Abstract

This study aimed to examine the use of visual learning media in economics lessons, based on the deep learning-based Independent Curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The informants included economics teachers and grade X.11 students at SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta. Data collection involved interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The results indicated that the use of visual learning media in economics lessons has not been optimally implemented and is still dominated by conventional learning media, such as whiteboards accompanied by verbal explanations. This situation reflects a discrepancy between classroom learning and the demands of the Independent Curriculum, which prioritizes meaningful learning through deep learning. To address this issue, students in the Introduction to School Environment (PLP) program implemented visual learning media, one of which was a smart box, to create a more engaging, interactive, and enjoyable learning process. The application of this visual learning media has been shown to improve students' understanding of economic activities and encourage student activeness in the question-and-answer process, resulting in more meaningful learning in accordance with the principles of the deep learning-based Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

Cireng Stik Panir (CISTAR) is an entrepreneurial project of Accounting students at Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya in order to fulfill the assignment for the Business Feasibility Study course. This product is a snack innovation that combines traditional cireng made from tapioca flour with a spicy Indonesian shredded chicken filling, shaped like an ice cream stick, and coated with breadcrumbs to produce a crispy texture on the outside and chewy on the inside. The activity was carried out for two weeks (October 1 and 8, 2025) at UNIPA Dukuh Menanggal Campus II through direct sales and online marketing using WhatsApp and Instagram. The initial capital of IDR 200,000 was obtained from contributions from four team members, with an effective production cost of IDR 112,230 for 40 pcs, resulting in a COGS of IDR 2,806 per pc and a profit of IDR 26,570 (margin ≈26%). The SWOT analysis shows strengths in the uniqueness of taste and shape, great opportunities in the spicy snack and frozen food market, but has weaknesses in product durability and the threat of intense competition. This project successfully developed students' financial independence, entrepreneurial spirit, decision-making skills, and creativity through hands-on experience in production, distribution, marketing, and consumer interaction. Abstract

The National Food Security Program in Central Lombok Regency plays a key role in enhancing regional food resilience and reducing stunting in West Nusa Tenggara. This study analyzes the synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and local government in addressing stunting risks and contributing to national food security. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research examines secondary data, program reports, and stunting prevalence indicators. The findings show a significant decline in stunting rates, though data fluctuations highlight the need for better integration and synchronization. The stunting mitigation approach combines nutrition interventions and local food security measures, such as balanced food programs, supplementary feeding, and nutrition education. The collaboration between TNI and the local government has been seen in initiatives like the Foster Parent Program for Stunting Children (BAAS), agricultural support, and land management. TNI’s territorial role is crucial in reaching grassroots communities and promoting awareness of balanced nutrition. However, the synergy is not fully integrated, facing challenges like limited coordination, differing priorities, and inadequate beneficiary data integration. The study concludes that enhancing coordinated, area-based collaboration between TNI and local government is critical for improving stunting mitigation efforts and strengthening national food security. Policy recommendations include improving coordination, data systems, and optimizing TNI’s role in sustainable nutrition and food security interventions.

Abstract

Optimal lighting performance is crucial to support sports activities, especially in outdoor facilities operating at night. To improve energy efficiency and reduce dependence on conventional electricity sources, the implementation of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) is a viable alternative. This study aims to analyze the lighting load requirements and electrical power consumption at Sasmita Jaya Field as a basis for designing an appropriate solar power system capacity. The research methods include measuring lighting levels using a lux meter, collecting technical specifications for all lighting fixtures, calculating total installed power, and analyzing daily energy usage profiles. In addition, an evaluation of lighting conditions was conducted based on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 03-6575-2001) for sports facilities to ensure adequate lighting quality. The results show that the main electrical load comes from the main lighting system, with daily energy consumption significantly affected by high nighttime operating hours. Based on the total energy demand and load profile, PLTS capacity planning is carried out by calculating daily energy requirements, solar panel derating factors, battery capacity, and the required inverter size. The recommended PLTS capacity is expected to meet lighting needs independently, reliably, and efficiently. The implementation of a solar power system at the Sasmita Jaya Field has the potential to reduce long-term operational costs, increase energy efficiency, and encourage the use of environmentally friendly renewable energy sources.

Abstract

The development of social media and smartphone usage has driven changes in the production and consumption of audiovisual content, particularly through vertical video formats. This study aims to analyze how visual language in vertical short films is used to construct intimate narratives. The focus of this research includes cinematographic elements such as framing, composition, shot size, and spatial arrangement within the 9:16 format. A qualitative approach is employed through visual observation and documentation of vertical short films by Roman Adolfo and Mesh Virwani published on social media. The data are analyzed descriptively to identify the role of visual elements in narrative delivery. The results indicate that vertical orientation influences visual strategies, with centered compositions and the dominance of medium shots to close-ups. Limited lateral space encourages vertical spatial use and the application of color and framing to enhance emotional expression. Vertical short films provide a more personal and intimate viewing experience and represent an adaptation of cinematic visual language within the digital media ecosystem.

Abstract

Persuasive communication plays a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of public services, particularly in encouraging public compliance with tax obligations. This study aims to analyze persuasive communication strategies in Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) services at the Kendal Regency Regional Revenue Agency (Badan Pendapatan Daerah-BPN) and the factors influencing their effectiveness. This study employed a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, comprising data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that persuasive communication strategies are implemented through clear service procedures, the use of communicative language, and the responsiveness of officers in addressing obstacles. These strategies are effective in fostering positive understanding and perceptions among taxpayers. However, service effectiveness still faces challenges in human resources and internal communication, which impact service consistency, primarily due to the imbalance between the number of officers and the workload. These findings suggest that the effectiveness of persuasive communication is determined not only by the quality of interactions between officers and taxpayers but also by the organization's internal preparedness to maintain consistent service quality.

Abstract

This study evaluates the level of compliance of Hazardous and Toxic Materials (B3) management policies and practices at Oil and Gas Company X in Banggai Regency with the provisions of Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 74 of 2001. The method used is content analysis of the company's internal documents (B3 management procedures, QHSSE policies, ERP, transportation safety) matched with key articles of PP 74/2001 (Chapter I; Chapter II; Chapter III Articles 11–20; Chapter V; Chapter VI; Chapter VIII), and enriched with qualitative data through cross-functional key informant interviews and worker surveys related to B3 implementation. The results show a high level of compliance in the aspects of SDS (Safety Data Sheet) obligations, transportation, packaging, storage with emergency response facilities, periodic health checks, and training accompanied by evidence of management support and community involvement programs. Gaps are seen in the complexity of internal procedures, capacity & load analysis of B3 warehouses, labeling, manual documentation, and community assistance mechanisms that have not been documented in specific procedures. Practical implications include procedural simplification, digitalization of SDS and inventory, increased warehouse capacity/zoning, standardization of GHS (Globally Harmonized System) labeling, and strengthening the integration of community assistance into the Emergency Response Plan (ERP). The findings indicate that Oil and Gas Company X is in the moderately compliant–highly compliant category with PP 74/2001, but requires targeted improvements to ensure effective, efficient, and sustainable compliance.
