% valid items, test reliability of 0.8683 in the high correlation category, the difficulty level of the test in the medium category is 100%, the differentiability of the test in the good category is 80% and 20% is sufficient. The results of the large-scale test obtained test reliability of 0.79 with a high correlation category, the level of difficulty of the test were 70% moderate, 20% easy, and 10% difficult, and the distinguishing power of the test was 60% sufficient and 40% good.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine student activity during the learning process using the Virtual Lab-assisted Discovery learning model on the subject matter of work and energy, (2) determine the effect of the Virtual Lab-assisted Discovery learning model on students' ability to understand physics concepts on the subject matter of effort and energy in class X semester II SMA Sw. Dharma Bhakti Siborongborong Academic Year 2022/2023.This type of research is quasi-experimental. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA Sw. Dharma Bhakti Siborongborong in even semester T.A. 2022/2023. The sample for this research was taken from two classes, namely class X IPA 1 (as the experimental class) and class X IPA 2 (as the control class), each of which consisted of 22 students and 20 students who were determined by the Cluster Random Sampling technique. Then given a different treatment, the experimental class using the Discovery Learning model assisted by the Virtual Lab and the control class with conventional learning. The data used in this study used a description test, the number of questions was 21 items which had been validated by the validator. From the research results, it was obtained that the average pretest value for the experimental class was 45.54 and for the control class was 43.81. After learning was completed, the posttest was given with the average result for the experimental class was 78.14 and the control class was 72.62. The data analysis technique used is the t test after the data is normally distributed and homogeneous. Based on data analysis and hypothesis testing, it was found that there was a significant influence of the Virtual Lab-assisted Discovery learning model on students' ability to understand physics concepts on the subject matter of work and energy.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' physics learning outcomes by applying NHT learning on optical instrument material. The population in this study were students of class XI of SMAN 1 Secanggang in the academic year 2023/2024. The samples in this study were XI MIPA 2 class as a control class totaling 30 students who were given conventional learning, and XI MIPA 3 class as an experimental class totaling 30 students who were given NHT learning. The sampling method used was quasi-experiment and used pretest-posttest control group design. Data on physics learning outcomes were collected using a test instrument in the form of 10 questions. The improvement of students' physics learning outcomes is seen by comparing the average value of hypothesis tests that are normally distributed and homogeneous in both classes. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that the application of NHT learning on optical devices material can significantly improve student learning outcomes.
